Desperate. plz reply soon
« on: March 09, 2008, 06:29:20 AM »
Hello!

First I want to say that aidsmeds.com is absolutely the best AIDS site I'v found!
I also want to apologise my bad english.

My trouble is that I spent one month in Thailand. I had sex with 4 girls, two of girls where prostitutes. I used condom during normal sex but I gave oral sex to all of them without any protection. I know i'm stupid but what is the change to get infected?

Secondly I had sex with one of these girls witch wasn't prostitute thou. She told me that she had had sex with only two guys before and had always used condoms so there shouldn't be any chance to get infected. Any way my condom slipped of at the very end of the act. I was drunken so it took maybe 5 seconds before I noticed it. I can't be sure if she told the truth about her earlier sex life.

How concerned should I be? What is the change that I got infected?

Thanks for replyes before hand! This is tearing me apart :(

Thx for reply RapidRod! I feel much easier after ur message   ::)

So are you saying that I don't need to get tested?

But what if this girl had HIV? I was still having sex with her 5 - 10 seconds without condom.

I really don't know how easely HIV is transmitted so it's good that you guys are here to share some info, I appreciate it.

Thanks

As long as you were wearing a condom during intercourse you were not at risk. None of the other activities put you at risk for transmission. As far as the very brief and single incident in which the condom slipped off of you for a few seconds, that is virtually a no risk situation. The condom protected you until it slipped off. HIV is not easy to transmit and it's harder to accomplish from female to male. Given what you have reported you may if you want to test at 13 weeks just for your own peace of mind. I feel confident that you will test negative if you decide to do that.

You do need to avoid situations in which you are having sex when you're drunk. That's a very dangerous thing to be doing and it is just that combination which often results in unsafe sex that puts your life at risk.

This time out I expect you will come through this ok if you decide to test. The risk was very slight if any.

Thx also for your reply Andy!

I have now reached the piece of mind, nine days after this incident because of you guys. So thanks very much for your help. I see if I have time to go to tests after few months but I think I don't have to do it for my self any more.

Thanks
