#1: Inspite of the cold temperatures.  Inspite of the 80% chance of SNOW on Saturday.  Inspite of the dark, dank, endlessly gray days.  Inspite of it ALL my gladiolas are coming up! ;D  I noticed them this morning.  They are about 3 inches tall right now.  I'm so happy!

#2: For all of you Star Wars experts, I have a question.  What is the name of the little pointy-eared critter that sat with Jabba the Hut and had that annoying, yet cute, cackle/laugh?

Thanks!
Mum

1. Glads are hearty mofos! I've grown them to blooming in pots.

2.  Hell I didn't even know and I was a Han Solo player at conventions in my youth!

Cut it out! Glads?   I was so happy to see a patch of  mostly brownish with a tinge of green grass.  Crocuses are usually the first things to come up around here.  We are going to get rain and more rain.  :'(

No idea on your "Star Whores" character(as #4 calls it)  ;D...Thank goodness for Basquo

Salacious B. Crumb the monkey lizard - thanks Basquo and many thanks!  My brother is the all time Star Wars convention hound and he didnt' know either.  I'll get a kick out of calling him later today and telling him something he didn't know.  Now I need to get a shirt made with his picture on it for #6 (the cutie in my avitar).

Snow, I've been corrected by my mother.  What's coming up are my irises.  Next should come my tulips, THEN my glads will come up.  These are planted up against the house and in full sun, so they are warmer than the ones planted down the hill near the road.  They aren't up yet.  Sorry about that.  I saw green leaves and got very excited.
