Damn it all to hell and call Ann Quickdraw...I was posting to the other thread for the 3rd time and when I pressed send, it was locked.... :o  As I was trying to say in my previous post.....ahem....I need my Royal ass kicked, how could I leave out Prince. He is just so sexy it hurts. I remember when I was a teen, I had my bedroom walls covered with pictures of him. Over 500 to be exact...And I still remember his birthday..6/7/58..Now am I a fan or what? :D

Cindy, I am feeling better today, no queasy tummy but I keep having headaches. I took an 800 mg ib earlier but it didn't seem to do any good. I even tried to sleep it away but when I woke up, it was still there. My roomie medicated me with some good green and now it is gone. Go Figure... ::)

Well, I am off to play a bit of Warcraft....I need to let off a bit of frustration... :o

Morning ladies:

Queen, I remember when Prince's first album  came out, and the cover where he is shirtless.  I thought "wow, who the hell is this?"  Yes, he is a sexy man, definitely.  I'm glad you're feeling better.

Cin, I hope you have a nice time on v-day.  I'm not doing anything, other than going to class.  We are supposed to have a potluck at class, though.  I promised to bring potato salad.  I don't usually eat at that time of night, but of course there are always exceptions.

I was thinking about who else I would have a one night stand with.  I must say I wouldn't mind having one with Slash.  I have always thought he was mysterious and sexy.  I also like Mick Jagger and Steven Tyler (I know, I know, gross right).  Call me jaded.  I've always been attracted to men that aren't the first pick among people.  Not sure why that is.  I know a little about Mick Jagger's background and I think he would be very erotic.  And Steven Tyler, well, he's just hot.

Today I have to take some movies back to the library (they're a day late) and drop something off at my ASO.  My dad has called four times between 11:00 last night and 7:00 this morning.  It's kind of aggravating.  He knows I'll call him back.  I was sleeping when he called and I don't hear the phone when I'm in a dead sleep.  I can't imagine what it is he wants.  But I'm assuming he wants me to go up there for some reason.  And I can't.  It's not my turn to go up there (my brother is this week) and I don't have the gas to make extra trips (my father lives about 35 minutes away).  I'll deal with this later....    Have a good one ladies-

Today I am flat out being lazy.  It's after 9 and we haven't even started school yet. Worse is that I'm totally unmotivated to get started.  Had the whole day - well most of it - all planned out only to have plans squashed by the great white tundra falling from the sky and sticking to my driveway.  >:(

We are in desperate need of groceries and I can't get out to shop.  Looks like that's what I'll be doing for Valentine's Day.  Looks like homemade biscuits, sausage, sausage gravy, and scrambled eggs for dinner.  Oh, wait, I don't have any milk. *sigh* There goes that plan!  Walmart is 25 miles away.  Maybe later, we'll call and see what the roads in town look like.  I'll send hubby out to get milk at IGA.  Can't much afford to shop there -everything is so danged expensive!

Aw, crap, there's the dryer buzzing at me.  I'm finally down to the last load washed and dried - from the weekend :o  Now to get it all folded and put away.  Just another excuse to sit by butt on the couch ;)

Hope you all are having a great (productive) day!

Ugh, I hate this stomach virus, if it isn't one thing, it's another. Stomach is feeling funny and now I have the runs. Just great but I guess I shouldn't complain, it could be worse. Nothing on the schedule for today. So, I guess I will just relax..

Hi Girls

I have been lurking, but not in the mood to post.  Things are over for the Latin Lover and I.  We got in a huge fight and he is just being way over dramatic, he says whatever I have to say does not matter.  The fight is along story and don't feel like going into now, since I will break down in tears.  My saving grace is that my new roommate moved in and its nice to have someone around.

Queen sorry that you are sick but I love your Tinkerbell thing.  I need to learn how to do something like that.

Well I am off to get somethings done I work the next 10 days in a row.  So i will mostly likely be lurking for a while unless I get time at night to post when I get home.

Snowangel - Scott Baio never really thrilled me. Now Rick Springsteen heee was yummy. Michael Jackson and Prince didn’t do it for me either. I haven’t been attracted to very many men who where not white and the ones I have been attracted to had Caucasian features.
LOL even though Michael has turned white he still doesn’t do it for me.

Mum – Did your midwife ever suggest kegel exercises?
It’s the muscle you use to stop peeing mid-flow. Do about 200 a day and it will likely help.
Doing kegels will make birth easier and make sex more enjoyable for both partners.
Plus it can keep all your pelvic organs from falling and it can help prevent leaking urine when you sneeze or cough.

Viv - I have watched a few of the Scott Baio shows. I’m not hooked on it but it can be amusing.

Cindy – I forgot about Bruce Willis.

Queen - Get well soon

Ok Girls I have to pipe up and ask who is Rick Springsteen?   Are you talking about Rick Springfield who sang that song "Jesse's Girl" or are you talking about Bruce Springsteen?  Or maybe I am just to young and don't know who Rick Springsteen is.  If that is the case please tell me who this person is.

Sunseeker--- Sorry to hear that things are over between you and LL. Most breakups usually end with someone hurting and I am sorry that it is you. Whatever the cause of the breakup, it is indeed his loss. So, you got a new roomie, huh? It's nice not to be alone and have someone around. But look out for the little quirks... ;) As for my avatars, I just do a search to find them. I wish I knew how to do my own.

Winiroo-- Michael Jackson never did anything for me either, he was just too fem for my tastes. And now he looks like he should be part of a carnivale. I think he was trying too hard to look like Elizabeth Taylor... ;D Scott Baio I liked when he played Chachi on Happy Days and I have never watched his reality show.

Speaking of reality shows, I watched The Flavor of Love 3 last night. OMG!!!! Now I know I am a bit ghetto but these females are ghetto with a capital G. Then 5 of the women were picked by internet fans, I guess the fans were pissed with poor Flav. Next week's episode looks like the hood rats are going to be fighting..I will have a blunt and a bowl of popcorn ready... ;) It amazes me what people will do for 15 minutes of fame..The season finale of Nip/Tuck is next week. Last night's episode was good as hell, not sure if any of you ladies follow that show.

Hmmm, I thought they meant Rick Springfield...

Hey ladies:

I think they're talking about Rick Springfield.  I don't know who Rick Springsteen is.

Sun, I'm sorry to hear things didn't work out with LL.  Wasn't there someone else?

Queen, I hope you're feeling better now.

Wendy, right after I read your post, the part about kegels, I started doing them. :D

Nothing exciting happening today.  I dropped something off at my ASO and went to the store for some soda.  That's been about the extent of my day.  There's a new episode of Law&Order on tonight, which I'll probably watch.  More drama with the family, but that's another story.  Have a good evening ladies-

I'm no longer interested in Flav's quest for love. It's old and tired. He isn't ever going to find a good woman with that show just some new booty calls.
Its all just a train wreck.

Well, he says this is the last one. I was hoping that it would've worked out with him and Deelicious but according to the show last night, she ran off to do jean commercials. Hmmm, I remember her saying money wasn't an issue since her baby daddy had money. She sure had me convinced. I'm telling you, you got to see these hood rats. None of them seem sincere and they act like they are trying to be the next New York. Lord knows there can only be one New York!!!!

Betty-- I am feeling better, thanks. Nothing eventful happening but it seems like my blog is getting interesting. I don't expect anyone to share my views but today I was called selfish and shallow because I choose not to disclose. The day before I was compared to a crack head and supposedly living in a fantasy world by someone who use to be a forum member here. But I am not discouraged by those comments, more like amused. I wasn't expecting a fan club when I started blogging. My reason was to talk about things that I have kept bottled up and share some of my experiences in hopes that someone out there could relate. I have found that and more than once.

Nothing on the agenda for me either this evening.

LOL, doing Kegels now, getting ready for Valentine's Day, lmao.  JK   ;D

Sun - So sorry about LL, at least you don't work with him, that would suck.  You know there are always more, so don't despair.  Yes, let us know how the roommate situation goes.  Didn't you mention that the roomie is a HE and much younger, like 23yo or so?  That should be interesting......  Good luck with it all!  :)

Queen, be happy you don't work where I do.  I dread the day when I am at work and don't feel well.  I have to go around the corner, through double doors to the lobby.  Push open heavy glass doors out to the elevator area, take about 30 paces, turn the corner down the hall and use a key to get into the ladies room.  If I EVER have to squeeze cheek I am in BIG trouble.  I hope you get to feeling better soon.

BT~  That's cool how you and your sibs alternate weeks to help out your father.  So why is he calling you now?  Do you happen to live the closest?

Forgot to say when we were listing our "guys"......I was at a Megadeth show a few years back, at a small local place in DC.  "Misfits" opened for them, and they are like KISS with the face make-up and all, but very brawny and muscular like Queen's Smackdown guys, and best of all, they play SCREAMING metal music.  Well, Misfits finished their show and I was upstairs on the rail looking down over the stage area, when someone tapped me on my shoulder.  I turned around and it was the bass player.  This guy was HUGE, like 2-1/2 foot wide shoulders huge, massive dude.  He motioned for me to come backstage with him.  My first thought was to go ahead, in hopes of meeting Megadeth, lol, but I got so worked up that I smiled and watched as he walked away, thinking I was following him.  LOL  I was never a groupie, but it was kinda cool having this musician tap me on the shoulder.  :D

OK, just found out Misfits have been around since 1978, and hail from Jersey!  :D  The bass player's name is Jerry Only, and yes, he is the TRUCK that tapped me on the shoulder!  Look.......

http://www.misfits.com/photos/current-shigeo8_19-001.html

OK, stupid me, I was up early today watching the ice storm dump on us.  We are allowed to follow the schedule of the Fed Govt, and they were allowed to go in 2 hours late today.  I got to work about 45 mins later than usual, but arrived at 915am.  I really didn't have to be there until 1030am, and they still would've paid me 8 hours!  Isn't that the coolest?!?!?  Next time I will sleep in for sure.  I live the furthest away, and definitely had the worst of the ice storm this morning, although it was bad everywhere.

I absolutely can't wait to see Iceman tomorrow!!!  We are going to dinner and I am always so excited to see him.  He really is the coolest, sweetest, sexiest guy.  Thank goodness I kissed all of those toads!  :D

Evening ladies:

Queen, all I can say about those people is, well fuck 'em!  I will have to check out your blog to find out the latest.  I have been following it.  Everyone is different in how they handle this disease.  Some people think their way is the only way.  I get miffed at people like that.  I think that's why I end up going back and forth with some of the people here.

Cin, I hope you have fun tomorrow night.  It sounds like you have a dream job.  You're very fortunate.  Oh, no I don't live the closest to my father.  The god of the siblings does.  My dad has to have cataract surgery on the 27th and that was the big emergency that he phoned me about.  Give me a break.......

I do hope everyone has a good day tomorrow.  I hope I do also.  Valentine's Day is just another day for me.  I'll probably check out the online Kroger's ad to see if they have Pepsi products on sale this week; then tomorrow night is my ethics class.  Have a good sleep ladies-

I thought I would post before I go to bed. It didn't take long for Kevin to act like a dick head. He left me a pissy message tonight. He says that I am hard to get a hold of. Let me explain....For some odd reason I can't call Kevin on my cell and it is a local number. So, I was left waiting for him to call me. Some days I didn't get a call but did I cop a tude? No. I don't know why I can't call his phone, his carrier is Verizon. Yesterday I called the ghetto cell company I have and asked them why I couldn't call him when his number is local. They told me that they would have the technician check into it and for me to call back.

While this was going on and even before, I explained to Kevin that I don't always hear my phone ring. I even have a message to that effect. I told him if I don't answer to leave a message, any other time he never leaves a message.  So, I have been missing his calls. I told him not to take it personal and that it wasn't me ignoring him. I thought he understood this and he said he did. He knows I wear hearing aids. WTF? I have even tried text messaging him but come to find out he didn't have text messaging, he said he was going to get it. Now why do I get a bitchy message? It pissed me off so I turned my phone off. He acts like it is my fault. And to be honest, it turned me off totally since we haven't even been knowing each other that long. Now I am wondering if I should back off and just walk away. The last thing I need is a man tripping who isn't even my man yet....Sheesh.. ::)

As for my blog, I don't expect everyone to agree with my views but you think people could be a bit more understanding. But then not everyone looks at life from both sides of the coin. I try to. I swear if I was a Christian I would make myself a cross and climb up on it. Maybe the people passing judgment would feel better... :D But just like I get negative comments, I get good ones too so it balances out for me. I am sure there are people that share my views on things but I'm just bold or crazy enough to blog about it. Oh well, 2 tears in a bucket....Motherfuck it, I say. It won't stop me from saying what I feel and as long as Peter doesn't have a problem with it, I'm not overly concerned. I don't go out my way to offend people and those that feel offended can just stop reading. That's my take on it. I learned early on in life there's no pleasing some people.

I'm off to bed. I need to make some calls tomorrow and get my depo shot..Sweet Dreams ladies...

Morning ladies:

Well, it's supposed to be in the 30's here today.  Wow, maybe I should wear shorts!  Of course, tomorrow night it's supposed to dip to 5.  And we've had so much snow.  The last time we've had this much was 3 years ago.  I'm so anxious for spring.  It seems like an eternity right now.

Queen, I did read your blog and the comments.  I would be livid if it were me.  But we all react differently.  About Kevin.... I don't know why he would be acting possessive like that.  I hope things work out the way you want them to.  It sounds like you might need to have a talk with him or something.

Nothing exciting on my end.  Today is valentine's day and I don't expect to receive flowers or candy from anyone, unless I send them to myself.  Which of course I will not be doing.  Not going out to eat with anyone.  Nothing romantic planned, since I don't have a love life.  I hope somebody's going to get some!  Have a good one ladies-

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Like I tell the kids, it is the day of love...LOL!

Queen I am sorry that you are having to deal with judgemental people. I don't understand why people just can't disagree without judging. We should all be able to say what we feel without people judging us...I judge myself enough, I have no time to judge others... :)

Today should be a good day. The kids bring in all their little goodies...another excuse for me to eat junk!

I forgot to mention this when posting this morning.

19 years ago, on Feb. 12th, just two days ago, I tested positive.  Also 19 years ago, tomorrow, my first husband died.  This was when I was in treatment for drug/alcohol abuse.  I guess time does heal wounds (referring to the death of my husband), while maybe not all of them (wounds).  I guess I wasn't even thinking about this a few days ago.  Then it just hit me when I got out of the shower this morning.  Not really sure why.  There's been lots of changes, in myself, and HIV.  It's now usually long-term survival, instead of a year or a few months.  Meds have changed.  I remember taking AZT in the early days, being megadosed with it, and having to go in for a transfusion because of my hemoglobin being only 2.  I remember the ASO here being only in three church offices, one of the offices being for the director, one being for the nun who helped run it, and one being full of literature and books for people with HIV/AIDS.  There was no such things as case managers.  I remember a few years after being diagnosed, in 1994, getting the official AIDS diagnosis, getting the wasting syndrome, going down to about 80 lbs, and having Hospice care.  I remember all the folks I used to sit with who were ravaged by this disease, in their final hours and their subsequent memorial services/funerals. I remember a lady's (who had AIDS) little girl being harassed at school by kids who had heard of her mum's diagnosis, who used to taunt her saying things like "ha, ha, ha, your mom's gonna die," and the teacher not even shaking the woman's hand when she would go in for parent/teacher conferences.  I remember being at a friend's (who had AIDS) house visiting and a couple people going by and egging his front door and the anger I felt.  So many stories....  I know this disease still kills, but I don't go to near as many funerals as I used to.

Anyway ladies, I guess I just want to say, I remember...............

Happy Valentine's Day, Ladies. I am not expecting anything from Kevin so it will just be another day to me. I seem to have missed his call while washing the dishes. Oh well... With the attitude he has taken up, I'm not sure I even want to be bothered anymore. It totally turned me off.

Wishful, it is good to see you back. Glad you are feeling better too. I see you got a thing for the young bucks.. :D Yeah, Kevin is cute but I find his attitude to be very unattractive lately. I didn't realize you had asked me this before, sorry for not answering.

KeepingFaith--- Oh snap, you know one of the hood rats huh? And she really acts that way in person? What a shame. I don't see the attraction there either when it comes to Flav. But whoever ends up getting with him definitely has their work cut out for them especially with all the kids he has. I remember back in the day when he was gettin thrown in jail for not paying child support. I guess he was "fighting the power" and his ass lost. He should know the court system don't like deadbeat dads, silly rabbit.

Betty--- What horrible memories. But look at you now, you are a survivor and have definitely come a long way.

Viv---What you got planned for your Bday tomorrow? I notice it is easier for some people to be judgmental than understanding. Or to follow along with popular belief than take the time to look at things from all sides. I'm glad I am not like that.

Have a good day ladies...

Queen: yes she does at like that in person. Every since she won the beauty review in 9th grade. Did you hear her kept talking about that fried chicken. I sure hope her butt can cook. Did you see when she fell. But she cool REPPING for DA 662. I didnt think anyone from mississippi would make it. Most of them on there are strippers.

Happy  Valentine's Day my Sweeties!

Where I was: Part 1

Hubby and I own a gift shop called Whimzical Ideas.  It's not on the web yet, so no need to look.  We decided it would be a good idea to set up a kiosk in our mall last weekend (Thurs - Sat). We couldn't set up until after 9pm on Wed. night.  Due to our contract, we had to keep mall hours: 10am - 9pm.  I was usually there from 9:30am - 9:01pm.  The mall sets up a stool to sit on.

Even in my most teeny-bopper days I was NEVER a mall rat.  But, in those 3 days, I learned a lot about humanity - especially human teenagers.  Hubby and i scouted the mall for a week before our set up to find the right place with the right amount of traffic.  We found a really prime spot as far as patrons.  As far as a view, I couldn't have picked it worse!  To my direct right was Victoria's Secret complete with an 8ft half-nekked woman on the window.  Just inside was a bottomless manaquin with a hand strategically placed on her butt cheeks.  Most of the time, the lady went in and the man waited in front of my kiosk for her to come out.  One idiot lady came out to show her guy a scant nighty that she was planning to buy.  She walked through the store and stood in the doorway IN FULL VIEW of everyone walking in the mall!  I busted out laughing.  Another guy, thinking he would be smooth, leaned up against the window just outside the door.  I smirked at him and nodded to the "picture" he was now proudly standing next to - He put his hands in his pockets and smoothly walked away.

Just past VS was Baby Gap.  In it's window were 9 pictures of really cute babies.  (And all the people said, "AWWWWW!")  They got my bio-clock ticking, so I looked to my left at Wet Seal.  Good grief!  Their window display consisted of 9 shirts with some demented person's idea of Valentine humor.  One said, "Love will tear us apart".  What the heck!?!  What sick sucker buys that?  I did find one to help Matty with his romance problem.  It was a pretty black shirt with pink heart outines on it.  It said, "Ditch her, pick me".  His birthday is in July - guess what he's getting ;)

VS was advertising undies 5 for $25.  WS had their's 5 for $10.  I attatched string to a rubber band and advertised panties 5 for $1.

After sitting on that danged stool for 11hrs, I was in some serious hurtin'!  The only way I could walk was with a very wide stance.  I only wear dresses / skirts (comfort reasons, not religious).  All day friday, I felt like a VS ad!

Evening ladies-

Mum, I loved your stories.  I'm wondering how your valentine's day went?

I've never seen Flavor of Love or the New York show.  I think my favorite show right now is The Wire (Queen, don't you watch that).  This is its final season, which I think is too bad.  I wonder if its filmed in Baltimore (I have a niece that lives there).  I really don't have anything to report.  I went to Kroger's today to get some eggs and tomato soup.  That's my life anymore ladies, one boring day after another.  Better than being in constant drama I suppose.  Have a good one-

Betty-- You mean this is the last season of The Wire? I don't watch it all the time but watched it the other night. I like the little thug girl, Snoop. I didn't see her on the last time I watched, I hope she didn't get killed off. I also like Omar too. I will have to watch it on HBO on Demand and catch up. Girl, if you want some comedic relief, watch The Flavor of Love. New York finished her show and got with a dude named Taylor Made, I forget his real name. They have since moved in together and are engaged. I hope it lasts, I'm not sure if I can take a part 3 to I love New York. Don't feel bad, my life is one boring day after another too. I think it is just because it is winter. I am more active during the summer months.

Nothing to report here either...

Hi all! I have to admit I watched "I Love New York 2" and I liked it. The lengths people will go through. I don't watch "Flavor of Love" though because I can't stand how women degrade themselves like that. I guess it is good for entertainment value.

I had such a good day at school with the kids. They brought in so many gifts for Valentine's Day. It was almost like Christmas! I have a ton of candy and all kinds of goodies! They are so cute...  ;D ;D

I celebrated my birthday tonight with my family. My sister, who is 18, had a date tonight and she said she would take me out to dinner tomorrow on my "actual birthday". She turned 18 on the 1st and I got her 18 little gifts and wrote a poem describing each gift...it turned out really cute and she loved it. She said that she did not know how to top that gift for me and she wanted to get me something good. Well it turns out she made a blanket for me. It is fleece-one side red w/black dog paws and the other side black. The blanket is connect by tying the fringe that she cut together. She never does anything like and she was very excited. I told her Vivian (my dog) will love and she said, "It is not for her, it's for you" So cute. Anyways...that's about it. The kids know it is my birthday tomorrow so we'll what happens!

Mum: Those teenie bobbers are something else. I worked retail when I was in college. Now I hardly ever go to the mall

Wishful: You make me laugh! I would love to hang out with you.

Betty-Wow...you're doing some heavy reminiscing...

Good night all!

Hi girls
Just wanted to say Happy V-Day.  Today was a sad day without the Latin Lover in it.  I miss him so much and this is the 6th day in a row that I have cried myself self to sleep.  My niece and nephew did call me and wish me happy valentines day.  Then my dad dropped by a present from them and it was pictures that they had taken for valentines day.  They were really cute.  Well I am off, I will check back in, in a couple days.

Kevin has been blowing up my phone most of the day. He left me a voice mail apologizing and then called some more. I still have not answered. I will call him tomorrow, he ruined what was suppose to have been a nice day so he can just stew for the rest of the night. He left a second voice mail but I haven't checked it yet.

Queen Nefertiti is in heat and it is driving the boy cats nuts especially Lucifer. The weird thing is, it is like she doesn't realize she is in heat. She is not meowing loudly or anything, I guess it's cause she is still young. And Lucifer tries to nail her his every waking moment. We now have a cage set up with food, litterbox and water. We call it Kitty Jail and Lucifer is there more than any of them. When they all get to circling her, I put her in there for her own protection. Princess Polly is oblivious to it all but is grateful for the break from Lucifer, I'm sure... ;D

Viv- Glad to hear you had such a good day. So dinner tomorrow with your sister, that sounds nice. So did Valentine's Day with your students, I thought that was cute.

I wonder how Cindy's day was... ;) I wish she would hurry up and post. I am off to been soon....

Happy Heart Day. Did you women see the Vagina Monologes anywhere today?
« Reply #34 on: February 15, 2008, 02:49:53 AM »
Happy Heart Day Ladies. I took my mother and ex-mother in law to see the vagina monologes today at a local college and it was so great. It was put on my local college girls and supported by planned parenthood and others. Was a free show and we could give donations if we wanted and the funds were to be used for women's services etc. Was so powerful and really did get women speaking about many issues after it was over. I loved hearing my guest talking about when they first got their periods, what their moms told them etc..was just really cool.  st time in years I looked forward to a heart day and really enjoyed the day itself. Nice to be active in the community in a small way today.

Also just wanted to say I have finished my training to start doing speaking panels on hiv/aids in colleges, etc with planned parenthoods positively speaking program. I did a Minni panel Tuesday at a local college and it was so well received. I love being able to give back to the HIV/AIDS community and maybe help keep someone from getting infected or infecting someone themselves.

Well love to all of you strong and wonderful women out there. :-*

OMG I am so tired and I need to shower and get to work.  TGIF.  Valentine's blew up in our (Iceman's and mine) faces bec of something his ex did.  He was so distraught that he had cancelled our date by 10am yesterday.  After thinking about it all, I can't say I blame him.  He just didn't want to be in a funk during our evening.

So, we rescheduled dinner and everything for Sunday night, I may take Monday off.  I was sitting eating a TV dinner last night getting ready to watch Survivor, feeling like a loser down on my luck,  and he called me again, sounding better, we had talked a few times during the day and the last time we spoke I was holding back tears.

So, he calls and then my doorbell rings.  Iceman was lonely sitting at home and so was I, so he came to my rescue, he was at the door with roses, chocolates and a gift bag.  He gave me a Frog Lil'Kins and there was a little box in the bottom of the bag.  I got THE most beautiful gold and silver bracelet from him!  I was crying the entire time cause I was so happy that he came over.  Whew.

We still have dinner scheduled for Sunday as well, so I guess it all turned out OK.  Yesterday was just an emotional roller coaster for the two of us.  He just left for the gym and I need to get ready for work.  I'll do replies and post more tonight.

Happy Birthday, Viv and Happy Anniversary to BT for making it this far.  Some of us have come a very long way, baby.  :)

Queen, sorry about Kevin, just call him when shit like that happens so he doesn't "stew."  LOL  More on that later, ooh and I need to read your blog, too.

Where are Drag, Camms and NY?..........Cristy?

Morning ladies:

Queen, yes this is the last season for The Wire.  I like Snoop also.  She's still on.  The first time I saw her, I couldn't decide if it was a boy or girl.  I think it's hilarious that you're letting Kevin "stew."  Good for you.  Yes, I'm busier during the summer as well.  I think it's a lot easier to be "out and about" when it's actually warm and sunny outside than when it's freezing and grey.

Viv, sounds like you had a really nice time with your kids.  And I would love to see that blanket your sis made for you.  I wish I had the patience to do stuff like that.  Very thoughtful gift indeed.

Serenity, nice to hear from you.  And good luck on your speaking.  I used to speak quite a bit in schools, but I never had any special training.  Just mainly spoke about my experience.

Cin, I hate to say this, but I have no idea what  'Frog Lil'Kins' is.  Please explain.  Well, even though V-day wasn't what was expected for you, it sounds like Ice came through in the clutch.  Where will you be going Sunday for dinner?  I'm jealous. ;)

Oh, and Wish, you sound like such a fun person to be around.  You're always so upbeat.  I hope you had a good V-day with your man and I want details! :D

Didn't Drag mention something about going somewhere?  There are several MIA's here.  I do wonder what's going on with Cristy and Camms.

Well, this morning I was awakened by someone pounding on my door at 6:30 (a.m.).  It was my neighbor.  My car door was wide open and she told me she didn't know if someone broke into my car (actually, it wasn't locked) and asked if I wanted her to shut it.  I said 'yes' and that I would deal with it later.  I hope nothing happened.  She said she had been knocking since 5:30.  I'm not easily woke up when I'm sleeping soundly, unless it's the alarm clock.  I can't imagine why the door would be open though.

I really have nothing planned for today.  I should work on the final papers that will be due in my classes, but it's just so hard to get motivated to do it.  And I wish spring would hurry up and get here.   Take care ladies.  I'll check back in later.

I played one of my computer games til like almost 6am. I have spells like that when I really get into them. I started stirring and Nefertiti made sure I was up by 11:30am. I am surprised I don't feel tired, it'll probably hit me later and I'll need a nap. My roomie left again so I have the crib to myself...Woo Hooo.

On to Kevin....He called a few times and left messages apologizing last night. I left him stew some more. It must've gotten to him because the next thing I know, he's at my front door.... :o My roomie hadn't left yet and she's the one that spotted his car so I sent her to the door and told her to tell him I was sleep. Yeah, I know I'm bad.. ;) I will call him later. I guess when he left my house, he called my bff. She laid into him explaining that he should be more understanding when it comes to me being hearing impaired and not hearing the phone. She called me and told me that he has to work til 7 tonight but that he bought me some roses, card and some chocolate covered strawberries along with some good green. I think I can take him out of time out and he has learned his lesson. We will probably end up together tonight. I'll keep you posted.

I think someone from intake at the therapy place left me a message this morning. I plan on giving them a call after I get done here. Nothing planned til later, I'm going to just relax.

Cindy--- Glad things worked out in the end for you on Valentine's Day. Girl, I hope you keep a box of Puffs with you. You always seem to be bawling even if they are tears of joy... ;D Yes, girl, check out my blog. There was a bit o drama going on for a few in the comments. I also added a new entry today.

Betty--- I was catching on The Wire last night on HBO on Demand while playing my game. I know it took me a bit to figure out that Snoop was a girl but I like her thuggish ass. I am trying to figure out what happened with Omar. I see he is beefing with Marlo but it seems like he is on the run and came across some Spanish thugs? I think Marlo is trying to take out Prop Joe by using the Greeks unless I got that wrong. Not sure what the Greeks are going to do because it seems like they like Prop Joe but kept Marlo's money. There's a lot going on there with him. I love that show, I'm going to hate to see it end. I have to watch the prequels too. I am waiting on The Tudors to start on ShowTime on March 30. It's based on King Henry VIII. I love stuff like that. I am also waiting on the second Elizabeth movie to hit ppv which I thought it would by now or dvd even. Yep, I'm ghetto but cultured, there's all kind of facets to me, I am like a diamond in the rough, baby, yeah!!!!

I'll get with you ladies in a few ticks...

Evening ladies:

Well, I didn't do my papers for school, or even start them.  Which is o.k.  I have two weeks.  I didn't even get out to my car to see if everything was alright.  I slept for awhile and feel like going back to sleep now.  I made myself some lunch, ate then threw it all up.  It's times like this I wish I still smoked pot.  And I probably would if it didn't make me neurotic.  I might lay back down in a little bit.  Tomorrow night I have to help out at an NA function.  I don't know why I commited to that.  But I did, so whatever.

Nothing going on.  I've been freezing all day.  I think I might go get under some covers.

I got with Kevin after all but my son was trying to hang around to meet him. I wasn't ready for that just yet. I got a boxful of chocolate covered strawberries, a card, and some medicinal plant that I like so much. I am trying to refrain from talking about it because my constant chatter about it pissed someone of in my comment. I didn't know I offended anyone by talking about it. We spent a few hours together enjoying each other's company because he had to go to work at 11pm. And he is a male nurse..I swear the irony of it all is just amazing.

Nothing planned for tomorrow so I guess I will stay up tonight in go into a gaming coma...

Gosh- I've been reading up on all the trials and tribulations, happiness and successes of you girls for a while now.  My words have been touching these pages very infrequently not for a lack of interest or love but time.  My life has been a salty and sweet sensation in the last month. I don't want to reflect on the negative but the positive in this post.
I'll start from the beginning:
Third grade I met a boy who was beautiful by his smile and smarts and I did everything to make sure I was part of his 8-3 dream.  He kissed me in the coat closet, gave me a necklace in front of everyone at cafeteria time and the last day of school kissed me and ran away.  I sent letters after letters...where did I go wrong.  Nothing. He moved.  Years passed I saw him in high school for the first time.  My friend, where were you? He looked at me and I became a part of the hallway ...he just smiled and I realized I lost a friend and childhood love.
Our landscapes changed...marriage, kids, pupskies and cats..  New last names.

I had a dreadful school reunion.  I was not convinced that it was a good thing but I went.  I thought for a second about this guy, but for a second. Not knowing that my Dog Park was less than two miles from his house...just around the corner from me.

(Preface:in highschool I was madly in love with someone else so i was not pining over this guy, I let it go like a bad plan fading)

Reunion we meet up and it was so magical with him in my arms.\
....remember we barely spoke in high school.  But we connected like something I've never felt.
On the 4th date I had wavering and a war in my head thinking about disclosure.....pain pain pain
I did (since its been so long not to bore you) he broke up with me 4 times and each time was not
easy and I could have said "go f....k yourself" trust me but I knew he was for me.
I was devasted.  There are a few people here who really set me straight and I will forever be grateful.
So he talked to his sissy and after a day of research she said "if you love her don't let her go"
and then he went to my ID doctor and said" genetically, how does one become so beautiful" ok so do I jump him then or just blush like a blooming idiot.  Cheesy perhaps, love no doubt, but man I can tell you this, I am blessed.

Camms, this would be Spencer, right?  What has been going on?  I thought he was on again off again and unsure of his feelings, and the two of you were going to be "good friends" with no touchy-feely?

Set us straight, GF, its been WEEKS!  ;)

Morning all-

Queen, what do you mean 'your constant chatter pissed someone off?'  You mean talking about pot?  Why would that piss someone off I wonder.  Unless they're jealous.

Camms, it's good to hear from you.  Good luck with Spencer.  I hope he stays with you this time.  You definitely have more patience than I do.  I hope he makes you happy; you definitely deserve it.

I sweat a lot last night.  So I'm hoping that's a sign that the new medicine (Kaletra) is starting to kick some virus ass and my body is just adjusting.  I had a bad day yesterday, physical-wise.  I had the runs and threw up in the afternoon.  I really haven't been around anyone to catch a bug, so I'm assuming it's the Kaletra.  I get bloodwork done in a month to see how it's working.  For the record, I'm on 2 Kaletra 2 x a day, and Trizivir 1 2 x a day.  I've never had any reaction to the Trizivir.  Of course, I could have caught a bug in passing in the supermarket also.  We'll see.

This evening I'm going to an NA dinner/speaker.  I was volunteered to help out.  My bff is going to also, so I'm going to catch a ride with her.  I will probably also see if there was any damage done to my car.  I should start locking it up, but with the cold weather, I worry about the lock freezing.  I can't imagine why my door would have been open.  Thank God my neighbor was watching out.  Ok ladies, I'll check back later-

What the hell am I doing up this early, you say? It got hot as Hades in my room which is a switch, it's usually more like Alaska and then Queen Nerfetiti wanted to zip around the room and knock things over. She's now doing a bid in Kitty Jail.... :D Not to worry, it has food and water in it as well as a mini-litterbox so she's not suffering any. So, then I am breezing through the cable channels and what do I find on? Friday, the 13th at 8am, what the hell? What is wrong with this picture? How do you put a horror flick on in the freaking morning? And guess what channel? Done guessing? Only on Bravo...How can you take a horror flick serious when it's on in the morning? ::)

Yep, Betty, I pissed someone off in my blog because I always talk about the green. And the person referred to my nick as The Queen of Green. They were offended because since I receive disability which comes from hard working Americans, I shouldn't flaunt(their word) my use of the green herb. Now I can say I have heard it all. You would think I was right in their face smoking, sheesh. I didn't feel like arguing about something so trivial so I let them have their way and said I wouldn't mention it anymore in my blog. But I didn't say I wouldn't mention it in the forums... ;D

My roomie is about to leave again to do some renovations to someone's house. She's been at it all week which leaves me the crib to myself. I will more than likely crash and burn a little later this morning. And won't have to worry about being disturbed. Not sure if I am going to have any plans with Kevin today. I was pigging out on the chocolate covered strawberries....I don't even want to check my sugar about now.. :D But I couldn't eat just one, they were too good..Yum!!!

Hi GFs~

BT, have you considered taking an Imodium each morning to help with the runs?  I did that back in the day when I was on Fortovase.  You could be right though, since you're vomiting it may be something else.  Drink plenty of water.  I'm leery of going to the grocery because the flu bug is getting really bad around here.  I haven't been to the store since January for a "big list" since I have started my new job.  I've had plenty for breakfast and dinner at home, I was always shopping for lunch items.  Don't need to get those anymore thanks to my new boss.  :D  I may dash into Target today for a few things.

Camms, good to see you, I hope Spencer doesn't let you down.  I have been with guys before that are just wildly attracted to you and then disclosure messes with their heads.  I know you had a rough time after the initial disclosure, but I hope its going well now.  Have you moved past the hand-holding stage?  ;)  You know we want details!  What have you been up to all of this time?  I read that you attended a funeral?  Are you OK?  How is work?  Weren't they making cuts?

Queen, nice to read that Kevin did some special things for you for Valentine's Day.  How are things really going with him?  Is he being more understanding of your hearing impairment?  I know you don't want to have to kick his ass!  :D  Also, I read your blogs, I wouldn't take it too personally with what those posters said, because they don't know you.  Like you said, they can read elsewhere if need be.  Also, where did you get the idea that therapists get paid lots of money?  :D  They are the most UNDERPAID profession in the world, because most have a "LCSW" title, which is a social worker.  The ones that make the big bucks are the ones with the PhD or M.D. who can write the prescriptions.  I went to see an LCSW for about seven years and really enjoyed our time together.  I haven't been to see him since Oct. 2004 when Doofus and I started planning for the log home.

Meanwhile, my new case manager kept trying to get me to go see their HIV therapist last fall, and I always declined.  Its nice to know that if something monumental were to come along, I have resources.  I'm doing pretty well for the most part.

Iceman hasn't called, he went to get his girls last night and usually calls after they go to bed.  Nothing.  :(  Its OK, but I just miss him, I get so excited every time he calls, and we usually have no time to talk between his job and mine.  I was so relieved when he came by unannounced on Valentine's night.  I was really in a funk.  He brought me roses, a box of Russell Stovers which is almost gone :D, a Frog Lil'Kins/Webkins which is like a Beanie Baby/stuffed animal (there ya go, BT), and my bracelet.  We'll be doing dinner at a cozy, romantic restaurant on Sunday night, too.  Damn I miss him this morning.

Oh, he just called.....   :)

Queen, you posted while I did.  One of the girls at work brought chocolate-covered strawberries in yest that her sister had made.  Yes, she was nice and shared with the accounting dept!   :P

Wow, I couldn't believe it when I saw your post on here Queen.  I thought, just like you said "what the fuck is she doing up at this time?"  I've never had chocolate covered strawberries, but they sound delicious.  I read the comments in your blog.  It's really no one's business what you do with your money.  But, you need to do what's right for you.  If not talking about it in your blog you think will keep down the negativity, then you have to do what you want.  It pissed me off when I read those comments.  I hate it when people try to be butt-inskys in a bad way.

Cin, you're up early also.  I might have had a bug, not sure.  I ate breakfast this morning and so far so good.  I'm craving salt, so I might eat some pretzels in a bit.

It's actually sunny here today.  That makes me happy.  It's always a little easier to deal with things (life) when it's not grey all the time.  I talked to my NA sponsor today.  She's the one I'm going to be helping tonight at the NA function.  It's a dinner/speaker/dance.  Apparently there's been some mismanagement of the funds that were allocated for this event.  So my sponsor took over.  I hate it when people steal money from 12-step groups.  My ex did that years ago, but got called on the carpet and paid it all back, which was $200.  I know it's easy to do, but to me, that's just old behavior.  And you girls know how I feel about karma.  Anyway, have a good morning ladies-

Betty---

After I smoked some of the good green about an hour or so later I went back to sleep. And I am back to talking about weed, glorious weed because someone else posted in my blog and supported me. This person had a valid point too, yeah, Americans pay for some to be on disability but if the person who is on disability has worked as well then it is their hard earned money too. And even though I may be ghetto, I have always held down a job up until the time I got on disability. So, I have earned my right to talk or flaunt my smoking weed. I guess I was just trying to make the other person happy and keep the drama to a minimum. I don't want my blog to be like an episode of Jerry Springer. I am just surprised that folks read my blog. I have read the other blogs and they seem to have more stuff to talk about that I thought people would be more interested in, I guess. When I write in my blog, I speak from the heart and not about political things. More along the lines of things that are affecting me or happening in my hood.

I hope you will feel better. Are you sure you're up to doing this function tonight? I would think the sponsor would understand if you told them you are sick.

Cindy---

Last night was nice with Kevin. He wanted me to spend the night at his place even though he was going to work. I declined because we don't know each other that well for me to be staying the night, though I appreciate him trusting me. And I didn't want to miss taking my meds. I am a litle irked about something though with him. I guess more so because he is a nurse. Let's just say things got a bit hot and heavy last night. We were down to our birthday suits and this man was trying to do the deed... :o And without the mention of a condom. Not to worry, it wasn't happening even if he did produce one, it was too soon for that even though we were naked. But it did cause me to get up and get dressed. I mean I expect that kind of behavior from someone like Rico but because Kevin is a nurse, I expected him to be more cautious, I guess the word is that I am looking for. This is what I meant in my blog by the other person being responsible but folks still want to blast me for not disclosing. I guess I thought it would be easier to disclose to him when the time comes but not I have to wonder.

I dunno about therapist and their salaries. I guess I just assumed they got paid more and not like social workers. I am hearing about folks having a therapist at their ASO and I am wondering why mine doesn't have one? I guess it's just not in the funding.

I got a taste for meatloaf so I might just cook one today. I have the hamburger thawing out if not then it will be burgers... ;D

The only man who ever had condoms on hand was a poz guy I dated once.

The rest never have.

Hey ladies-

Just got home a little while ago.

Queen, gotta hand it to ya.  I don't know if I could have stopped if I was with a guy and we were naked and doing the hot-and-heavy.  I've always thought disclosure is strictly a personal decision.  I don't blast anyone for not doing it.  And you're right about the disability thing.  You paid taxes for it.  You should be able to do with your money what you want.  You don't have to answer to anyone.

The NA function was actually pretty good.  The speaker was from Gary, IN.  Queen, you think you're ghetto. ;)  It was good though and I could relate on a lot of things he was talking about.  The nose itching when doing heroin etc.  The withdrawals, the nightmare of being in active addiction and finally coming out of the shadows.  I have got to learn some of the newer dances.  I know how to do the 'electric slide' but ladies, it's been years.  And when I did it before, of course I wasn't an old fogee.  The dances they were doing were all of course more modern ones and I love to watch them.  You all know, I was a stripper when I was 17, so yes, this white girl can carry a beat.  Anyway, I'm going to check out a few more threads and crash.  Have a good one all-

BT~  You crack me up!  I was a Pom Pom for 4 years and I got rythym, too!  Did you do the "Cha Cha Slide" lol?  Speaking of stripping, a friend of the family called my mother to let us know what her BF gave her for Valentine's Day.  The friend is my age, and her BF got her a racy outfit and a stripper's pole, lol!  My Mom told the friend to put her BF on the phone, and then Mom asked him "Where's mine?"  She is nuts.  LMAO

Queen~  My Mom baked my Dad a meatloaf in the shape of a heart for Valentine's Day.  I gave Iceman a bag full of heart-shaped brownies and chocolates!

Tomorrow is the big romantic dinner.  I am excited!  Iceman and I haven't gone out in awhile, and certainly not to somewhere extra-nice, not since our first date.  He said he is staying over, too.  Yippee!  I got a cute lil black number to wear today at the store, for tomorrow.  He kept saying he wanted me in black, so I looked and looked, and what do you know?  I finally found something.  I checked VS a few weeks ago, I still have a gift card to use there from Christmas.  They don't have shit in the store near me.  Everything is made out of cotton, is mesh and see-through all over (NOT good with a lipo belly), looks like its for a sorority house,  or is just not me.  I need to go to a bigger store at a different mall and get something.  :D

I was channel surfing this weekend and saw Flav's show.  Did you all get a load of "Peachee" from the internet vote?  OMG, puh-lease!  I still have to figure out who fried chicken girl is from Mississippi.  I didn't watch for more than a moment, and there are twins on there?  Good grief, I think Flav looks like he got hit by a bus.  LOL

I am happy because I activated my Sirius Radio again.  Doofus was paying for it for two years, and on January 9th it just went *poof* while I was driving.  The subscription ended and I'm sure he didn't renew for me.  So, I got online tonight, re-registered everything in my name, ran out to the Jeep in my PJs and badda-bing!

I have Heavy Metal Hair Nation in the Jeep for my commutes now.  Ahhhhhhh.......So MANY good songs.  BT, you would love it.  You can actually do a free 3-day trial online.  Just go to Sirius.com next Friday or whenever you know you'll be home for three days so you can listen to your heart's content.  Its so cool!  All 80s stuff!  :D

Sun~  I hope you're OK tonight, I'm thinking about you.  I have faith that you'll be kicking your heels up again in no time!

Is anyone going to the AMG in Mexico City August 7 - 12?  I am considering it, but I'm really not sure.  The elevation there is 7500 feet above sea level!  Denver is only 5000 feet.  I'm thinking the altitude may very well kick my ass.....Airfare is going to be close to $600 from Maryland and the hotel will be $50/night.  We're looking at prob $1200 for the trip, and I HATE flying.  I've only flown alone once before in my life to Chicago..... I'll have to mull this one over.

I mentioned AMG to Iceman and told him I may want to go, and he piped up and said he and I could go somewhere....... Such a sweet man.   :-*   I'm gonna rock his world tomorrow night, lol.   :P

Believe me when I say, I've done many things with the pole before.  Of course, it was very inconvenient when a pastey would fall off.

I won't be going to AMG.  I don't have near the money, and I really wouldn't want to travel there alone.  It would probably be a blast though.

I've already asked Timtation if I can meet him in Atlanta for my connecting flight.  I don't like flying alone either.  I went to Cancun 2x, but with friends.....This is a different airport.   :o

I wish I could go to AMG but like Betty, I can't afford it even if I saved now. Someone had asked me earlier if I was going to go. It would've been nice to get away from the hood for a few days. The last time I was on a plane was when I went to Puerto Rico some years back. I am scared of heights but didn't mind the plane ride at all.

I remember doing the electric slide back in the day, there was like 50 different versions and I use to know all of them. I always liked to Cha- Cha and Salsa dance. Sometimes I do when I am alone.. :D I didn't even get around to cooking anything today. I have just been snacking. Tomorrow is laundry day, I am dreading it but it must be done. I don't mind doing laundry, I just hate doing it at the laundry mat.

On to Flavor of Love, wasn't Peachee the one with the serious underbite? Cindy, you should've kept watching it, Flav was talking shit. The internet viewers picked 5 ladies for him on 4 of them he sent home. He said the fans must hate him, it was funny as hell. This week's episode, the hood rats are suppose to be fighting. This should be interesting. What people won't do for 15 minutes of fame. I'd rather be a WWE Diva.. ;)

Betty, you mean there is someone more ghetto than me? I thought I owned the rights... ;D LOL@pastey falling off. My roomie use to be a stripper too back in the day. I wouldn't mind being one if I had the body for it. But I have a tummy and stretch marks. I have actually seen strippers with stretch marks and it wasn't pretty. Strippers make some decent money or so I have been told.

I didn't do much tonight. I watched Night at the Museum which I thought was funny as hell. I have to get the dvd. No call from Kevin but he is prolly working so I am not stressing it. Betty, it was a test to be naked and not do anything that's for sure. I am trying my hardest to be as responsible as I can since I have not disclosed to him and this time around I am not rushing the physical or sex. If I can go almost 3 years w/o sex, I can hang on til I choose to disclose. And there are ways for me to be satisfied... ;) And he is quite good at it, I might add. ;) ;) I am really trying to do it right this time and give him a choice. I am terrified of being rejected and really not sure how I will deal with it. I might spiral back into depression but I have a game plan. I want to get in with a therapist and have the chance to talk about my issues with trust and disclosure. So, if I do get rejected by Kevin when I choose to disclose, I will be better equipped to handle it and not go off the deep end like I did the last time.

It's almost 4 am......Sleepy time.....Nighty Night....

Morning ladies:

It's pretty warm outside, but raining.  I was going to do laundry today, but I don't want to have to haul clothes around in the rain.

Yes Queen, I would say the guy that spoke at the NA function last night was even more ghetto than you, my Majesty. :D  He's 65 and has had a hell of a life.  Plus, he was from Gary, and you guys have probably read about that city.  Gary, IN is only about an hour from me.  When I used to go to Chicago I'd travel through there.  All I remember is that it stunk pretty bad from the sewage I believe and the steel plants.  My sponsor is from Gary also.   Yes, strippers do make good money.  As long as one knows how to hustle.  But that doesn't take long to catch on to.   Oh, there'd be no way I could dance now, with my body being what it is.  But when I was 17 I had quite a nice bod.  All the strippers I worked with were strung out, including me.  I remember the owner of the bar (who's in prison now) telling me one time "you want to earn some real money, stick around after the bar closes."  Well, that was when all the judges, city officials etc. would come in.  They came in at that time because of course, they didn't want anyone to see them in such a dive.  The only strippers that stayed after the bar closed were me and the owner's wife.  I'm sure he chose me because I was the youngest one who worked there, and I had fewer battle scars than the other dancers, making me more attractive.  The owner (Junior Ford) was a real prick.  We could always take 'draws' on our cash.  That would involve going downstairs, walking down this long dark hall and going into Junior's office to ask him for money.  He would always be sitting at his desk, counting all his money, with a gun next to his counting hand.  He finally got put away for prostitution and drug running.  Like no one knew it was going on the whole time the bar had been opened; give me a break.  There were cops that would come in there a couple times a night, and they would just turn their heads in exchange for one of us doing them a 'favor.'  Damn pigs.   That was in '83 and the song I would love to dance to then was 'Electric Avenue.'  Haven't heard that song in years!  The money I made at that time went mostly for heroin.  Thank God those days are over.

Cin, I hope you get to go to AMG.  It sounds like you've checked it out.  I've never been to Mexico.  The last time I was in an airplane was when I was 16 and flew to Phoenix.  I liked flying.  I don't know if I would now, because I have a very queesy stomach, and while it's not bad once you're in the air, the take-offs and landings are something else.  Right now, I couldn't afford to fly anywhere.  Hell, I can't even afford to take the city bus. :D

Well, I'm not sure what I'll get accomplished today.  Maybe some research for my papers, maybe nothing.  The papers aren't due for two more weeks anyway.  I just hate waiting until the last minute.  I won't be going to classes this summer, and I'm ready for the break.  I've been going to school for a year and a half straight through, and I'm really burned out.  Have a good one ladies-

Hey Ladies----

We were suppose to be doing laundry at 1 but my roomie is still sleep. I don't believe in waking people up because I don't like to be and become a bitch if someone does wake me up. Plus, she's needs to sleep in, she's been renovating a house all week. Tearing out tiles, toilets and stuff. She's still not done, she has to go back tomorrow. The last load for laundry I think is at 9 pm anyway and by then usually no one is there. I hate to be in a packed laundry mat. Last time we were there someone's kid tried to steal our fabric softner. I hate when people's kids has no home training!!!

Nothing else going on today. Sunday is usually my day to lay back. I'll probably blog a bit later on. Play my games for a few, I'll check back in later..

Hello Ladies,
I'm Cheetara74 (aka Colette)...33 yr old female from New Jersey.  I've been reading the posts in this thread.  Ladies, I've enjoyed reading them.  Some of you ladies crack me up!  LOL   I'm glad there is a forum where women can talk about real shit... real issues.   I'm married (have been since 1998) but legally seperated (since 2001).   We haven't divorced yet because he wants me to keep his healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision, etc...).  He is poz too... so he understands the importance of having healthcare coverage.   I've been poz since 1995 and was diagnosed after I served in the Army.  I don't have any children.  I've been thinking about dating again but I haven't made any attempts to "date".   I'm currently on disability due to health complications and several hospitalizations.  Before disability, I worked full-time for an advertising agency which specialized in pharmaceutical marketing.  Since my departure, I heard the agency dissolved within a year.  Anyway, switching to disability from a regular salary wasn't easy at all.  Talk about making some adjustments...LOL  Thankfully, my husband provides spousal support but I am so used to earning my own money...it's hard to swallow.   I'm a recovery alcoholic/addict.   Hard liquor and cocaine were my drugs of choice.   I had a DWI in 2003 and totaled my car in 2006 plus totaled 1 other vehicle...  I should of had another DWI and hauled off to jail but one of the cops that came on the scene...was a guy I used to date back in high school before I became poz.  He risked his career to cover for me.  Yesterday, I celebrated a year being clean and sober.  Also, I battle depression/schizophrenia with medication and professional help.  I live one day at a time...

My most recent CD4:  207
Viral load:  14,000 copies

Meds:   Norvir, Truvada, and Prezista

That's me in a nutshell...  lol    :)

Hi GFs~

Welcome to the Forums, Cheetara, I've seen you here a few times before, I believe.  If you'd like to read more on our histories, there is a great thread that was started last year.  I think most of us put our stories in there.  Its called "By Way Of Introduction" in the Positive Women's section.  http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=11765.0
Congrats on your one year anniversary of being clean and sober.  A lot of women in these threads can relate to your story as well, not just the HIV, so you've found a good place to be.  Now have you read ALL of the threads from last summer up until now?  LOL  It takes forever!  I swear I am going to write a book.....  :D

One thing I remembered about AMG is that there is money that can be given out to help people get there, if they want to go.  Maybe its grants or donations from other Forum members, but there IS a way.  Some of you should check into it.  Mexico is by far THE cheapest place to travel to.....I don't know what I'll do, all of my expenses would have to go on a credit card, but I do have a tax return and the "economic stimulus package" check coming my way later this summer.  The main thing is being scared of traveling alone.

Its fun reading about you GFs, Queen and BT, workin' the pole or sliding, lol.  BT losing a pasty, omg!  Yep, you sweat and OFF they go!   :P  I should boogie down and have Iceman video tape me, and Cheech, too.  Wouldn't that be a riot for you girls to see?  I could put a link on youtube, lmao!   ;D  Don't worry, Queen, I dance like a fool when no one's watching, sometimes even when they ARE watching.  Cheech must think I'm nuts, but he DOES like to join in, lol.  He'll put his front paws up and we'll dance, hee hee.

Win, your pic is stunning, pretty girl you are!   :)

Where are Cristy, Sun, Camms, Drag, confused........?  And NY, check in and tell us how that little one is doing!  :)

I cleaned, I mean REALLY cleaned the floors in my house today.  Vacuumed, mopped, washed some walls, too.  I am going to chill and then get ready for the big dinner.  I hope my jeans aren't too tight tonight.  I plan on eating a good dinner!  LOL   :D

Hey Cheetara, welcome.  I know I've seen you post before, just can't remember exactly about what.

I've been around recovery since 1989.  That time I was clean for seven years. This time around I have 2 years clean.  Congratulations on your one year!  That's truly a milestone.  Please keep checking in with us.  We love to hear from our ladies! ;D   I think that's great that your husband wants to cover you with his health insurance.  But if you're on disability, don't you get your own Medicare?  Of course, that's none of my business.  You just take care of yourself, girl.

Oh, I got a pm from Cristy the other day.  She's just not felt much like posting.  Wishful has been a little sporadic also (girl, are you listening).  Now, didn't Drag say she was going on a trip or something awhile back?  It seems like she said something like that.

Cin, I hope you have a great dinner.  Eat something good for me! :D

Queen, don't forget, The Wire is on tonight.  Have you caught up on it?  If you haven't, you'll be surprised about something involving Prop Joe.  I won't give it away.  I'm really gonna miss it when it goes off.  HBO has had some good series on.  I wonder if they're going to have anymore.  I watched Entourage also.

Oh, btw, it wasn't sweat that caused the pastey to fall off.  It was some kind of cheap glue.  After awhile, the bar went topless.  But that happened after I quit working there.  OK, just checking in real quick.  I'll check in later-

Glad to hear that Cristy hasn't fallen off the face of the earth.  Iceman watches The Wire also, he'll be recording it tonight.  ;)  I don't think its actually filmed in Baltimore, but I'll ask him.  He was born and raised in Baltimore.

I am going to have filet mignon tonight, most definitely!  I bet Iceman is going to order the salmon, I'll let you know!  LOL

He just called a short while ago for the first time today, and then his youngest was crying upstairs.  Seems she may be coming down with the chicken pox.  I remember having the chicken pox when I was 13, the summer after 8th grade, so I didn't miss any school.  I got them from my BF at the time.   ;)

Wouldn't you know Cheech tracked in mud onto the LR carpet after I vacuumed today.  I have locked the doggie door for now.  Sigh.  He's snoring in the hallway, happy dude, that dog is.

Hey Cheetara...Welcome to the Forums and the dating thread,gf. You should fit in with the rest of us. Not that there is a requirement but a lot of us can relate, that's for sure. I went to meetings for a few back in the day to stop using crack and it helped. I guess many would still consider me an addict because of my weed use but I don't. I didn't go to meetings for that and now I smoke strictly to keep myself eating because this virus has stripped away my appetite. Congratulations on a year clean, that is an accomplishment.

Betty--- Girl, I have caught up on The Wire. I can't believe that Marlo had Prop Joe killed, that was messed up, I liked him. I think I know what you are talking about in regards to what Prop Joe did but not really sure what he did. Do you know what episode that was? Maybe I can see it again. I know Marlo went to some attorney but it looked like the attorney is setting Marlo up or something. I think Omar is going to take Marlo out. I am kind of sad because that means he will prolly end up killing Snoop. Yeah, HBO has had some good shows on, I still watch Rome since it is on HBO on Demand. I have watched Oz countless times and even the Sopranos though I was pissed about the ending.

Cindy-- I was never a stripper. I should've been one back in the day when I had the body for it. I give ladies mad props for doing it though. It's just messed up the rep that strippers get. I am sure there were some doing it to survive and possibly put themselves through school. That doesn't sound far fetched to me though there has been plenty of jokes.

Girl, being a DJ locally back in the day, all I use to do was dance. Fast dancing was my thing and my brother use to be one of my dance partners. I remember one time we were fast dancing and he grabbed a chair, sat down while I continued to dance around him. He was always a bit of a show off... :D Then there was this one bar I use to DJ at with another guy, he was always my Cha Cha partner. Those were the good old days when you could go out and still have fun. The dances the younger generation does now is simply one step away from having sex. And some of those dances would have me hurting myself.. ;D

Even with donations to go to AMG, I would still need a bit of money for hotel, food, and other stuff. I hate traveling anywhere broke. You know I would be trying to find some of the Mexican herb while there.. ;) I know I couldn't bring any back with me but to say I actually tried some and knowing it is way better than the green here. It would be bliss along with some tequila and Coronas... ;)

My roomie has finally arisen from slumber but now I really don't feel like doing any laundry. There is always tomorrow, maybe I can get it done while she is off working on the renovations to the house she is working on. And since it is President's Day nothing will be open that I need to make calls to. I don't know...

Have fun at dinner, Cindy. Steak sounds good especially medium rare. I could go for some shrimp too. I'll check back in a few ticks...

It feels good to be clean and sober for an entire year...  My psychiatrist prescribed me Revia to control any urges I may get.  So far, it has been helping me along with attending meetings.  Congratulations on your clean time ladies. :)

Yes, I have more reading to do... :)

Hey ladies-

It seems like I have been on the computer forever.  Just had to look something up for school and print it out.  It took all but two sheets of my remaining printer paper (it was 14 pages long).

Queen, I was referring to Prop Joe being killed. I didn't know if you had gotten that far yet.  That was messed up.  I think Omar will probably kill Marlo also.  Something is going to happen-I can feel it.  And what do you think of that cop who's lying about all those dead homeless people?  He's an asshole anyway, and I for one hope he gets what he deserves.  I've never watched Rome.  I absolutely loved Oz!  One of the detectives on Law & Order SVU is on there, and in one episode I saw a long time ago it showed him in full frontal nudity!  Did you see that?

Cheetara, you are more than welcome.  Do they have NA meetings where you're at for HIV+ people?  That might be something good to check out.  They don't have any here, but I have been to conventions where they had workshops about it, which were really good.  I heard a fantastic speaker at one who was HIV+.  That was like 13 years ago, though, and things were a lot different then.  I don't take anything to control urges, and I really don't get any anymore.  But, hey, whatever works.  Meetings are a definite though.

And Queen, I don't consider you an addict.  Like I said before, if pot didn't make me neurotic, I would still smoke it so I could eat better than what I do.

I'm aware that they provide funds for people to get to AMG.  But, like Queen, I wouldn't have any money to take for food, souveniers etc.  If I were to ever get to Mexico, I would definitely want a lot of money to indulge in some authentic Mexican food at least.  And I think also it now can take up to 9 months to get a passport.  Maybe some year.

Yes, medium rare is the only way to have steak.  That sounds so good. Cin, if you bring any home, would you please hotwire it to me? ;)  Unfortunately I'm probably going to have to try to get down an egg-salad sandwich.  I do like egg salad, but steak sounds so much more appetizing.  I haven't had a good steak in an age.  I'm going to have to try get my gay bff to take me out to eat at Outback soon.  Having as they say, a champagne appetite on a beer budget sucks. Oh well, I know I have things to be thankful for, so I won't bitch too much.  Have a good one ladies.

Win, your pic is stunning, pretty girl you are!   :)

Thank you. I took that last night after my post Valentine date with Billy. I was feeling pretty good and had some fun with the camera.
Billy and I went to Steak n Ale. We chose not to go out on Valentines day proper because I hate crowds. The restaurant was kinda crowded but we where seated in less than 10 minutes. Not so bad. The waitress said it was twice as bad on V-day.

Thought ya'll might get a kick out of one of my more funny photos. The look on my face was too funny.

Hello everyone! Welcome Cheetara! Glad to have you here. These ladies are great...they make me feel normal. Well saw he ex again and the saga continues...UGHHH! Time for a change.

Did not do much today. I have a load of stuff to grade and report cards to get ready but I don't really want to...can anyone say PROCRASTINATION? That is one of the things I have the most about teaching, besides the politics of it all. Just give me a classroom, kids, and a curriculum... :)

Tata for now!

Oh! Anyone watching Celebrity Rehab? I am hooked. They all seem so vulnerable. I hope I am not being offensive to anyone who has actually been in rehab.

Hello ladies.    Viv, I don't think that comment was offensive, people are vulnerable when they are in rehab, it is very hard.                           Welcome Colette. The forums are a great place and the people here are wonderful.                                                                                    Betty, I was a stripper for 6 years and it is all about hustling.  I tricked out of the bar sometimes. Usually when the price got over $300. Never wore pasties, so no worry there. You would have only had to wear them until you turned 18, or was it mandatory in your state.   Couldn't now but wouldn't really want to anymore. I get enough of being looked at like meat lately, with my clothes on.  But the money was very good.                                                             Hope everyone is well.                   I finally got some good green and am happily stoned most of the time.   I am off work today and will be going to Walmart to get my meds. I kinda want to dye my hair but don't want to have to keep doing it so probably not. Maybe a washout dye will make me happy. Time to get going.   Take care everyone and will try to post again soon. Morning ladies:Cristy, at the time I was dancing, it was a law that everyone had to wear pasties.  The strip bars in my town were all shut down.  I find that funny, considering all the porn stores (Pleasurelands) are still open.  Of course, the glory holes have all been covered, but please.  The places aren't classy at all.  I was just talking to another forum member over the weekend who told me that where he lives, they closed all the porn shops, but the strip clubs are still open.  I think the moral right is hilarious with what they try to get accomplished.  Oh, I couldn't strip anymore either, trust.  It's been 25 years and lots of body changes.   Oh, btw, I bleach my hair every month.  I go to a beauty supply store to get the real stuff.  It really doesn't take too long.  Yes, try a wash out color.  It can be fun to have different colored hair.  I did dye my hair jet-black at one time.  But my skin is too pale to have it that color.
Viv, I procrastinate all the time.  I'm doing it today as well.  I need to get some laundry done, but I don't want to go to the laundermat.  It's so cold, I hate to go anywhere and usually wait until I'm forced to do something.  I saw Celebrity Rehab once and I thought it was funny how some guy who was in a wheelchair was throwing a fit because he couldn't have his cell phone.  Puhleeze.  And if I remember right, they had a swimming pool.  The last rehab I was in, no one could have a cell phone; there were two phones in the hall that had a 10 minute time limit on them.  The only time we got to go outside was for timed cigarette breaks.

OK Queen, where are you girl?  Did you watch 'The Wire' last night?  And Cin, I'm waiting to hear about your date with Ice!  Do you have any leftover steak? ;)

Wendy, that is a good picture of you.  We have a Steak and Ale place here also.  I'm like you-I hate being in a crowded restaurant.

Well ladies, I'm off to check out a few more threads.  The sun's in and out, but I don't think it's supposed to be out much.  I need to get some printer paper today and some cigarettes.  I really have nothing exciting to report this morning.  I'll check in a bit later-

Morning Ladies----

I don't know what was going on with me yesterday, all I did was sleep. I wasn't ill or anything, not even really tired but I just slept off and on til I woke up about 10 minutes ago. Betty, I did get to watch The Wire last night. It's funny how McNulty lying seems to have helped everyone out except the politicians. I kind of like what he did and hope he doesn't get busted for it.

Well, now my ears are clogged which is just great. My hearing aids seem to cause a lot of wax build up in my ears. I have tried using the ear irrigation products but none of those seem to help. I think my left ear is draining. I need to go back to the ENT but I'll worry about that later.

I wonder how Cindy's date went too, I guess she'll fill us in later.Nothing special going on today. I'll chat later..

Yes, Queen, the McNulty story is amusing.  I just have this feeling he'll get caught.  And probably take a few down with him.  And I wonder how long it will be before Omar gets to Marlo.  I can't believe he (Omar) jumped out of that window that was several stories up and just got a hurt leg out of it.  I'll definitely miss this series when it goes off.

Well, I'm making lunch.  I'll check back in later.

Goddess, I am in a mood. I just got off the phone with my gas company. I am on a so called budget plan which has me paying out $253 a month. Now this is not what I am using in gas but what the previous tenant used. For months they have been giving me an estimated gas bill til Jan. 30. Then I get a letter that says they have tacked on $202 more dollars to my bill. Just freaking great. Now I got a bit of funding from LIHEAP which covered my budget plan for this month but I told the lady, there is no way I can cover next month's bill and asked her what can I do. She suggested another program called LIRA but to be able to get on that program, you have to have your bill paid in full. I have a remaining balance of $381. Now if I can't cover the $253, how in the hell would I be able to pay $381!!!! And in order for me to get weatherization, the whole apartment building would have to be done and not just my apartment. I asked the woman, what could I do? She says well don't pay the bill and get a termination notice...What? I can't afford for my gas to be shut off and I told her this due to medical problems. She says if it gets shut off that Crisis(another program) would cover the cost. Ok, I know about Crisis but those people are swamped every year which means I would be w/o gas for prolly a month or so before they could even help. Now mind you, my bill didn't fall behind for skipping payments but due to the price of gas and a poorly insulated apartment. This truly sucks. Now what am I suppose to do??? I guess freeze to death in my apartment..... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Oh dear, Queen.  Is there no other social service that could help you?  How the hell do they expect someone to pay such a high gas bill?  If it were me, I would definitely think of moving.  But of course, that's easier said than done.  I truly hope there's a way that can provide you some help.  Please keep us updated! Queen...I don't even know what to tell you. Is the gas bill so high because of where you live? Is the gas for the heat only or both cooking and heat?

I have gone through all the social services that my quaint little town has to offer. I have one option but not sure if it will work. I have to get in contact with my doctor and see if he can send paperwork to the gas company. Not guaranteed he will do it but if he does, it will buy me 30 days, I think. If not then I have to wait on the termination notice and pray crisis will help me. I still plan on moving just waiting for winter to be over and the section 8 office. Until then, I am damned if I do and damned if I don't.

The gas is for heat and cooking but the thing is, we don't even cook that much. The heat usually stays on 70. I have talked to my landlord about this and basically he wants the weatherization program to do the work for him but there is a list for that program.

Queen~  I know the last thing you want to do is pay for winterization on your own, but....I have heard that the plastic covers (looks like clear Saran Wrap) that go over your windows really do a good job of keeping out drafts.  You could check WalMart or Home Depot to see about pricing.  Who knows, it may really make a difference.  Has anyone here tried these over their windows before?  You cut them to size and seal them with heat from a hairdryer.

Iceman and I had a very nice date.  He got a prime rib which was as big as his foot, and he wears an 11-1/2!  ;)  LOL  He couldn't finish it, so we brought it back to my place.  I knew he would forget to take it this morning, so let's just say that Cheech is a very lucky doggie!  :D

Iceman was SO anxious to get through dinner and get back to my place!  It was kinda cute.  I made him repair my brake light on the passenger's side which had blown out last week, I knew that it would happen sometime.  Iceman and I had a very romantic evening, but next thing I know its 2am and I still haven't fallen asleep.  It got very mild here last night and I was hot and restless.  Cheech and Iceman were double-teaming me with "Dueling Snores" and I even had earplugs in.  I was so pissed that I finally sat up in bed around 3am, wondering how I would get to work today on no sleep.  Iceman was really sweet and I kept apologizing for waking him up.  He asked if he had been snoring.....   ::)  Iceman went downstairs and barricaded Cheech down there so he couldn't come upstairs and snore, lol.  I slept from about 4am - 5am.  Then the alarm went off and I slept another hour.  I did good at work today, didn't crash and burn.  Amazing.

A few people are getting sick with headaches and upset tummies at the office.  I have been popping Advil and eating bland food.  Well, except for my Girl Scout cookies.

Just for the record, I was NEVER a stripper!   :o  LMAO

I've used those coverings.  They're called visqueen (sp?).  They work quite good.  Wal-Mart would probably have the best prices.

Hi Everyone,
Hope everyone is doing well!  I picked up the bug my son(his urine test came back OK) had and have been feeling like crap for the last week.  It didn't help that with last weeks rain our basement got flooded and I had to be out in knee deep water trying to get the water to go away from our house. I missed the appt. with the therapist and for the peer support group but hopefully I should be able to go this week.  I am going Wed for my numbers.
Winiroo- I love your new pic!  You look great!
Queen- I keep meaning to tell you on www.myphotobucket.com that you can upload your digital pictures to share with other people and it has a thing to make your own avatar, I haven't tried it but I thought I would let you know it was there.  I feel you on the gas bill.  We have electric heat and in the winter months my bill is at least $400/mo and we don't even keep the heat on in our room downstairs.  Does your ASO have any money?  When I went and met my case manager he told me that the ASO around here had done a fundraiser and was actually giving out money again because they got more than they thought they would.  Sounds like the perfect thing to have your case manager look into for you.
Cheetara- Welcome and Congrats on your anniversary!
Betty-  I'm gonna have to say Anthony Hamilton for the famous person I would sleep with, I love his voice and I think my SO looks like him :)  I love the Wire too.  I found out a couple weeks ago I can watch next weeks episode a week ahead on On Demand.  I can't believe McNulty, I love the scene where he was screwing the women outside on the car and just holds up his badge to the cops driving by and keeps on going.  The man definately has some balls.:)
Hope everyone is doing well.
Take care, Snow

Hi Snow~  So sorry to hear about the mess with your basement and all of that water.  I can't imagine having to deal with something like that.  More power to you!

Forgot to add, that YES, "The Wire" IS filmed in Baltimore.  Iceman used to drive on some of those streets back in the day.

Hi Girls

I have thought of a title for our next thread.  Leapin Lizards, It's A Leap Year, So Take The Leap And Get A Date.   Now not sure if its to long and I was not sure what the next numeral number would be or look like.  If some of you like the title and can tell me what the next numeral should look like, I will create a thread.   I thought maybe it would be fun to have each member take turns creating a title.  Let me know what you think about that.

Well, Today I got my fat ass out and went for a run.  Why would I do such a thing?  One because I am participating in the Law Enforcement Special Olympics Torch Run, and because my ass is getting big and its not from lypo either.   If anyone would like to make a tax dectuble donation, PM me and I will give you a link to my web page.

Things are working out well the roomie.  Today we went to Costco and he cooked dinner tonight so that was nice.  Its almost like having a husband but with out the sex and I get the whole bed to my self.

Still have not talked to the Latin Lover, but that is OK because I have been talking to another Latin guy who is hot, hot, hot.  He sent me a flirt and I decided to email him.  The only bummer is he lives down south, but that is OK.  A plane ride is only 2 hours to get to him or to me.  But we are not at that stage yet.

Snowangel-  Those babies are so cute.  My best friend had her baby today.  He is very cute.  Can't wait to meet him this summer, since he lives in another state.

Winn- I love that new picture of you, what a catch you are, you are very pretty.

Moon-  I am glad your valentines day was great with Iceman.  Sorry you are lacking in sleep.

**** I want to welcome the new member who joined the forums.  Forgive me but when I scroll down I cannot get to your recent post and I am afraid that I will loose what I have typed.  So welcome and I look forward to getting to know you better.

I know I have missed a few people and I am sorry for that but I have company coming over and need to get going.  So I am sorry.  Hope you all are doing will.

Evening ladies-

Sun, I believe the next thread will be #XX.  Now, Cin correct me if I'm wrong.  Roman numerals are not my best subject.  Oh Sun, good luck with this new Latin guy.  I probably would not spend money on airfare to get meet someone.  But hey, maybe things would work out.  Good luck on the running too.  I couldn't do it.

Snow, those babies are adorable.

Nothing exciting here to report.  I think I'm pretty much finished with the homework for 1 of my classes.  I've got two more papers for the other one (ethics).  I'll try to knock that out this weekend.

Queen, have you talked to your case manager at your ASO?  Sometimes they can help with bills.  I know you know what you're doing.  Oh, I have used the visqueen (sp?) in the past to cover windows that let a lot of the cold in.  They work quite well.  I don't know if that would help or not.  Girl, I hope things work out for you with the heat.  This is no time of the year for that.

Well, that's all from me for tonight.  More tomorrow.

Not much going on with me. I am kind of in a funk about my gas bill. I will call my ASO and talk with them today. I hate to say it but I'm not expecting any help from them either. But I shall check into it. Other than that, I really don't have much to say.

Thank you Sun and Snow. Ya'll are too nice.

I almost sent this reply with Ya'll are too mice. LOL

I'm taking my daughter in law to the Dr today for a scheduled exam. Her due date is tommorrow. If she doesn't have the baby by the 24th at 9pm they will induce labor. Looking forward to seeing what the baby will look like.

Afternoon ladies:

Queen, I really hope something can be worked out.  This must be such an awful stressor for you.  Please hang in there. :-*

Wendy, congratulations on the upcoming birth.  Will this be your first grandchild?  I have two grandchildren and they are so much easier to take care of than what our own children were.  I think that's because we're only responsible for making them happy.  All the 'icky' stuff is kind of on their parents.

It's only like 12 degrees here today.  I wish I didn't have school tonight.  I hate going out when it's this cold.  The sun was out for a little while earlier, but now it's back to being dull grey.  I haven't really felt too good today.  Nausea, diarrhea, general tiredness.  And I ache, a lot.  I thought about taking my cane to class tonight, as we have to do an 'oral paper' thing.  I don't feel like being on my feet and walking around.  I guess it's just one of those days.  I'll check back in later-

Betty---

I did call my ASO and got a hold of my twice a week case manager. I told her that I exhausted all my options short of letting the gas get turned off which is what I am trying to avoid. She said she will put in some calls and try to get back with me today. If not today then I am stuck waiting to hear back from her next week. And today is only Tuesday. And yeah, the stress is beginning to kick in. I am still trying to get in with the therapist but hasn't gotten a call back from them either. I will get back on the phone tomorrow and try to schedule an intake before I end up going ballistic on someone at the gas company. I think they still got a problem with me because I sicked the Federal Trade Commission on their asses back when I moved in here. I am sure they have all that stuff noted.

My roomie is out working on renovations still. I have to take the garbage out but I am procrastinating because I know it is cold as hell out there. I haven't even checked the mail yet and if I have any, it's been here since this morning. I am off to watch the latest episode of The Wire on HBO on Demand, will check in later...

Edited to Add---Betty, Girl, You better watch the latest episode of The Wire, you are going to be shocked. I know I was.... ;)

Evening ladies-

Well, I didn't go to class.  I'm so burned out on school.  I keep telling myself there's only 10 weeks to go until summer break.  Two weeks of the classes I have now, then 8 weeks of new classes.  Actually, I'm pondering whether to stay in (school).  Of course, this will feeling will probably pass.

Queen, I hope you heard back from your case manager today.  It would drive me crazy having someone at my ASO who only worked twice a week.

Nothing going on tonight.  I received a copy of 'Gia' in the mail today that I'm going to watch in about an hour.  Then, I will probably watch the latest episode of 'The Wire' since you, dear Queen, seem to think it's kind of unbelieveable.  I can't wait to see what's going to happen now.  Check in later-

Betty---

Yup, heard back from my case manager and she's right with the rest of them. Nobody can do anything until my gas gets shut off or a termination notice comes. Isn't that some shit. She suggested one place but I have already talked to them, all they can give is $50 and I told her this. She seems to think that would help but actually it won't, not when my budget plan is $253 and in order for me to get on this one program my bill has to be paid in full which is $381. I feel like I have to rob Peter to pay Paul which ends up making me behind in another bill. It is all getting frustrating to say the least. Maybe when I freeze to death then someone will want to do something.  >:(

I'm glad you finally got Gia, that is a good movie, tell me what you think after you watch it. Well, about The Wire, you'll know what I mean when you see it. I don't want to give anything away.

Hi everyone-
Queen- I hope you heard back from your case manager too.  I hope they are very organized since they work so few hours.  The Wire was definately a shocker, I just hope the season ending is better than the Sopranos was.

Betty- I don't blame for not wanting to go out when it is cold out.  I am the same way.  There is a light at the end of the tunnel if you only have 10 weeks left.  I don't know how you do it, I suck at the concentration thing these days.  How was Gia?

Sun- The thread things sounds like a good idea to me.  I don't have a clue about Roman Numerals either.  Too bad we are not closer  ;D, I would love to start jogging again too.  One of these days I am at least going to start walking so I get ready to do my second March of Dimes walk with the kiddos.  Good luck with the new Latin Lover and I am glad to hear that your roomate is working out.

Win- How exciting! Congrats on your soon-to-be grandchild!!

Moon- What's your favorite girl scout cookie?  I love the Mint ones and the ones that have the choclate, carmel and coconut.  I haven't bought any yet this year, cookies go quick in my house especially during school vacation.  I have to say I think of you everytime I run into an idiot driver, they seem to be everywhere these days.

I didn't do much today.  I was going to go to the laundry mat with a bunch of clothes. That didn't happen. I have a septic tank and I can only 2 or 3 loads here a day so needless to say I am waaaaayyyyyyy behind.  When I finally get around to washing all the clothes my donation pile will probably be bigger than the clothes I need to put away, the kids have been growing like weeds.  It's hard to believe they were only like 3 or 4 lbs in the pic to the left.  Betty and Sun- Thanks for the kind words since they still looked like little aliens at that point....really, really, small aliens  ;D

I did take the kids to the cheap movie night and we saw Alvin and the Chipmunks.  It was a lot better than I thought it was going to be, cute kids movie.  I wanted to go see Spiderwick but I got out voted  :'(

I am going to my first visit with the therapist tomorrow and I am laughing my ass off because everytime I mention it my SO gets this wierd look and says "You don't need a therapist!"  I think he is afraid. Ha, ha, he should be :)

Hope everyone has a good night!
Take care, Snow

Queen, I don't know why these organizations aren't helping you more.  I don't understand why they want you to wait until your gas gets shut off.  Do they want you to get ill?  It seems like they would help people who have medical conditions before the gas got shut off.  It seems anymore that trying to get help from agencies is next to impossible.  I sure hope something works for you.  I didn't get to see the end of 'Gia.'  For some reason, it went into the next movie.  I'll mess with it tomorrow.  I'm looking forward to seeing that episode of 'The Wire.'
Snow, I don't think those little ones look like aliens.  They are so precious.  How old are they now?

Nothing else to report.  Sometimes life is just one long, boring day after another.  Maybe when spring rolls around, things will heat up.  Later ladies-

Hi GFs~

Just got home a short while ago.  Had my massage straight from work and then went to Iceman's for about 45 min.  So, I got home at 930pm or so.  Cheech had the last of the prime rib so he is all doggie smiles.

I ran into the same prob with DSS last summer on unemployment.  I wanted to "plan ahead" and get some help with my electric bill.  They couldn't do shit unless I had a late notice.  It was ridiculous, and I didn't pay late, thank goodness.  That last job came through and helped some, but it was tough.  I feel your pain, Queen.  Get those window covers.  Its a cheaper fix and will really help.

Snow, I am almost sick right now cause Cheech and I shared about ten Samoas cookies.  Oh, pardonnez-moi, they are called Caramel Delights these days.  Samoas to me, all the same.  Those and Tagalongs with the peanut butter inside are my fave.  Maybe I missed it, when were the kids born?  And, yes, I entertain myself driving as a commuter now.  I cuss out everyone, esp the short people who look like their car is going down the road unmanned.  Sit up and look out the FRONT window.  LOL  Never a dull moment in the Nation's second worst traffic area -- DC Metro.  Sheesh.

BT~  I hope you feel right again soon, its not like you to skip class.  GF you are burning yourself out.  I don't know how you do it.  If I went back to school it would be for accounting.  Yes, you were correct on the Roman numeral 20, its "XX."  Sun, we always take turns doing the threads, whoever is around makes up the next one.  But sure, you take dibs on XX and start it up tomorrow when we get to 100 posts or so on XIX (19).  Its a cool title.  And a few words of advice?  DO NOT travel to see a man.  DO NOT, lol!  You wait long enough and look hard enough, there will be a worthy one in your zip code.  We don't want you to be a leg-humper, GF!  Just say "NO!"  LOL   ;D  If he's that cute, his nice tight ass can come up to see YOU.  OK, had to vent there for a GF in need!  ;)

Win going to be a Gramma?  Oh my!  I have to say this cause its on my mind....I hope everything works out for the very best.  Seems you were very young when you had your son, and now he is going to be a father at an early age?  Best wishes to all of you.  Do you know what the baby will be?  And the baby will be a Pisces, that's a great sign!  ;)

OK, I see my Megadeth avatar has gotten Queen and BT all hot and bothered.  Queen has skeletons getting it on, and BT is gonna get the whips and chains out.  Maybe it was subliminal, but my goodness we're quite the group!  Hardcore bitches here, lmao!  Better not let Flav find out about us, lol.

Off to bed, up too late, but missed all of you.  I saw Viv reading as I went to post, Hi GF!

To answer some on the gas situation. It blows my mind that I have to literally wait on a termination notice. Is it my fault gas prices are high and this apartment is not insulted? I didn't ignore your advice, Cindy. I will eventually get out to WalMart and see if they have some of that stuff. I wasn't late on a bill with them or anything like that. And now even if you get a letter from a doctor, you still have to have the freaking termination notice and the doctor's note does not get you 30 days anymore but 2 weeks. I just want to bang my head up on something. And still can't get a hold of the freaking therapist. What gives? Do I need to have another meltdown? It certainly looks that way.

Yeah, I don't know what made me put th bones up in my avatar. I was just switching up. I will include one at the end of this post which is something I'd love to tell the gas company, my case manager and the people who have been hating on my blog....

I'll chat with you ladies tomorrow if I am in the mood..

Win - I almost sent this reply with Ya'll are too mice. LOL
Could have been worse. u could have said "Y'all are two mice".  :D and congrats on the baby Granny

Snow - your babies are too cute. guess u have to make the most of the time u have now while the cant walk or talk.  i can only imagine what it'll be like for you once they're up and about.
And my celebrity would be Terrence Howard. That guy is too handsome for his own good.

Queen - sorry about the gas thing. i hope its fixed soon.

Betty - u mentioned u were preferred to perform in the club where u used to work because u were younger and had less battle scars.  Battle scars? Do u mean actual scars. I got this picture in my head of some old woman with stab scars all over her face and body dancing on around a pole naked. And whats a pasty? I'm ignorant here, strippers are non-existent here. At least not publicly. I think.

Sun - sorry things didnt work out with LL. And your housemate sounds great. Its nice having a guy cook for u innit? My bf used to cook when i went to his place. *sigh* wish i could go back to those days. Keep us posted of LL2 or whatever u decide to call him

Christy - what did u decide to do with your hair? u guys are so lucky u dont have to go through the trauma of braiding and weaving and unbraiding and combing and relaxing  and all that shit we go though just to get our hair to look nice.  On TV in South Africa theres so many bald women now.  some of them look nice some dont. i dont think i could ever be as brave as to go that far.

Cindy - i'm glad u're enjoying your job. and Iceman ;)

Good Morning Ladies!  :) I am soooo tired this morning and I don't know if I am trying to catch something or what. I don't think I mentioned this before but I have a dog named Vivian. "Vivyt" is what I call her. She is a terrier mix and is 5 yrs old. I had a Westie that died this summer unexpectedly...she wasn't even 4  :( :( Anyways...my dogs have always gone to daycare when I am at work. I know, I know...what in the world is doggie daycare? Well the play with other dogs all day and interact with people. I don't have children so they (she now) are my kids. So I took Vivian in on Monday like always and I guess she got hurt playing w/another dog. The doctor said she was fine but she shouldn't come to play for a week. Well she is totally different. I think she is really hurt. She is usually ex burant and has lots of energy but now she is moving around like an old lady. I feel so bad. I wish I could make her feel better. I am going to try to attach a picture. We will see what happens.

Ok...not sure how to do it...help

Morning ladies-

Queen, sometimes you just have to keep bugging a place (the therapist).  It's a pain in the ass, literally.  If you have another meltdown, I'm thinking I will be there with you.

Cin, I am burned out.  I don't even know now if I want to finish this degree or not.  I'm really thinking about dropping out.  Or changing schools.  There's a lot of 'uncool' politics going on at the university I go to.  I used to like going to class.  Now, I don't even want to go to my ethics class.  And I love the man who teaches it and the course itself.  I like courses that get a person thinking.  But lately, it seems it's taking everything I have just to try to finish.

Tendai, pasties are quarter-sized round things that cover the nipples.  When I spoke of battle scars, I meant my body didn't look 'old.'  Oh, I couldn't do it now.  I'm sure my body looks like I'm about 70. :D  As far as the hair thing, well, I bleach my hair every month.  And that leaves my hair quite dry, so I usually have to deep condition it once a week.  And have to style it every day (at least every day I go out in public).   My neighbor is a black lady and she shaves her head.  It actually looks attractive on her.

Today it is freezing again.  I should go out and at least start my car for a couple minutes.  I didn't yesterday, so I hope it does start.  I really need to work on my ethics paper.  It's due next week and I think we have to give an oral presentation on it.  I'm doing mine on the criminalizing of HIV transmission (sexually).  I personally don't think it should be done.  Of course, here in Indiana it is a crime.  I was looking on a website that has all 50 states and their laws re HIV transmission. Of course, Indiana's (where I live) is the longest.  I'm sure it was written back in the stone ages of AIDS, as some of the language is outdated (a person can be charged with a felony regarding feces and urine if they have HIV).  It's a proven fact that HIV can't be passed that way.  I have to consider the redneck, backwards state I live in.

Honestly, it's been so cold here and grey, I wish I could move.  And there's never anything to do here.  I would really like to meet a nice lady, but the only place around here to do that is a bar called 'Truman's.'  And most of the ladies that go there are young party animals.  I was talking with Liz (some of you ladies might remember me talking about her before) and she said she would like to do some things together when I get out of school for the summer.  I think that would be nice.

I've been thinking lately about my true sexual identity.  I know I identify as bisexual.  Actually, if I were to ever be in a relationship again, I would want it to be with a woman.  Sex wise, it doesn't matter to me whether I have a man or woman.  Or so I think.  I'm starting to think I'm probably a lesbian instead of bisexual.  But I'm not sure about that.  That's something I'll be discussing with my therapist.  I know he's guided many people through this type of thing.  It would cause quite a scandal in my family if I were to come out to everyone.  My oldest sister (the god) is a right-winger.  My next to the oldest sister (the martyr) is pretty religious.  Not to mention my father.  He can hardly get over the fact that my brother's girlfriend is black.  I don't think my oldest sister is crazy about that either.  Can you imagine what they would do if I were to come out as being a lesbian?  And if I were to ever take Liz to anything having to do with my family, well........ She is also black.  Not that I care personally what they think of me.  But I hate taking flack for being who I am.  No, most of my family is not progressive.  My brother & I are the most open-minded.

Well ladies, I'm off to check out a couple more threads and to eat breakfast.  I'll decide then what I'm going to do today.  Maybe nothing.  I might just stay in my jammees all day.  I'll check in later-

Betty – Yeah this will be my first grandchild. Fortunately it isn't my birth child who is expecting LOL its my step son. Grandma at 35 is strange but it beats me having a kid and starting all over.

Snow – Thank you on the congrats. I like thin mints too. Your right when babies are first born they don't look real cute. My daughter in law was excitedly talking about taking professional photos as soon as the baby was born. I told her she should wait till the baby is a month old for the professional shots. That's when they start to look cute. Not that she has the money anyway. I'm sure it will be one of the grandparents paying <not me> LOL

Cindy – My son Aaron is 18 but thankfully he hasn't impregnated any poor girl who thinks he is dreamy LMAO He is cute for a bum. Looks like a male version of his mother.
Its Billy's son Jon who is 20 and playing house with my former foster daughter Amber who is 18. They where dating before she was ever in my custody.
The baby is a girl her name will be Haley Katherine or some spelling variation of those two names. You know how young people like to make names look unique.

Tendai – Thank you LOL

Omar unfortunately never gets Marlo...

Isn't that something? I was hoping it would've came down to that. But to have a kid do the deed and it caught Omar off guard. The kicker was that Marlo never even hired the kid so now I have to wonder why the kid did it in the first place or was he trying to gain a rep by taking Omar out. I remember the one scene where the kids were hanging together and one said, "That's Omar? He's gimpy as hell". The kid couldn't understand why everyone was so scared of Omar. But I think that paper they found on Omar is going to help get Marlo caught up. I have to admit that I am happy that Snoop is still around.

Betty-- If we both decide to have a meltdown, where shall we meet? Your hospital or mine... ;D I can understand you feeling burnt out about school but don't quit. You've come too far maybe a break is in order. As for you choice in who you want to be with. I've noticed that you haven't had the best track record with men so why not give the ladies a chance? I just think women are more in touch with their feelings and you probably will do better with them. Just a thought. As for coming out to your family, it sounds like to me you're gonna catch hell if you do. Something to definitely talk to your therapist about for sure. Personally, I don't care what you choose, you're my girl, if it makes you happy then I am happy.. ;)

Tendai-- Good to see you, girl.

Wishful--- What's with the one sentence drive by? You must be busy at work? Weren't you looking into getting a computer?

I haven't heard from Kevin since our last date. Not sure what that is all about but I'm not stressing it. I just think it's weird cause last week he was blowing my phone up now I haven't gotten one call. A few scenarios have played out in my mind but I figure I'll just wait and see what happens. That's about it for me....

OK, time to start a new thread.  I think Sun wanted to start one, so I won't.  *paging Sun*

Queen, the hospital here is alright as long as one gets on the right unit.  On the ICU (lockdown), you don't get to go to the cafeteria except once a week.  So you're pretty much stuck with what's on your tray.  Although I never had a really bad meal when I was there.  There's still cigarette breaks though.  But the ICU is where the really mentally disturbed are.  At least if we were in the same hospital we'd have each other. :D

Just got back from the food bank.  I'm going to make lunch in a couple minutes.  Check in later-

OK, time to start a new thread.  I think Sun wanted to start one, so I won't.  *paging Sun*

The hospital where I was, we were locked in. No cafeteria to get something decent but you did get to order what you wanted. Except for me since I was stuck with the diabetic diet crap. No one can smoke including the nurses, not even outside the hospital. I think we had some very disturbed patients but they were kinda kept in a different area.

Ok, Sun, where you at woman?
