The semantics of Israeli politics
« on: January 16, 2008, 07:26:37 AM »
2 Arab Israeli (Muslim) MPs (called MK is Israel) resign in protest over extreme-right Jewish minister Lieberman.

Their final comeback to Lieberman is quoted as a major headline every media channel (this English translation softens it a little bit, but in Hebrew, they definately didn't say "suffer from"):

"Lieberman, you are contaminated with racial AIDS"

Once again our disease is publicly used as a metaphore for everything that is foul and despicable in this world, this time, most ironically, to "protest" racism (Leiberman is no doubt extremely racist).

I don't want anyone in parliament unless they educate themselves & behave themselves though, so GOOD RIDDANCE (notwithstanding that I'd love to see Leiberman jailed like Al Capone with any excuse of corruption, but more than likely, he is a prospective PM)

I donít see what the problem is. Personally I think it is a highly appropriate label for a racist snotrag like Lieberman.

If anyone should resign it is him and all his fascist brethren.
