Hi GFs~

I saw that we were in need of a new thread so I stepped up!  I love trying to think of new titles.  This Dating Thread is like the Super Bowl, we'll have to make sure we know our Roman numerals by the end of the summer!   ;)

BT~  Glad you didn't give in to the nicotine craving.  I guess your system gets pretty dependent on that Chantix.  Spend your $$$ on that, its better for you!

Drag~  Good to see you post, I knew you couldn't stay away for too long!  I was looking at Google Earth today with Iceman and we looked at Amsterdam.  Iceman went there in the 80's and said everyone gets around on bikes, and that the streets are very narrow.  It made me think of you pedaling to work!  Be happy you don't have to pay for gas in a car, the prices in the U.S. are ridiculous!  Also, I know you have had a lot on your mind, but you know I always say that you are a tough one, and will weather any storms.  You have the power to guide your life in any direction you want, we all do.  I want to take my own advice and stop planning, and START LIVING!

I think I get so caught up in the perfection of trying to plan for the future that I miss out on the present, exhausting myself in my mind.  Remember to embrace the here and now, the present.  The "present" is truly our "gift."

Queen~  Happy Birthday to you GF!  Sorry to hear you mouth is bugging you.  I used to manage a dental office, and aside from going in to see the dentist, here's what you can do.  Gargle with warm salt water to clean that area out, and when you brush, don't brush too hard.  Ibuprofen will help reduce any inflammation in the area temporarily, but you may have to keep taking it every 4 hours.  Take it with water and it may help that headache to subside as well, perhaps you are dehydrated a little bit?  Or perhaps the toothache is leading to the headache.....Get it checked out soon, cause treatment later on can be very expensive.

I am at Iceman's house, we are having a wonderful time together this weekend.  He is warming up the couch for me, so its time to go watch some football!  More soon!

Happy Birthday Queen.

I thought of another reason why not to have unprotected sex with a guy who is aware of your status and still doesn't want to use protection. If he doesn't want to protect himself from something as awful as HIV God knows what else he might infect you with. You could wind up HIV positive and have a half dozen other stds to boot.

Hi GFs~

I am SO glad that the Packers stomped the Seagulls, after those damn birds beat my Redskins last week.  The snow was awesome to watch during that game!  Woo-hoo!

Win~  As far as my neck, I suffered a chair to the head via bar fight by unknown redneck, back on 7/7/01.  Then on 11/16/02 I was in a fender bender, some dumb ass decided to come over into my lane and he hadn't cleared the front of my car.  I stomped on the brake so hard and then T-boned him.  I held the car straight and we connected on the driver's side and front end, and he ended up on my passenger side, up in a driveway facing the opposite direction.  I got whiplash and a sore lower back from that, and all of the neck probs from previous said chair were aggravated again.  So, I am a Band-Aid.  As if diabetes and HIV weren't enough, I now have fibromyalgia.  I have shelled out $30 a week since the last week of June to get massages this year.  I can't imagine how I would feel by now with the dry weather if I hadn't had the massages thus far.

Queen~ Sorry to hear about the Rx snafu.  I know your "window" is short as far as when you can re-order your meds.  I can order about 5 days earlier each month via ADAP, so I have nearly a month stock-piled at this point.  How's the toothache?

BT~ I'm always so glad to see that you are excited about your classes.  You are really a cool chick.  I swear, some day I'll have Iceman drive me to see all of you.  I'll go pick you up, and then we'll swing up and see Queen.  Then off to Jersey, down to the Carolinas....Oh how I wish there was a way to meet Tendai and Drag.  My girls, my girls, I love you all.

Yes, I am just smitten tonight.  Iceman and I are doing SO good.  I have always been the one to sort of hold back and not flirt too much, try to be reserved, etc, in a new relationship, but I am getting so much more comfortable with him.  Its like crazy energy between the two of us, he ALWAYS brings me up, always tells me nice things when I don't expect them.  Best thing is, the man is sincere.  I can see it in his eyes.  (Oh, his EYES, you tell 'em Drag, you've seen a pic of my man....lol).

Yeah, I'm in deep girls, I have never been so fortunate in all of my life.  I pray for all of us, for all of us to get through our struggles, no matter how small they seem, and to find truly GOOD people to be a part of our lives.  It seems we all have something going on at some time or another, and its the greatest thing to see us hold each other up.   :)  I have been so blessed to have Little Sis and her husband, as well as Iceman, to be supportive of me.  I am struggling so much with this neck and the vertigo, but being strong mentally will always see me through.

Tonight I send some of my strength to all of you who need it.  Whether it be in finding that special someone, in getting along with a significant other, having the willpower to quit bad habits (but chocolate is still OK!), having the strength to do the right thing in the face of adversity, in walking away when we need to.....WHATEVER it is, you are my Family and I want ALL of us to find joy in our lives.

Quick question, what's the first thing that pops into your head?  Right now, what are you most grateful for?  Doesn't matter if its the Diet Coke you just got out of the fridge, or the cat you just fed, or the family member you just had a good talk with......

Right now, I am most thankful for my strength and perseverance, because it is bringing me good things!

Sleep tight, my GFs, see you in the morning!   :-*

The swelling around my tooth has gone down quite a bit. The headache is gone too. Probably because I took an 800 mg ib. As far as my meds, the Atripla I can only refill every 23 days. The Ziagen I'm not really sure about but because of the deal with the Atripla, I usually wait til the night before to refill.

Hey, I wanna see a pic of Iceman and those sexy eyes of his. I wanna see what has you sprung, Cindy.. ;D Nothing to report as usual. I got a little bit of money for my birthday, some more bath stuff, and a zip up type thing, forget what you call it. Thinner than a coat but quite warm. And Nefertiti from my son. No big plans and my bday is about over in under 4 hours. I guess I am just grateful to be here even though it would be nice to have someone to share my life with. But life shall go on.

I wasn't interested in football today since my squad doesn't play until tomorrow. I still hope Jessica keeps her ass at home. I think T.O. is going to play tomorrow but not gonna know til the last minute. I forget who we play, oh, I think it's the Giants. If I remember correctly we have beaten them previously and we have home field advantage.

What I am most grateful for is my recovery.  I went to an NA function tonight and heard a wonderful speaker from Gary, IN.  It was really awesome.  And the people there are my family.  The speaker there was talking about how grateful he is to be able to live life again and about how we should always be ready to help the newcomer.  And that's true with anything.  So right now, I'm grateful I still have a brain left to think with after all the shit I've put my body through.  I'm grateful for the people in my life, that's another thing I'm grateful for.  We don't know how truly fortunate we are.

Damnit, I had this long post written and lost it. Grrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     Anyway, I am most grateful for my Robert. He has been a lifechanging experience and is the main reason I am still alive.                                  ML, good title. Speaking of dates. I am talking to a really nice guy in SC, he will probably come up in February unless I get cold feet. Also , a local asked me out Thursday. I will go cause he asked me to a place I've always wanted to go so  it should be a nice night out. I am supposed to call him tonight after I get my next 2 week schedule.             Drag, glad to see you back.                                                                SS, leave that guy alone. Win has a good point, no telling what he has and you need to stay healthy.                                                              Queen, glad you are feeling better. As for the cave, try it around 7 after and there are usually eggs. Or keep reloading the page and after a few minutes they will come up. That's how I got so many.            Betty, hope you are well. I used to go to NA but don't any more cause I still smoke weed and it would be hypocritical of me to go.  There  are some real good people there.                                   Everybody else, hope you are well. Take care. Cristy

Good afternoon ladies:

Well, today I cleaned out underneath my bed.  Wow, what a mess that was.  I got two trashbags of shit out.  Most of it magazines, papers with scribbles on them etc.  I really, really want a cigarette right now.  It's so incredibly hard for me not to put my scarf over my head, throw on a coat and go to 7-11 to get some smokes.  Well, o.k., when I was cleaning out from under my bed, I found a whole, nonsmoked cigarette.  So I did the only thing to do-I smoked it.  At the time, it made me sick, made it hard to breathe, all that stuff.  But now, OMG, I'm having such a hard time.  I keep telling myself all the reasons I quit, but of course, when the craving hits, none of these matter.  OK, thanks for letting me talk about it.

Camry, I hope the appointment with your new therapist goes well and that you like this one and get some help.  Sometimes it takes a few tries before we find a counselor we like.

Other than that, not much going on here.  I haven't done anything else worthwhile today except brush my teeth and wash my face.  I haven't taken a shower.  I have taken two naps.  And I might lay back down and take another one.  I read some of my book for my Ethics class, but I just can't concentrate on it.  Not sure why.  I'm just not getting into it.  Maybe tomorrow.  OK, I hope all you ladies have a good day-

Glad to see you are doing better, Afraid. We all need some tough love at times because when it comes to making some decision's for one's self(especially matters of the heart, and we women are so emotional) it is hard to be objective. I'm glad you didn't take my being blunt as a bad thing. It's often easy to tell someone what they want to hear but a true friend tells you what you don't want to hear... ;) Good luck with finding a therapist you like too.

Betty, I'm not mad at you for smoking that stale ciggie. Don't beat yourself up, just remember how it made you feel and try to move on. LOL cause my hair is all over my head about now too. I haven't been motivated to move much either.

Lo and Behold, Rico shows up today. Only because my roomie had lent him a knife and wanted it back. She had spoke with him the other day and he said he would bring it but never did. She left a message today and poof there he was. I didn't hear the doorbell so my roomie answered the door. When he got to the top of the stairs I realized it was him. I didn't move. After talking to my roomie, he comes in my room and tries to explain things to me. Saying he is moving back home...Uh, already knew that...He was amazed I knew since he says he hasn't told anyone...Ugh, obviously he did...Then went on to spew some utter nonsense about having to leave for fear of going to jail.....Whatever!!!! I didn't even look away from my laptop. All I say, is that I'm past caring. And he left..... I hate a liar and I don't tolerate bullshit.

At the moment I am watching the Japanese version of The Eye on IFC. Last night it was One Missed Call...Is this how horror movies are going to be now? No creative thought, just steal an idea from somewhere else? That damn movie The Grudge started all this crap. I guess when any horror movie drops, I'll look to see if there is a Japanese version....I miss John Carpenter, Tobie Hooper, and Wes Craven. Even Stephen King. Gimme something to work with here, Hollywood..... :o

I hope the rest of you ladies is having a good evening...

Hi GFs~

Betty, so sorry to hear you had a smoke, or two or three....  ;D  but I can't imagine how bad the craving must be!  I'm glad to hear you're going back on the Chantix soon!

Queen~ Sounds like you DID catch Rico in a lie.  Damn those younger guys, no good, no good no good!  Esp not for a strong girl like you.  My GF in CO emailed me and said she got back together with her BF who is 10 years younger.  I told her a year ago when they started dating that it would prob lead to trouble, and it was a soap opera for her all through 2007.  Now she's taken him back, oh brother.  Stay away from the young ones I say.  Hell, even the ones our own age are trouble, you just have to have good radar, which comes after kissing a bunch of toads.  Iceman is 45 and I am 38, so far so good.  Had enough of those toads.  Nevertheless, I'm glad you can put your foot down where Rico is concerned and call it quits, you know its for the best.  How'd you like that Dallas-Giants game?  Pretty good to watch, although you know who I was rooting for!  Sorry!  ;D

Hi Camry~  Looking forward to hearing about your therapy session.  It should get better for you before you know it.  Sometimes just venting is a big help!  I'm glad to hear that you're on the upswing and doing better.

Cristy~  Sorry to hear you lost the post you had.  Remember "Control A" to highlight, and then "Control C" to copy before you post, just in case....Sounds like you are going to be the social butterfly with these dates.  I say keep your nerve up and don't chicken out.  The worst part is getting TO the date, when your mind is racing,  and usually a few minutes into it you can start to relax.  Are these two guys poz or not?  Best of luck with them, and remember to have FUN!

I am back at home, ready to go to bed.  No shows on tonight cause of the Writer's strike, so its bedtime early tonight.  I go to my primary and my ID docs this week, so I will have my latest labs Tuesday evening.  I may try to do that graph thing on this website where you you can chart your labs.

Sleep tight everyone and stay warm tonight!

OK, here's my latest and greatest bitch-

I was getting $9/month in food stamps.  Last year I didn't have to pay for my meds-my Medicare Part D prescription plan paid for it.  Here in Hoosierville, with Medicaid they have what they call spend-down.  Which means someone has to pay x amount of dollars before the state of Indiana will cover medical bills.  So......... because I got a $18/month raise in my social security, they cut my food stamps to $0, I have to pay $70/month for my medications, and my spend-down is now $130/month.  So I'm stressing right now.  I don't know how I'm going to make medical ends meet.  The food, that ain't a problem.  I can go to food banks.  But I don't know where I'm going to come up with $70/month for meds and the $130/month for the Medicaid spend-down.  That's the main reason I went to get smokes today.  SO FRUSTRATING!

Hey Ladies----

Still nothing eventful going on. My Cowboys lost yesterday and we're done for the season. I know Jessica's ass was there somewhere...I still have not been able to get my hearing aid up there to Ed. I called my case manager about it because my old case manager use to take me to appointments if I had problems getting there. Yeah, I know you are all thinking, take the bus but my fear is I will get off the bus and get smacked by a car or something. Hey, it can happen. I did have a ride lined up for today but she got called into work, that's what made me call my case manager. And what does she say?---I'll have to think about it. What? Does she think I am going to car jack her or something? She doesn't have but 2 clients today and a few phone calls. I mean really, she only comes in twice a freaking week.

Betty, I feel your pain on the Medicare issue. I think here in Pa someone pays that fee. The person to talk to would be Philly, he seems to know all about that stuff or can point you in the right direction. Something is like that is going on with my Atripla, I can only get 23 days worth at a time because of some cut off thing.Gotta love our government. I am counting the days til Bush gets his ass out of the White House. I just hope whoever takes his place does a better job. But who am I kidding, they prolly won't or just wanna do things for the rich folks.

Cindy, I have caught Rico in a few lies really. I think his problem is he forgets the lies he tells. I also think he has a problem with putting himself in situations where he is always the victim because he wants the attention. But you know Her Majesty doesn't play the victim and I can't tolerate lies. It's like he is 31 with the mindset of a teenager. I didn't want to become a bitch to him but he left me no choice. And he often let's his mouth write checks that his ass can't cash. Hell, I wouldn't mind an older guy but then it seems like the only older guys that seem interested in me are old enough to be my father...And that is so like Ewwwww. I thought with Rico being 8 years my junior that it would be different. My radar seems to stay broke....@%&#* it.... :D

Hey first time on the dating thread got a question. I never dated much before and sure don't now. but i went to the country for a rest and behold met a nice country lad....shit a gentle man.... hi i think your swell want to date sure....something i must tell you first..... doesnt seem to work sooo I actually met some one here at poz from canada yeah i met three wonderful friends that i converse with about life family, support meds  whatever
one from Vancouver one from back East and another from my town. now my question is  they all are normal and nice to converse,,i wish they were closer for a support group or a something. I actually had a conversation with one about life and dating. We had this  interesting conversation.... If two poz people date can't they reinfect each other with a new strain i think i saw this on Oprah with Regan. so one should use condoms when  both poz anyway for the fear of super infection or increase viral load???? or chance of a new strain any body have data on this??? is this true?? This is a gopod question for all poz women and dating!

Good evening ladies:

Powerpuff, Ann, one of our goderators, would be the one to answer that question.  It seems that some people on here don't use protection if both people are poz.  I can't really tell you for sure one way or the other.  I used to believe that cross-infection could occur.  But then I know I read on here that if the viral load is undetectable, there is only a very slim chance for infection.  So, I would suggest that you pm Ann.

Queen, girl, don't you hate depending on the system.  And what does your care coordinator mean, she'd think about it? (giving you a ride).  What is her problem?  She's there to help you.  I don't blame you for not wanting to take the bus.  Your care coordinator at your ASO should really step up to the plate and help you!  That irritates me.  Maybe you should go over her head.  About Rico, younger guys sometimes can be very mature-but I've only found this on rare occasion.  Not that the older guys are all that much better.  You made the right decision.

Anyway ladies, the drama continues with the whole prescription, spend-down on the Medicaid thing.  I know it sounds like a cliche, but I'm trying just to take things one day at a time, because that's the only way I can do it.  I got such a terrible stress headache today that I had to lay down for a couple hours.  I still have a little bit of it left over.  I can't let this make me sick.  Oh, I have an appointment with a gynecologist on the 28th to see what he says about me having periods every two weeks etc.  So, that's taken care of anyway.  I hope all you ladies have a good evening.

Hello ladies. Been a busy day. Robert has parainfluenza, which is just a fancy term for flulike virus. I also went to the doctor and my CD4's last time were down to 350 from 490. We will be watching to see if there is a trend. My vl is undetectable so that is a relief. He gave me some leviquin(think that's right ) for my sinus infection. I also told him about me being soooooo tired and he seemed to put it off on my xanax. I told him, I have been taking that for months and have never been this tired. I also bitched cause I can barely work my little 20 or less hour job and Social security seems to feel I can work  a full time job. Not!!!! Anyway, the lawyer I contacted declined my disability case and gave me a referral # to call. I will call sometime this week cause I only  have 6 months left before they have to give me my hearing and I want a lawyer to go with me.                                                                     Queen, sorry about Rico. That's why I always try to tell the truth cause I get too confused when I lie.  Hope your hearing aids get fixed soon.                                                Betty sorry you are having issues with your services. I hate asking for help and hope you get some soon.                              ML, the local guy is not poz as far as I know but I think I will go out with him anyway. It would be a fun night out so why not. The one from SC is poz and very nice but I am not sure about him. I might just be scared, I don't know.                                         Welcome to  powerpuff. This is a great site. Hope you like it.                   Afraid, glad you have that appointment. I used to go to a Therapist and it really helped. hope yours does, too.          Everybody else, take care. Cristy

Rock 'n' rolled at work today, my numbers for production are good, but I am getting some serious vertigo with not moving while at my desk.  My neck stiffens up and I get bug-eyed, too.  I just try to work through it, through the "drunk" feeling.  You should see me when I get up and try to walk to the restroom.  Yikes!.  So tired right now and I have to get up early tomorrow so that I can leave work earlier than normal for my PCP appt.

BT, how long have you had bleeding every two weeks?  I was spotting for a few years and then was bleeding every two weeks.  Then it all ran together and I'd go for 14 days straight.  Seems that Sustiva was affecting the potency of my birth control pills, which were originally taken to help keep my cycles regular.  I suggested to my GYN in August that I go off the pill after 19 years, and low and behold my cycles are normal and light!  I go see the GYN in a few weeks, she wants to keep doing PAPs bec I had an abnormal one last May.  Damn insurance wouldn't cover the last one and they prob won't cover this next one.

I watched "Sicko" tonight.  Don't even get me started.  You know if I didn't have HIV and access to ADAP, I would be paying $500/month for my premium and co-pays?

That is just so wrong.

More when I am feeling more rested, later this week.  Iceman is doing great, btw!   :D

Good evening again ladies:

Cristy, you just enjoy yourself with that man.  I hope all goes well for you.  Disability is a motherf*** to get on.  I hope you get help.  With your tcells declining, it may be time.  How long have you been poz?  Have you ever had any OI's that are documented?  Anyything else you can go for on the disability, like mentally (I'm not suggesting you're crazy, but sometimes something like chronic depression helps I think).  I'm sending you good energy for all that.

Cin, I've been bleeding every two weeks for the past couple months.  And the periods are getting heavier.  On the 28th I'm seeing a gynecologist I've seen in the past.  He had to do a D&C before because of the heaviness of the bleeding.  I know how you are feeling after watching Sicko.  It's a real eye-opener, isn't it?  BTW, how's your brother doing (the one that just got home)?  It must be such a relief to have him home.

I really don't have anything else to report.  I hope everyone is doing well.

Hi girls

Not much going on here.  I was reading and catching up on all of the posts and steamed my veggies to long and now they are soggie, but oh well I am not going to throw them out I hate to waste food and don't feel like cooking anything else for my lunch tomorrow.

Well, it sounds like Christy and I our in the same boat.  Had a date with a neggie tonight.  He was nice but, no spark.  I think he would be fun to hang out with just as friends, since we have the same interest but that is about it.   Wed night I have a date with the + guy that I went out with a couple of weeks ago.  Not sure what to make of him yet.  He  text's me good morning every day but then when I send him a text back it takes him hours to respond or he does not respond at all.  He always blames it on his work, but if he is this busy with work then how is he going to have time for me?   So I will see how Wed goes that is if he does not cancel.

I am off to bed, was out with the Latin Lover way to late last night and was up early so I am going to try and get to bed early since I have to work 6 hours tomorrow on my day off.

Hope all is well.

Good evening ladies:

Sun, it sounds like you've been very busy.  I'm anxious to hear about how your date with the poz guy goes.

Wishful, isn't it funny how we switch from cigs to Black & Milds, even though they seem to do more harm to our lungs? (At least mine feel that way).  They are cheaper than cigarettes though.  I don't know how much longer I'll be smoking them.  They cause me to have terrible headaches.  And I went back on the Chantix.

Yes ladies, I'm back on the Chantix.  I know all the evils of smoking.  The health problems, the stench, the second-hand smoke effects.  I feel much better when I'm not smoking.  I did gain an unwanted 20 lbs though.  But I know I can lose that.

As for the medical bills issue, I called the number on the back of my prescription card and the person I talked to told me to call Medicare.  So I did and the recording came on and told me I would have a 15 minute wait. >:(  I'm not waiting on the phone for 15 minutes.  So I will call them back tomorrow.  I took the bill for the medicine to my ASO.  Hopefully they will take care of it, this month at least; which is better than nothing.  Next Tuesday I will probably hit a food pantry.  There's some pretty good ones around here.

How is everyone?  Drag, thanks for the PM.  I really appreciated it.  Cin, how are you?  Queen, what's up?  I hope everyone else is doing alright! :-*

Hi GFs~

Iceman skipped an opportunity to see his first Washington Capitals (NHL) game of the season, just so he could come over and help fix my brakelight -- AGAIN.  This is the 4th time he's had to go into one or both of the brake lights to replace cracked or exploded bulbs.  Turns out the inside layer (didn't know they had one?) of the red reflector was loose.  It was rattling against the new bulbs and causing them to crack or get very hot and explode.  Stay tuned, lol!  Ice will see the Caps this Thursday instead, but we were originally supposed to have a sleep-over at my place.  ;D  Its OK, he has been so good to me with this tail light stuff in the past week, so I'm OK with him going down to DC for the hockey game.  He said he would come over late tomorrow night instead, he has the girls this coming weekend, so its tomorrow night or else we have a long wait for our love-struck selves!  ;)

OK, so WHY am I feeling drunk and tipsy with perfectly clear vision?  WHY am I unbalanced?  Why do I hate walking into open areas with fear of falling and having nothing to grab on to?  PCP Doc says its -- NEUROPATHY.  Shit.  I guess I figured after 27 years of diabetes and 14 years of HIV, it would catch up to me sometime.  What sucks is that for the past 5 or 6 years the docs and I have been blaming it on my neck injuries.  The neck injuries don't help, but they aren't so severe that they would cause this kind of feeling.

I will have blood drawn to check for neuropathy and also for lupus, just in case.  Next week I go for a "nerve conductivity" test on my hands and feet to see how bad this is.  The condition cannot be reversed, but it can be stopped from getting any worse, so the Doc says.  BT, maybe you or someone else can answer this: "Does the PN come from the virus itself or is it a side effect of the meds?  Or both?"  Curious here.

My labs are still good, but going in the wrong direction.  See what a month of working can do as far as stress to the system?  My CD4 went from 746 to 615, and my VL is still undetectable.  My cholesterol went in the wrong direction, too, but total is 188 (last time was 166 and prior I was always above 200).  I'll blame that on the holidays.

I am ready to fall over, need to go rest my neck and my body, trying to "stand up on a boat" all day is really exhausting.  I'll reply more over the weekend.  Thanks for understanding, I am ready to do a header into the keyboard!

Well Cin, my PN started as a result of a lot of AZT in the early 90's.  It just got worse.  I can't say specifically that it was the HIV, meds, becoming diabetic about 10 years ago; probably a combination of these three.  I have been on Neurontin for years.  Currently I'm on 800 mgs twice a day.  I know that sounds like a lot; but that's what it takes for me.  Hope you can get some relief! :-*

Thanks Betty.I am trying the Anxiety angle as well with the disability. I have not had any OI's but I should have been classified as AIDS in 2005 when my cd4 dropped to below 200. My doctor just did not switch my classification.   I have been diagnosed poz since September of 2004.            Don't be too hard on yourself for smoking, there are so many other worse things that you could be doing so just keep trying.                                                        I got my schedule and will probably go out with the neggie next weekend. I do have Saturday night off this weekend but have to go in Sunday at 8:30 as Supervisor so I can't go. I would be too tired.           Anyway, I will check back in tonight. Later, ladies. Good morning ladies:

Cristy, I will tell you one thing about trying to get disability- when I applied for it back in 1993, I was still working part-time.  As long as I was able to work even part-time, they wouldn't give it to me.  Of course, I finally had to quit working when I got the wasting syndrome, and that's when I got it.  I know some people can't afford to quit working, just saying what happened to me.

I hope all you ladies have a good day!

I was on disability for a few years in the early to mid 90's. I had to go back to work when my husband got to sick to work anymore.
I worked for a couple of years and after he died I tried getting back on. I was denied a couple of times.

Reguardless of my numerous OI's and my tcells being as low as 3 before and at last check they where below 200 they wont allow me back on disability.
I figure for me to be allowed back on disability I'd have to have one foot in the grave and maybe the other one dangling in there with it.

Wendy, if I were you I would contact your senator or congressman. That's how I got on it when I did-was by contacting my senator and having their office work on it.  It doesn't cost anything.  Maybe that would help you.

OK Ladies maybe this will give you good laugh for the day.  So I started talking to this guy from this site and he we IM'd each other for the first time today.  After we exchanged pleasant comments back and forth he asked me if I was a dominate women and which point I said yes to a certain extent.  He asked if I was into dominating my man and said I would prefer that if I was in a relationship to have a equal partnership.  He then began to tell me that he was into being dominated by a women.  I asked him how so?  He replied that whatever I told him he would do and that if he did not he would then be punished it whatever way I saw fit.  I asked him how long he has been into this behavior and has he found a lot of women that were into this.  He said that he was an ex-marine and had several women who enjoyed being dominate.  I asked him the last time that he was  dominated by a women.  He said about a month ago, that this women had him clean her house, wash her car and he was on his hands and knees like a dog while she ate dinner.  He then told me that he did not obey and she punished him and he had to wear a collar around his neck.  I then asked him if he had any pictures and he forwarded me pictures of him in some leather get up that only a women would wear.  I asked him does his family know that he is into this since he is a ex-marine, not bad looking and pretty buffed.  He told me that they did not know to what extent but that he liked a dominate women.  If I was willing to take this on he would have me sign a slave contract saying that he was my slave and if he were bad, I would be able to punish him any way I wanted.   Well, this is a first for me, I think that I liked it when guys did not answer my emails.  Not something I am into but I will not judge different strokes for differnet folks.

think i might want to try it. just once though

Hello. not much happening here, little snow, no school.                   Win, sorry to hear about your disability troubles. It is very hard to get as Betty said.     Betty, I think you are correct, I probably won't get it as long as I am working parttime. That sucks!!!!!!     And it appears no lawyer wants to help. So maybe I wi,      I don't know what  I will do, have to think on that one awhile.                                                        SS, yes I have heard of men like that. If you want to, try it. You might both like it.I have never had one of those but am familiar with the slave concept. It just depends on your level of comfort but I wouldn't sign any contract, tell him  it's a trial basis.                                                 I made a date with the negative local guy for the 26th.  He wanted to go this weekend but I work Sunday so next weekend is better.      Should be a fun night out.                                    Time to feed the critters, I will check back later. Good morning ladies:

Sun, that's funny.  I know of men like that.  When I was a junkie in the early 80's, I used to do anything for money and have participated in stuff like that.  Of course, at the time I didn't mind doing it, because I wanted to get high.  Like Cristy said, I wouldn't sign a contract though.  I wouldn't want to be bound by anything.

Tendai, good to hear from you!  How have you been girl?

Cristy, no lawyer will help you?  Why not?  Maybe they think since you're still working, they don't have a chance of winning.  I don't know what to tell you.  If you think you can make it, maybe you should quit.  But can you afford to do that?

Anyway ladies, I e-mailed my care coordinator at my ASO to tell her that someone (Phily) said that ADAP should be my secondary insurance.  I know here in Indiana there's a long waiting list, but I think it's like that in every state.  I don't expect to hear back from her until tomorrow, but hopefully she can sort it out.  Other than that, I have class tonight.  It's Ethics and I love it because it's very thought-provoking.

It seems like hardly anyone is checking in here.  I hope I don't end up talking to myself!  Have a good one-

Betty, i believe that is exactly it. The one lawyer I contacted said if I can work parttime then I can work full time. I said I  can barely work 20 hours per week, How am I supposed to work full time. so I guess I will just try another lawyer. I don't want to quit my job cause it's really hard to find work around here. Everything is 45 minutes away and since I would only be able to find something making minimum wage, the drive would not be worth it. Thanks for your advice.                               I hope you enjoy your ethics class.                                                                                                 If it was me in Sun's  position, I would probably scare the poor guy to death. Break out a strap on and whip  if he was bad.  But I tend to confuse Dominate and hurt so he better be glad it's not me.                   Hope everyone is staying warm and dry. I go to work at 4:15 but will go slow so should be fine. Maybe we will be busy ;D    Cristy

Cristy, what I would advise, if you really want and need disability is to quit work and wait it out. I know that's hard, especially if you can't afford it.  I know you'll give it some thought.  Good luck at work this afternoon.  I hope you're going to be o.k.
Peace-

GFs~

I'll be posting a lot this weekend, since its my weekend without Iceman.  :(  We didn't see each other last night, he was at a store 1-1/2 hours away from me.  It snowed tonight and he wanted me to go to the Caps game, but I was exhausted.  He skipped it anyway cause the roads were bad.

I saw my ID doc today and my CD4 is higher than 615, like 650 or something -- I'll have to check the printouts again.  So tired, more this weekend, I want to chime in on the disability issue as well.

And I didn't forget, although she hasn't posted in a bit, Happy Birthday to ConfusedMe.  I hope it was a relaxing, uneventful (in a good way) day for you!

Yeahs, where the hell is everyone?  I am running on fumes, but still like to check in.  Queen?  CAMS??? (Update, GF!)

Oh Sun, btw, I shudder to think what this guy will do when you tell him you are a police officer.  Oh dear God.  LOL    ;D

Wow, it sure is "vewwy vewwy qwiet" in here..........I forgot to take my meds last night -- first time ever.  I'll survive.  Also, my CD4 is 615, my doc read me the wrong number, she has been pissing me off with her bedside manner.  I am going to start looking for a new one, but they are difficult to find nearby.

A GF at work who sits right behind me is pretty cool.  Today I found out that she has been living on the same court as me for six years!  Small world, huh?

Its Group for me tonight.  I am going to pig out, come home and pig out some more on a cake I baked last night and then I will proceed to skip breakfast tomorrow.  I have to fast each meal on separate days to straighten out my pump doses.  This is a way to see what my body does on the current dose without any food or extra insulin.  Wish me luck!

My back felt so much better today, and you know what?  I shoveled snow last night.  It was a quick shovel, about 15 minutes, but it really limbered up my entire back where I had been having a lot of pain and stiffness.  I'm still a little off balance from the neuropathy, but working on that, too.  I'll keep you posted.

Drag, thanks for the PM, lots of good info in there.  Its always nice to see what someone else has gone through.  I'll reply over the weekend, GF.

OK, everyone "Come out come out wherever you are!"    :D

Hi Girls

Well I am glad that you guys had a good laugh about my dominatrix story, I know I sure did.   I loved reading the posts and got a good laugh when you guys remembered about my line of work.  Yeah something tells me he does not want to talk to me anymore.  He IM'd me the other and was telling me that he will fly out to me see.  I told him that was nice and all, but that I was not really into his life style and I like it to be more 50/50 in a relationship.  He just did not get that, he said that he could be the dominate one for a while and tell me what to do and if I was bad he would punish me.  Now I am all in for roll playing but when it its someone who wants to live like this all of the time, is just not my thing.  He must have also forgot that I was in law enforcement since he asked me if I was 420 friendly.  (Now I must say that I really don't care what you do in your personal life but due to my job I cannot be around that kind of thing.  I am sure that some of my friends do it and don't tell me and all I  ask is that if they are in the same car with me or at my house that they don't have it any where near me.)  But I told him that I was not 420 friendly and he said that he needed it for a head injury from when he fell off a ladder.  I asked him how often he smoked and he said every day.  My reply was OH  and then he signed off and I have not heard from him since.

Well on the home front I have found a roommate.  Its a coworker and he is 22.  So the rumors are starting already that I am sleeping with him.  He has spent the night several times if we get off late, but he sleeps in my spare room.  So we are going to play a joke on everyone at work.  We are all a bunch of jokers at work.  So his sister is pregnant so we are going to take her ultrasound picture of the baby and photo-shop so it has my name on it and we are going to have it on his locker.  (All of the guys have pictures of their spouses, kids etc on their locker)  We figure this will teach people to start rumors.  At this point with him moving in and me wanting to have a baby, which is no secret they just may believe it.

Well that is all I have, so I guess no news is good news.

I have been reading around on here tonight when I should be sleeping.  I was hoping that Queen would show up.  I sent her a text message, but its from a new phone number, so I don't know if she'll read it.  :(

I just clicked on Cristy's first dragon and thought its name was cool...."Creeping Death," like the Metallica song from back in the day.

I took my meds at 10pm tonight after missing them last night (only time in my life) and I am getting a little buzz, not too bad.  Damn insulin pump is beeping, time to go change that now.  Its always something.......

Sleep tight, GFs!

Sun, you posted while I did.  Yes, I think the fall off of the ladder certainly DID something to the guy, and if he is willing to fly and see you.....LEG-HUMPER ALERT, no offense!  LOL  And just when we thought those leg-humpers had quieted down!  LMAO  Love the ultrasound pic idea, too, lol!

Aloha ladies,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CONFUSED! hope this will be a year of happiness & joy for you.

Queen, pls check in!!

Me am ok except for my buggered arm. Cindy, I told you it was to do with this sitting quiet... you need some movement, we all deserve more than being cramped in a chair all day. speaking of which... i have to work on the weekend on the bloody presentation.

this week i was struggling with anger over my bosses and workplace. basically some changes have been made to our salaries which were unfari, and my bosses are continuously ripping off my ideas which irritates me to no end, and I do think they would never dare to do this if they didn't know I was poz and more desperate about my future. fuckit. but yesterday as i was ready to blow a fuse, my BF came home all wet and told me he got a flat tire and had to walk in the rain. well i was bitching and moaning about my work grieviences and he was strangely quiet, then we were eating and he told me he had been in an accident and got knocked off his bike by a car! OMG!!! That sure put things in perspective. I have seen a couple of cyclists killed by a car here. That made both of us think, what's the point of worrying so much over things outside our control when the real thing is living life now.

I still have to watch out with my arm so will keep this short. Tendai you know I'm so happy for ya. Cristy & Betty, lots of luck with the establishment & all those hurdles that it puts up. I have no social security, none, nada, that's one reason I am so pissed with my job. I don't need it, but you never know. i can't claim unemployment either.
One reason I am so worried about this is that I am hoping to have a kid in a year or two.

You guys are so strong. Actually all the women who use this boards are inspiringly strong. Speaking of strong women... & creepy men, Sun I am glad you're staying away from that one...

Hi GFs~

I got up early and amazingly my blood sugar was in a "good" range, so I am able to fast through lunch today.  God help me.  My sugars have been nuts, and the only way to make sure your basal rate (translate "IV drip" from the pump) is set correctly, is to fast through one meal on three different days.  So I ate breakfast at 830am and I don't get to eat until 4pm today.

I'm a little worried because I have errands to run, and with the vertigo/neuropathy thing I would feel better with food in me.  I can always quit and start over on another day if I need to.  Going to get my roots done today, so I'll be in a chair for a little while, no probs there as far as fasting.

I have thought about disability recently as well, and once I get my nerve test results back, I'll know better what to do.  I'll call my Case Manager or my support group leader to get help with where to start.  Its amazing that the unbalanced thing is the most debilitating, with everything else that I am dealing with.  Here's my shit list:

Diabetes, on insulin, 1981
HIV+, 1993 (meds since '95)
neck injuries - 7/01 & 11/02, resulting in fibromyalgia
Generalized anxiety disorder since '89, but minimal probs

Possible diabetic neuropathy now but I have NEVER been hospitalized or had an OI for HIV, so I wonder how my disability would look?  It just seems like a monumental task to go through it all.  My neck really bugs me, but I haven't seen my chiropractor since June.  She said I needed therapeutic massage therapy, so that's what I've been doing since then, to the tune of $30/week.  Even all of that time while I was unemployed, and my massage therapist doesn't take credit cards, its all been out of pocket.  So, I'm concerned that if I DO turn to disability in the coming year, my chiropractor won't have any recent history on me.  Sure, I could go back, but its a $50 deductible since its a new year, and then $20/visit.  Last May I was going 3x/week when I started back.

I am just one big math equation, and lately its been getting difficult to keep things balanced with this body, no pun intended.

OK, I need to go shower and get to my hair appointment, and try not to think about food.  Wish me luck.  If I fast well today through skipping lunch, I am going to pig out tonight, lol.

I have sent Queen a text message and an IM, but nothing yet.  :(

Good morning ladies:

I'm getting a little worried about Queen.  I hope she checks in soon.

Cin, I don't even know what to tell you.(about the disability).  You can read from my previous posts, it's hard to get; and when someone has it, then gives it up and then tries to get it back, good luck.  I've never given it up.  I have had two OIs: 1)wasting syndrome; 2) PCP.  Oh, gf, you don't even want me to start on my "shit list." :D  I'd be here for an hour, just typing things out.LOL  Anyway, good luck with that fasting today.  I hope things even out with your pump.  I still find that fascinating (the Insulin pump).  I look forward to hearing more from you this weekend.

Drag, thanks for checking in. Wow, thank goodness your bf was alright!  That was a close one, eh?  So, what's going to happen with your arm?  Is there anything the medical establishment can do?  Is it ever going to heal?  I know you probably can't check in here (and type) regularly, so just do what you can. :-*

Sun, love the idea of the ultrasound pic!  Good luck with him being your roommate also. I didn't know you were looking for one.  Glad that guy quit bothering you.

It's only 4 degrees here this morning!  And it's not supposed to get much warmer.  Ugh!  I don't have anywhere to go until tonight.  I think I'll probably stay in and study for my exam in my Ethics class and there's a movie I have to watch for my social psych class and do an assignment.  I can't believe this cold snap we're having.  Other than that, there's really nothing exciting or interesting to report.  I hope all you ladies have a good day.  I'm sure I'll check in later.

OK, it's 9 degrees outside.  This evening, actually in a couple of hours, I'm going to a community meeting about trying to achieve some peace.  I think HRC (human rights commission) is putting it on; not sure.  I'm interested in doing something because, well, it just bugs me when people bitch and don't do anything; mostly myself.  So, I really didn't feel like it, but I forced myself to take a shower.  I used some of the Paloma Picasso shower gel/lotion that my best friend gave me for X-mas.  Of course, it took me long enough to take a shower today.  It's just so cold outside, I really don't feel like going anywhere.  But I did commit to this, so I'm going to go through with it.  I'll let you all know how it goes.  Other than that, it's been quiet today.  Neighbors not fighting, no dogs barking, just freezing cold outside.  And 9 is the high for the day! :P

OK ladies, so I was going to go to that meeting, but my period started.  This makes five days in between them now.  It's not real heavy, just really bothersome.  So, I'm not going and I'm staying in.  It's too cold to go outside anyway.  Just FYI.

I have eaten three pieces of cake since 5pm, and I want my man tonight!  LOL

I had breakfast at 830am and didn't eat again until 5pm, hence the three pieces of cake following dinner.  OMG, it was just SO yummy!  Bad girl, Cindy, very BAD.   ;D

Iceman sent me some text messages today when he was out with the girls.  I was very flattered when he called tonight and they were both in the car with him.  He really DOES talk to a lot of store managers all day long every day, so the girls didn't have any idea that it was me.  They don't even know that Daddy has a GF, its much too early to spring that on them.

Iceman and I miss each other like crazy!  I was with him last weekend, all weekend long at his place, and then I saw him briefly Tuesday night when he came over to fix my taillight for the fourth time.

I am having serious wothdrawl, let's just say Aunt Flo didn't help last weekend, either.  :P

Speaking of Flo, BT, you mean you just stopped 5 days ago and have now started again?  Oh my, Aunt Flo is bringing her sisters along, sounds like.  I'm glad you're getting this checked out.  Keep us posted.

My hair turned out great today!  I am very pleased, got my roots done and kept my natural blonde on the ends, looks like I just came in from a walk on the beach!  I only started coloring my hair last year, and glad I decided to do so, but damn its expensive!  I spent Christmas money on my hair and treated myself today.

I still haven't heard from Queen, this is all very strange.  She's never been gone this long, and she's never been in so much of a funk that she has stayed away.  If she was in a funk, she'd post something very short and to the point, to let us know she was OK.  I am going to text her again.

I am so worried about her now.  I almost want to go on a road trip, but I don't have her new address.  Its a 6-hour drive, it would kill me, but I could almost do it.....Damn, now I'm thinking too much.  I hate not knowing how she's doing.  I just thought for a moment and I remember her last name from when I sent her a card once.  Hmmmm, I hope I don't have to use it and check the hospital near her or anything, but I could.

I'm such a worrier, dammit, Queen, come back to us, GF.  :(

Cin, I'm missing Queen too.

I've been coloring my hair since I was 16.  Blonde, jet-black, then blonde.  Been blonde for the last few years.  I have to deep condition it all the time.  I do it myself, but I'm used to it.  And I go to a beauty supply store to get the color.  So I like it also.  Well, you've seen it when I had the pic of me on here.  I like your color also.

Yes, Flo continues to be a consistent visitor.  Hopefully the GYN will have some answers.  I wonder where everyone's at?  Come on, ladies.

OMG, its 16 degrees here this morning with a wind chill of -1 degrees!  The dew point is even down to -2, I didn't know you could have a negative dew point!  The wind is blowing at about 20mph.  This is SO cold for Maryland.  I look forward to watching the football games today, but I feel sorry for those players!  Go Pats and Go Packers!

I put off going to the store yesterday because I was fasting.  I am trying to convince myself to go out at 10am before all of the church-goers get out.  I hate Walmart on a weekday, and a Sunday is going to be nuts.  I have told myself that all I am going to get is a few things I need so that I can make lunches this week.  Forget doing the entire list!

Well, you could hear a pin drop in here, so many of you have been away.  I guess BT and I will be holding the thread together until this hiatus is over, I just hope that everyone is doing alright.

My blood sugar is 89 this morning which is perfect and unheard of!  I am psyched!  Time for breakfast!

Wow Cin, a blood sugar of 89 after 3 pieces of cake?  I'd like to know how you do that! ;)  Yes, I guess we're going to be holding down the fort until some more ladies decide to join us.

Well, it's -1 outside this morning.  And it's deceiving because the sun is out.  It's too cold for polar bears, let alone humans!  I'm trying to think if I have any reason for going out, which I don't think I do.  I can't believe it's so cold.  I didn't even go to church.

OK ladies, let's hear something from ya!

Insulin pumps are incredible.  I corrected a very high 300+ blood sugar at bedtime last night with an extra dose of insulin.  I did the ENTIRE list at WalMart and was home by 1115am.

I was so tired, so I just rested and surfed the net.  Then I got some energy?!?!?!  I was going to walk on my treadmill, but before that, i started straightening my closet, throwing out shoes that I hadn't worn in a year.  I love when that happens, when you don't have to think about whether or not you REALLY need to keep something, you just toss it.

I live like such a pauper and don't have many new clothes or anything, so I hate to throw things out, but I am ready to "clean as I go" and start tossing shit.  Its a great feeling, but.....

I caught myself getting weepy and it was really weird.  Could it be that I am afraid of change?  Afraid of losing things that make me who I am?  Afraid of a new start?  Shit, I WANT all of those things!  So, onward I will go, into whatever future this home holds for me, whatever future Iceman holds for me.....

So, I got on that treadmill and walked this time, no running, because it threw me into a tailspin 2 weeks ago with the neck and back and vertigo stuff.  I went 1-1/4 miles in 20 minutes, walking very fast at about 3.5.  I lost my balance a little, but pushed through.

My sugar was 124 before walking and a low 73 after walking, so I dialed my pump down to 50%.  This helps it cut back the amount of insulin you get each hour (kinda like an IV drip).  My alarm just went off, yes, I beep, so I have to go test and turn the throttle back up to 100%.

Yes, Viv, I would also be interested in hearing about some of your Daytime Drama with the little ones!  LOL

Time for football, and still no word from Queen.  I am ready to call the local hospitals.  We KNOW this is not like her.  Dammit, I'm getting REALLY worried now.

Hang in there, BT, and I'll let all of you know if I hear anything.

Cin, I recycle clothes.  I take clothes back to Goodwill and that's where I get my new clothes from.  Recycling is really great for the soul.

I've found myself in a funk today and there's no reason for it, there's no explanation, and I see no solution, except that tomorrow is a new day.  I was eating today, and I was going to study for my ethics exam, but I can't hold information in right now.  I just feel like I don't want to do anything, not even take a shower.  The only thing I did today was to brush my teeth (well, actually, soak them because I have dentures), and brush out my mouth.  Other than that, I haven't really done shit.  And I feel a little, um, discumbobulated (I don't even know if that's the correct spelling or if that's a word).  My head doesn't feel right, the thinking part of me.  Part of it could be because I haven't been to a meeting in a couple weeks.  You know, I need my meetings to kind of keep focused.  I just don't feel like taking a shower to go, and I'm not going to one without taking a shower.  So, I'm here kind of with my foot 1/2 in and 1/2 out of knowing what to do and deciding if I really want to do it or not.  Does anyone else have those kind of days? ???

BT~

I have days like that all of the time.  I make a plan to do this, that and the other thing over the weekend.  Then the weekend arrives and I figure out how I can cut my "plan" back so that I don't have to go to as many places, stay in a store too long or, yes, even leave the house at all.

I used to be really good at doing one small errand each night after work M-Th, and also making sure I did laundry on weeknights.  That would allow me to have free time all weekend long, so I could veg as much as I wanted.  Sure, there are plenty of times I don't even have the motivation to shower and I stay in my sweats all day.  If no one sees me, then it doesn't matter, I say.

I think we can all chalk it up to fatigue.  And eating too much sugar, lol.  I still have half of that cake left, btw, but the tub of frosting is getting low, lol.  I have been frosting as I go.  Iceman is lucky that there will be any left for him tomorrow night.  We have a "rendez-vous" scheduled and I can't wait!  Its kinda cute!  LOL  He and I are so comfortable together, I am wondering if I am missing anything.  Its like we've been together for so much longer, and its not even three months yet.

OK, so I got a little crazy earlier and looked up Queen's home phone online.  The address doesn't jive with the area she's in, its more rural, so its not her phone number.  I looked up hospitals and found one that is in her area.  Am I crazy to think about calling there?  I don't know what else to do, and I think that I may be one of the closest people to her on here.  I just don't know.  :(  Anyone with any ideas (GUYS, chime in) please PM me.

Cin, just sent you a pm.  Yes, I've been lazing all day in my sweats.  It's really too cold to go anywhere here anyway.  The high today was lik 5 out. :o  I took a nap.  There are a lot of things I need to do for myself (health wise) that I should be taking care of.  It's just so hard for me to get motivated.  I need to call the diabetes educator and go back in and talk to her.  My sugars have not been good at all lately, which is my own fault.  And I constantly buy more sugar!  Just two days ago, I went to CVS and bought a bunch of Russel Stover candy hearts.  It seems like I just can't break away from the sweets.  You know, I became diabetic when I was in a coma from a bladder infection where the poison leaked into my bloodstream and I became septic.  The feeding they were giving me had an unusually high sugar content in it-so I got "turned into" a diabetic while in the coma.  I didn't follow a diabetic diet for years after that.  I just drank sugar pop, ate what I wanted.  I only drink diet soda now, lots of water.  But when it comes to desserts, I bust.  I need to exercise, I need to eat right, blah blah blah.  At the beginning of last summer when I quit smoking, I got to the point where I was able to quit taking Insulin for the diabetes through diet and exercise.  I need to get to that point again.  Of course, last summer was when my mum's last days started and that was very stressful.  Now, I don't really have an excuse.

Anyway, how did the football games turn out?  Are they over yet?  I don't follow football, so I have no clue.  I watch the Chicago Cubs when baseball season is on.  Anyway, that's my rant for now.  Cin, if/when you find out anything about Queen, please call me.  Yes, I think you are the closest person to her here.

Good morning ladies:I just wonder where everyone's at.  This is getting a little tiring.  I'm up early today. Got up at 7:15.  I wanted to go back to sleep, but I forced myself to get up.  I'm trying to get back into a routine of getting up early/nap in afternoon/getting to bed early at night.  I've just never really been a morning person.  And I have a headache; if that continues, I will be laying back down.

Cin, I never did get into football.  Like I said, I like the Chicago Cubs.  Yeah, I even met Harry Carey, their old announcer.  I don't know if you know anything about them, but the Cubs fans are diehard.  And I am.  Sorry your team lost, though.  And yes, let's keep Paulette and Queen in our prayers.  OK ladies.   Opening up the floor for anyone who would like to comment. ;)

hey ladies,

I really hope Queen is not in trouble... starting to be concerned about her and running all sorts of scenarios.

I wish I could post more... trying not to overdo it. Cin, thanks for the PM. My BF's fine, he was not even sore. amazing. But he was quite stunned. Hope things will be easier for you this week at work.

I am preparing my presentation, which I am dead nervous about so hardly slepy. dunno if I am a perfectionist (doubt it) or just scared of criticism. I have very mixed feeling about my bosses, on one hand want their approval, on the other despise them for not doing their job preoeply and stealing my ideas several times, on the other, I am still very grateful for how the accepted my HIV. though I wonder sometimes if they dared more b/c of it. oh well we'll never know, and sometimes it's better to remain in the dark about shady things.

Betty, sorry things are "off"... maybe you should go to a meeting, I know you really enjoy it. It will bring you closer to "you". Have you ever listened to that AA radio, someone posted a link to it, in Milker's thread on Living with. I never realized how many people struggle with addictions, that I am not alone... I guess we're all addicted to one thing or another. Anxiety is addictive too... as well as the internet. Yup...

Speaking of addiction, reminds me of a good read, seeing as you mentioned you like rock star bio's, have you read the one of Anthony Kiedis from the Chilly Peppers, that's a good read.

So yeah, sometimes feeling follow actions. I know it's awfully hard to push one's self to do something when you feel like this.... but getting out of yourself, going for a walk, calling a friend, going to a meeting, jumping in the shower, anything helps break out of the cycle... For better and worse it's (mostly) all in the mind.

Now speaking of action, I had better stop procrastinating and face my dreaded presentation and all the feelings of inferiority and incompetence that working on it brings.

Lots of love to everyone,
"If you keep one foot in yesterday, and one in tomorrow, you piss all over today". Betty Tacy

So good to hear from you Drag!  Hey, you know, you're right about forcing ourselves to do something to break out of a funk.  I tried to get a routine down about a year ago-getting up, getting coffee, reading my morning meditation, watching a little news, exercising, breakfast, etc. etc. etc.  It just got pretty busted up when I went through the whole thing with my mum's death and dying.  I never got back into it.  Actually, Debra posted in her thread in the living with section about her problems with Sustiva.  I've been having a lot of them she's talking about.  However, I'll give it another week and see what's happening then.  Could be a variety of things, from GYN problems to meds.  I hate it when there's no clear-cut answers to medical issues.

About addiction, yes, I think most people are addicted to something.  If it's not drugs or sugar or caffeine, you're right-emotions are easy to get addicted to.  They're like a cycle of things that it seems hard to pull out of.  I guess you have to treat them like any other addiction-admit you're powerless, etc.

Anyway, I should be in the shower, but I had to do my FAFSA before I let things get too far from that.  That's something that had to be done.  I need to do laundry today probably.  My brother is coming over tonight, so that'll be something different.  Anyway, ladies, have a good one. And Drag, good luck with your presentation.

Hello ladies. I am recovering from a very nasty stomach virus. I was so sick I forgot to take my meds Friday night and didn't go to work Saturday or Sunday. Hope I still have a job. I see ya'll have been asking where Queen is. Does anyone know if she is okay?          No getting laid for me, at least not while I feel like this. I do have a date Saturday night but I think I am going to back out. since he's negative I wouldn't be getting any anyway.      Moonlight, you got the name of my Dragon. It is from "Kill Em All" Metallica's first album. I love the name and sometimes use it for my Virus too. I have a couple other dragons to name but am kinda losing interest cause nobody else is playing and I have them all except one. I will write more when I feel better. Cristy

Cristy, sorry to hear about your stomach crap, but glad you checked in.  No, no one has heard from Queen.  Cin even made a couple calls with no results.  I have a question for you-why wouldn't you have a chance of getting laid going out with a negative guy?  There are things that can be done to prevent passing the virus.  How long have you been poz?  Just wondering.

Thanks Betty. I have been diagnosed since September 2004 and believe I  caught this in March of 2004.    I guess I am just nervous about the date with the guy. I know how to protect myself and prevent transmission, I think that is just an excuse for me not to go.  Cause it is a first date, he wouldn't be getting any anyway.      Dragonette, glad to hear from you and really glad your BF is okay.     ML, glad you will be seeing Iceman soon. Don't overdo it on the cake, girl. Save him some.              Hope queen and Paulette are okay. I will have to read up and see what is going on. Later, ladies. Cristy

Hi GFs~

Iceman is here, it has been an incredible evening, lots of laughs and cuddles and.... :D  Drag, best of luck on your presentation, you're like me, we both over-analize too much, but imagine if we didn't?  How boring that would be....

Cristy, feel better and make sure to hydrate yourself as best as you can.  I am hoping that you feel better soon!

BT~  GF, if I were you, I would lay down whenever I felt like it!  LOL  You can always try again tomorrow (to get into a routine), esp if you have a headache.  When you have the energy you will be doing exactly what you want to do.  If you feel crappy, make sure to pamper yourself.

No word on Queen, dammit, and I did some detective stuff last night, too, as best as I could.  I am beginning to lose hope here and I am very worried.  :(

Iceman is here, so I am off to be cuddled some more.

Good evening ladies:

Cristy, I understand he wouldn't have gotten any on the first date, but why don't you want to just go and see if you have a good time?  That alone would seem worth it to me.  Me thinks you're shy.

Cin, I don't know what to say about Queen.  I just hope she'll be checking back in soon.  Glad Iceman's over.  I know you were going through withdrawals. ;)

I really don't have anything new to report.  Just checking in to see what's going on with people.  It's getting late and I'll probably be going to bed soon (I hope).  Sometimes I get sidetracked doing something else.  I had a chocolate muffin tonight, so I'm sure my sugar's probably off.  I'll be checking it in a little while.  I've also got an e-mail in to my doctor about switching the Sustiva for something else.  Will keep everyone updated.  Have a good evening ladies-

Hi Grrlz

Here I am after another sleepless night, tonight I'll take a tranquilizer. I rarely take them, b/c when I was in my late teens I reallly over abused them, I got to a point of taking 20-30 a day, mixed with other stuff - so now I take them like a couple times a year (and only 1 at a time, right). But this will be one of those times. Luckily my presentation is at 16.00; one time I did that & when I presented early next morning I was slurring my words like a drunk, but it was in a big symposium kind of thing with everyone else worried about their own performance, this time all eyes on me though... I know this is nothing at all, but a kind of phobia I have. I've done this before lots of times though. Damn i wish I could smoke. I was going to yesterday but my BF said, you know it would taste awful right, and then I recalled how horrible cigarettes are when you quit after a while, so that's not even an outlet... Fuckit.

Anyway, Cristy, yesterday I logged off realizing I forgot to ask about your date. I now see it's been postponed. They can't fire you over a stomach virus! Surely all other reasons aside you would have infected the clients with it, I can't beleive your employers will be so heartless, at least, I want not to beleive that.

Cindy, I am very concerned about Queen and I think maybe Peter Staley would have her contact details? Though I doubt he would give it to us. You stand a better chance than I do though... If you know her details send them over, maybe I can get her number somehow. I am thinking in 2-3 directions really, but I don't want to write them here. Then I hope she'll just reappear and say that she needed a break.

Betty, is school on break now? Haven't heard you mention it in a while.

Oh yeah, speaking of transmission, last week I saw my doc (CD4-350, VL unknown btw), and he said that he thinks that so much evidence is accumulating, that soon poz women who are on HAART and undetectable will not be using condoms with their partners at all. Seriously, the other week there was even an article in Yahoo about that: http://health.yahoo.com/news/healthday/antiretroviraldrugsmaypreventvaginaltransmissionofhiv.html

Isn't that amazing?! so I am not saying we can ditch the condoms, I haven't anyway, but I think we can definatly date neg guys without a worry, seriously. I have never heard - of course this is anecdotal right, but still - never ever heard of a poz woman on treatment infecting a man. That's why when me & the BF had the condom slip, they didn't want to give him PEP, the doc said the risk was just too low. In the comic book "Blue pills", which is a story about a neg guy falling in love with a poz woman, in Switzerland, true story about the author, he quotes the doctor as saying he has bigger chances of being hit by a white rhinoceros than being infected by the woman when their condom breaks. I didn't know this book untila  week ago but someone mentioned it so I googled it: "During a moment of lovemaking, Frederik's condom breaks, and the two spend a night awake, worrying about the consequences. They visit a reassuring doctor the next day who tells Frederik that given the "weak concentration" of HIV in Cati's blood, "you have as much chance of catching AIDS as you have of running into a white rhinoceros on your way out!" "

http://www.calendarlive.com/books/cl-bk-terzian20jan20,0,204486.story?track=rss

They don't tell us that, they they just terriffy us, but now finally there are messages coming from the media that don't clump women with men anymore insofar as transmission risk is concerned. I remeber how shocked I was when they doctors in Israel told me they have one heter couple in which the neg guy doesn't wear a condom b/c he is not scared. I couldn't understand how that happens, but now I see why they were so calm about it. It's like they know the truth but don't really try to get it out there, or what doctors privetly acknowledge (like my own doc last week), the big orgs and government agencies don't want to let the general public know, b/c they truth is too complex. Men probabaly would use even less condoms thatn they do now, I know a lot of guys are scared to death of catching HIV from women, ironically the way to keep women safe is get the men to be scared about their own ass. So we pay the price of stigmatization. That's how Im starting to see it.

OK I somehow wrote more than the usual dating stuff... I'd love to know what you ladies think of this.

Hope everyone is well. Its been a while since Camms & Wendy, Confused, Afraid & others have visited too.
Hugs,

The only contact detail we have for Queen is her email address and no, we couldn't divulge that information without her permission. However, I will send her an email myself, because I'm also concerned about her. I'll let you know if she responds, but I have a feeling something's happened to her internet connection. I seem to remember her saying that her roommate would post if she was in hospital, but I might be thinking of someone else.

Just a quick FYI, Cin called the two hospitals that are close to where Queen lives and she's not in either of them.  OK, now, good morning ladies.

Drag, there is very little risk of a poz woman giving the virus to a man, especially if her viral load is low.  There's been some talk about it on here for some time.  In my last two relationships (with men) they wouldn't wear condoms.  And both subsequently tested negative.  Again & again.  So, like you said, we probably need to worry more about what we could catch from them.

Anyway, school is in session.  This eight weeks I'm taking Social Psychology and Ethics.  My social psych class has not met yet, because the teacher hasn't been available.  The whole thing is just really bizarre.  So yesterday, we (all her students) get an e-mail saying that she is not going to be able to teach the class and that the dean is going to replace her.  So, there's been two weeks of not having any class, and now she's going to be replaced.  There's a scheduling conflict.  It's all very frustrating.  We've already done two assignments for that class; I hope we get credit for them.  The ethics class is a really good one.  It's a philosophy class, and I like philosophy classes.  Probably because there's really no cut-and-dried answer to those.  One just has to argue a really good point.  Thursday we'll be having an exam that I still have to study for.  It's taking me awhile to get back into the swing of these classes; having three weeks off was really nice, but it always takes me awhile to get settled back in.

Other than that, really nothing new to report.  Hoping Queen is doing alright.  Maybe like Ann said, she is having trouble with her internet connection.  I hope that's all it is.  Have a good one ladies.

Personally, my take on a positive, undetectable woman transmitting the virus to a negative man through vaginal intercourse is that it would be near as damn-it to impossible as you could get. I would still advocate condom use during the monthlies though.

Betty, you are a sweetheart. Yes, I am a bit shy.  I never got into the dating scene much and now it has gotten worse but I'm going, I'm going. I talked to him last night and it's on for Saturday night.         Sorry to hear about your teacher being replaced. Maybe the Dean will do a better job anyway. I know you will do great in all your classes.                                                                   Dragonette, You will do great on your presentation. If you are worried about being groggy, just take half of one and maybe that will take the edge off enough so you can sleep.                                                            Ml, glad Iceman came over. Hopefully the reason we haven't heard from Queen is because her internet service is down. Or she might just be taking a break. It has been several days , right. Maybe she will check in soon.      Hope everyone is okay and staying warm. We are supposed to get freezing rain but it  hasn't happened yet.       Cristy

OK, for the record-Cindy (Moonlight) has sent Michelle (Queen) a few text messages and has heard nothing back.  So, Ann, I hope you can reach her.  I think you might be right about her internet service though; maybe it's out right now.  Strange she wouldn't go get on another computer somewhere and log in just to let everyone know she's alright.

Cristy, I'm so glad you're going to go out with that guy!  Now I can't wait to hear about everything that happens (yes, we need details missy). ;)

Wishful, I had my tubes tied back in '90.  I don't know anything about getting it reversed.  How much will it cost you?  I don't think insurance covers it.  Can you afford another child?  Those would be my two questions: 1)Can you afford to have another child and raise it; & 2)how much does the sugery cost to reverse it?  If it's all good, then, hey, do it.  Right before I had my tubal reversed, I found out I was pregnant.  Back in those days, they didn't have the knowledge about HIV & pregnancy that they do now, so I had an abortion.  I just couldn't think about having an AIDS baby.  But, they know so much more now about how to keep the baby negative etc.  I think it's a very personal choice and there's really no right or wrong-there's a grey area there.  Just my opinion.  Glad you have found the guy for you though.  You go girl!

OK, gonna check a couple other threads, take a shower and study.  My heart & head just aren't in school right now.  I feel like I need another three weeks off.  :D

Hey Everybody,

Dragonette-- I posted this over in the other thread where you posted the link to that article, but thought I'd post here too !!  The link Ann sent was a good one for this discussion, but just briefly:

I read the article you posted. While I am optimistic about female to male transmission risks -- I think this article is more geared towards protecting women from becoming HIV positive.

Take a look at this link:

http://www.biologynews.net/archives/2008/01/15/existing_antiretroviral_drugs_may_thwart_vaginal_hiv_transmission_researchers_report.html

It references the same study, but goes on to say:

"“There are 33 million people infected with HIV. This study is a highly significant breakthrough because it offers proof-of-principle that pre-exposure prophylaxis with currently available anti-retroviral drugs can potentially prevent vaginal HIV transmission, empowering women throughout the world to protect themselves from this deadly disease,” Dr. Garcia said.

“More women are being infected by HIV now than at any other time during the history of the AIDS epidemic,” Dr. Garcia said. “Over 15 million women worldwide are infected. Our findings should provide further impetus to continue clinical trials using oral anti-retroviral drugs as a preventive measure, particularly in areas with the highest rates of HIV infection.”
"

I think what they are saying as that women might one day have the ability to protect themselves from an HIV infection by treating themselves with anti-viral medications before and after a possible exposure --  so if their partner refuses condoms they can take some control.

That being said, I am hopeful that one day we will find that women with undetectable viral loads are not able to transmit HIV -- but we are not there today. The model that my doctor and a researcher I have spoken with for looking at female transmission of HIV is the model of an HIV Positive woman delivering a baby. The researcher I spoke with told me that as they become more confident that women with undetectable viral loads do not transmit HIV to their babies during delivery, they also become more confident that HIV is less likely to be transmitted sexually when undetectable.

For me personally, I know I could not live with the outcome if my boyfriend became HIV positive. So for me, it's just not an option unless more research is done.

Best to all of you -- and Dragonette, thanks for the article -- very interesting !!

And I hope that Queen is doing OK -- I was wondering if maybe her internet connection was down --

:)

LOL I know it could be legally done for sure.
I meant the emotion involved in bringing a baby into the world, loving, nurturing and raising it, then when and if your relationship doesn't work out giving that child away to a person you most likely do not like anymore.

Hi Ladies

I AM REALLY STARTING TO GET WORRIED ABOUT QUEEN.  SHE BETTER HAVE A GOOD EXCUSE LIKE A KNIGHT AND SHINING ARMOR CAME AND SHOWERED HER WITH ROSE PEDALS AND TOOK HER TO A BEAUTIFUL TROPICAL ISLAND AND IS SLITHERING ALL OVER HER WITH HOT MASSAGE OIL.  Oh wait I think this is my fantasy.  But i think you get my point.

Well, this week has been crazy.  Cleaning out my second bedroom to make room for my new roommate.  Yesterday went and saw 27 dresses and had dinner with the Latin Lover.  After seeing the movie I was very depressed.  Made me wonder if I will ever find love and get married.  I don't want to be walking down the aisle at 80 years old.  I think that I got really emotional because I got in a fight with my sister the day before.  A friend of mine who lives down south who I met on this site said he had a friend that he wanted me to meet.  He is + and also in the same line of work as me and lives 20 minutes from me.  I told my sister this and she went home and told her boyfriend of 7 years.  I did not mind that she told him that, the part that I minded was that my sister felt the need to call and tell me how her boyfriend knows this person and over his dead body should I go out with this guy.  I asked why and he said because he use to hang out with him 7-8 years ago and one night when they were out this guy left my sisters boyfriend at club and my sisters boyfriend had to find a ride home.   She further went on to say that this guy also got involved in my sisters boyfriend relationship at the time he was with this other girl.  She went on to say that her boyfriend is a very good judge of character and this guy is trouble and he had a bad feeling about my last two boyfriends and she really trusts his opinion.  But then she saved the best for last, she told my that I would not be able to see my niece and nephew if this guy was around because they don't trust him.  So I called this guy and asked him if he knew my sisters boyfriend and he said yeah, that he was a nice guy.  He then proceeded to tell me that he felt bad that he kind of got involved with my sisters boyfriend and his relationship at the time.  He said that the girlfriend kept asking him if my sisters boyfriend was cheating on her and he felt like he was  caught in the middle.  So I was really pissed at my sister.  I have not even met this guy yet, and what my sister does not understand is that was 7 years ago, people change, especially after becoming +.  If my sisters boyfriend is such a good judge of character maybe he could use it to get a job and support his two kids, since he has not had one in 5 years.  Well, I have a date with this guy on Monday and not sure how things are going to go for a number reasons.  On the few times that I have talked with him he seems a little immature, but it could be that he was really nervous since he has not dated anyone in two years since finding out his status.  My other issue is that mostly everyone at his work knows he is + since he thinks that he got it while at work and I know alot of these people so is my " dirty little secret" going to come out?

On another note, I started freaking out last night after reading some of the other forums and I read that someone had posted that they had become resistance to his/her meds.  So due to being stressed out I freaked out and went and got my blood drawn today.  I think that I am turning into a worry wort.

Good evening ladies:

Sara, what I should have clarified is that Ann said something about Queen's internet connection in her earlier post.  I guess I wasn't really making myself clear.

Sun, I don't know what to say about the guy you're going to go out with.  Is he a cop?  And he claims to have gotten the virus from his work?  Hmmmm, I don't know that I necessarily trust that.  Maybe I'm reading too much into it.  As far as your sister's boyfriend, it's really easy for someone who's sitting on his ass every day to dictate what the rest of the world should be doing. (And I'm saying that because you mentioned him not having a job).  I would be worried about having my kids around him. What does he do all day?   I don't know how long you have been infected, but if it's recent, your behavior is really quite normal and typical.  I remember when I tested poz I used to worry quite a bit.  Of course, that was '89 and people actually were dropping over dead.  Not all the new meds and information they have now.  I would try to get information about things if I were you.  And go to a support group.  That may help.

OK ladies, I'm just in from school.  I'm going to check a few threads and return a couple calls.  Have a good one-

Hi GFs~

Where in the F*** is Queen?  Just to let you all know, I have her old address and know she only moved up the street or somewhere close when she got the new place with her roomie, so she's most def in the same town.  Also, I know her last name, I have her Yahoo Messenger ID, her personal email address AND her cell number.

I have used this info to check on her and don't know what else to do.  I am calling her directly right now, which I have never done because oh her hearing loss.......

Shit.  The cell phone rang about eight times and then went to a busy signal.  No voice mail, no nothing.  Why in the hell would she have both services cut off at once?  Actually, it does make me feel a little better that her cell seems to be "cut-off."  Maybe there WAS a snafu with a bill, and maybe the internet connection is through the same service as her cell?  Is that even possible?

I had my nerv test done today, it was funny.  When they zapped my right foot, my left leg kicked out, like when the doc taps your knee to check your reflexes.  When they zapped my left foot, both of my arms raised up at my sides, like I was a bird flapping my wings.  At least everything is still connected.  LOL  I'll have more definitive results soon, after the doc reviews the test.

I am going to the Health Dept tomorrow to see a nutritionist again.  I know A LOT about diet, being a diabetic, but I have been struggling with fatigue.  I just feel that I need a refresher course on nutrition.

Also, when I spoke with my Case Mgr today I asked about seeing the Health Dept docs for my HIV, and they are affiliated with Johns Hopkins.  Other people in my support group see them and they say the docs take 45 minutes with you!  Yay!  My current doctor isn't giving me the comprehensive treatment that I feel I need, with all that I have going on.  Whenever something happens to me, I wonder if its HIV, diabetes, fibromyalgia, stress, diet......I need someone who will look at the entire picture, cause I'm not getting any younger.  My Case Mgr said that I would have a $500 deductible to satisfy on my plan because the Health Dept is out-of-network.

I have a PPO so I don't understand, but I will find out more tomorrow.

Cam, good to see you.  Sun, thanks for the link to the time thing, looks like everyone is getting married, lol. Cristy best of luck on your upcoming date, same goes for you, Sun.  Just keep your guard up and protect yourself.  I have to agree with BT, if the guy sitting home on his ass had those things to say, what good is he if he hasn't had a job in five years?  Some things about a person give you much insight into all areas of their life.  Be your own judge.

BT, hows the Chantix?  You're on it right?  Camel Lights are $7.50 a pack here in some places while most other cigs are right around $5.00!  Can you believe it?  Good luck in class on Thursday.

I am going to go eat.  I have to get to bed early, be AT WORK at 6am in order to get my 8 hours in before going to the nutritionist.  Or, I could go in at my regular time but not get paid for a full day.  I will try to get up at the crack of the crack.

Stay safe and warm.  Yes, I feel a little better about Queen, since her cell seems to be kaput as well.

Good evening ladies:

Cin, thanks for checking on Queen.  If you haven't posted yet in the MIA link in off topic, I'll report that you tried to get ahold of her and couldn't and about her phone. Thanks for doing that.  You know, I am making an appointment tomorrow to see the diabetes educator here.   She knows quite a bit about nutrition, and I need a refresher course as well.  I hope everything works out for you seeing those new doctors.  Having a good doctor that you feel confident in is so important.  Also, I'm glad to hear your body is still functioning as one unit. :D  Please let us know how those tests come out.  Yes, I'm still on the Chantix.  Here in northcentral Hoosierville, they're getting ready to zap a $2/pack tax on smokes, which will raise them up to $7/pack here.  Wow.  Glad I quit when I did.

OK ladies, I'm off to check out some more threads.  I have that exam tomorrow in Ethics, so wish me luck.  Have a good one-

Hi everyone! Just checking in. It is totally raining here and will the rest of the week.... :'( i guess no one has heard from Queen yet.

Cindy, maybe you could mail a letter to her old address and it might get forwarded to the new one. At least then if all her communication has been cut she might be able to respond to "snail mail". Just an idea

Good idea, Viv, but I think I tossed her old address.  I used to have it on a piece of paper here by the computer.  I even looked her up on superpages.com in case the new house phone was in her name, but no-go.  :(

Crappity-crap.

BT, I copied and pasted some of the same info above in the "Has anyone heard from Queen?"  thread, in order to *bump* it, but please update the MIA thread if you haven't already.

You know she's probably smoking a doobie and playing Resident Evil since she has no cable, Internet or cell.  I am praying that I am right on that one.

Dammit, Queen.  Get on the bus and go to the library and sign in to these Forums!  LOL

Hi all

my presentation went great. I coouldnt sleep though and had to take another Loerzepam. don't worry I wont be taking anymore. i didnt sleep b/c of the issue with my bosses stealing my ideas and capitlaizing on them. it's an ongoing problem and I am sick of it.
Silly huh. I was angry at myself for taking another pill. i got up really late today too, It's almost 14.00 and haven't worked yet. I have a party tonight so I will have to leave before ths shops close and do my heair etc...

strange about Queen, I dont know what to think. after a couple days, I am sure she realizes people are worried about her. Its not like her not to log on. Of course, she is on the down low and maybe is uncomfortable logging on to aidsmeds froma friend's or a public library. i know i never dare to log on from an internet cafe... maybe that's why.

Cindy, I don't know how you can be so disciplined with food. I forgot to take my HAART yesterday, I missed a whole dose, I am really pissed with myself for it. If I had anything else on top, monitoring all these levels. That's like an extra job. You guys are so admirable.

Tendai - I know you posted on the other thread but I write here anyway cos I know you're reading. What's the rush girl? You're still young, it's not like you'll become infertile if you wait. It's so great that you guys are in love and wanting to have a baby, but I think it's a little premature... let alone considering the situation in Zimbabwe, but I am not even talking about now. There is a minimal level of security you need to reach... I am really really so happy for you, I can't tell you how much. And I want you to retain that happiness...

OK I guess I'd better spill the beans... me & my BF have started what he calls "operation fertilization", but only a few times this month. we didn't calculate the cycle or anything, we just did it whenever we had sex anyway. I know...who am I to talk about security right... I am dead nervous, and maybe b/c of that I think whoa what's the rush (because we do it after 1.5 years together and I still feel rushed; I want it so much, but I am equally scared). I should not take tranquilizers if I am pregnant, but I have no idea if I am or not. I think I shouldn't even take Paracetamol. But I did take 1 and 2 tranquilizers in the past week, from all the stress at work, and I hate myself for it. I will know next month if I am I guess. Though it could take years too... We are going to Israel in 2 weeks time, I will give him the "hollly land" tour. I am so excited about that, Israel is a huge mess but very interesting. Even for me...

Oh guess what, you'd never beleive, this Wed I run into my ex, the guy who dumped me for being poz, at the supermarket. I just said hi, he was leaving and I was entering. Then he send me at email to work today. He wants to talk. He said it was a "friendly email". Ugh. I don't hate him or anything, but he dumped me and humiliated me at the lowest time of my life. I am very glad he did, don't get me wrong. we were just supposed to move in together, it was one of these fast paced relatioships, and after 6 weeks he had gotten an apartment and we were scheduled to move in there when I got back from Christmas holidays at home. I got tested poz 3 days before my return flight. I still flew back a week later and he wouldn't talk to me, I was so alone, no friends, didn't dare showing up at work, no immune system, living in some shithole sleeping on the floor, walking everywhere is freezing cold, and he wouldn't say anything to me. Oh yeah he did show up a couple times to fool around with me and see how far he could go sexually before he became disgusted and run away. And I was too far gone to think of stopping it. I had no dignity, I was just this shocked shell of a person.

Eugh, just recalling all this... and then, he wanted me to pay him 250 Euro b/c he wouldn't get tested at the hospital for fear of meeting people he knows, so he went to a private clinic! He did suffer a lot though, lost a lot of weight and stuff. He was like one of those worried wells. I kind of understand the fear and horror, but he just wouldn't get any information, no matter how many times the doctor spoke with him to tell him that he is 0 risk (cos we never didn't use a condom); no matter what info I sent him, he barricaded himself in ignorance and fear.

(shudder)

OK lovely ladies, hope you have a good day. I better get some work done... Love ya

Good morning ladies:

Cin, I know how hard it is to keep blood sugar under control.  I haven't been diabetic for as long as you have.  I've only had it for like the past 10 or 12 years.  But it's pretty bad.  I've been on Insulin from the start.  And it really wasn't until three years ago that I even started trying to eat right and drinking diet soda.  Before that, I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted and drank regular soda.  So, don't feel alone about your blood sugar being so high.  Sometimes mine get that high, especially if I eat some sweets before going to bed.  It can be hard at times.  Thanks for doing all the checking on Queen.  I'm sure when she can she'll be back.  I just wish it was sooner rather than later.

Drag, wow.  So you're trying to get pregnant, eh?  Here's wishing you good luck. :-*   I know you'll make a wonderful mommy.  As for that ex, don't even talk to him.  Excuse me, but fuck him.  If he treated me like that, I wouldn't even give him the time of day.  Seriously.  Put yourself first in this matter, please.

We got a whole s*** load of snow again last night.  And the temp is only 10.  Yuck!  I really don't have anywhere to go until school tonight. The high today is only supposed to be 19.  I'm shivering sitting here just thinking about it.  Other than that, nothing new to report.  Have a good one ladies-

I was walking the dog way at the back of my court and Iceman called me on the cell, which I usually don't hear ringing.  Next thing I know he is walking around the corner in the freezing cold, he drove all the way over to say "Hi!"

Sorry so short, I am exhausted but got a request from Ann to send all of Queen's info to her so that they can help look into whatever is going on.

Em, if you read this, please forward Queen's new address to Peter and Ann.  I have the old address at house number "111."

Thanks!
