emeraldize your name offers seems most promising atm.

which one, pray tell?

glad you didn't leave. don't be too concerned about the foot in mouth tendency. when English is not your first language it is terribly easy to do! And, if you lived here, you would soon learn that even when it is one's first language, people sometimes jam both feet in!!

BTW, better than spit had me giggling too.

Hey i came up with a name on random name generator "Aquaires
" what do u think?

My initial and secondary responses include:

Makes me think of water and air and no connection to the product itself. If you say it aloud A Qwares, it sounds quite close to A Queer's, which doesn't bode well for its success from a branding perspective. The next closest word it sounds like is Awkward. And, as a product name it is slightly awk"word".  Plus, some folks will speed-read it and think it's Aquarius and possibly dismiss it as a retro-hippy product. Aquaires also sounds like it could be packets of expensive women's moisturizing lotion.

I think your human generators beat the robo-random generator.

What do U think?

Gspot sounds catchy

Well, I have to disagree. It sounds dated and sounds as if it's a product for women.

Think about the basics. Who is your target audience? Men? Women? Men and Women? Gays? Straights? Gays and Straights?  And, where are they? One continent? or The World? How will you reach them? and on and on

Look at your competition. Take good old reliable KY Jelly. What a surprisingly simple, not-so-sexy name and yet they are successful. No pun intended they had a big head start. In fact, they have done much recently to repackage and rebrand themselves precisely because they have more competition. Go look them up.

Use a focus group. Eventually, you will get to a point where you'll narrow to a few names or a name. Then you want to solicit input in the form of reactions to its package, its name, its literal feel, its scent or non-scent, its taste or non-taste and on and on.

Just a couple of thoughts. Oh, btw, thanks for the compliment re: name brand analysis.

cute, David.

Well, Iwanna, Igotta stop now. No, you need not apologize. Any time I contributed here I did willingly knowing full well I was procrastinating about something else.

I hope you realize you need lots of input and knowledge (in addition to the money) to develop and bring a product to market. It's not easy and it's not child's play.

Millions of products fail for lack of the intense advance work that's required. If you do your research properly, you might find a gaping hole ( oops, no pun intended) in the marketplace of lubricants waiting to be filled. Seriously. You might actually learn that your idea is off the mark and then find another one in the process.

You have to conduct research. Get some books. Pay for some advice. Otherwise, again no pun intended (I'm white-lying for the second time) you are shooting blanks from an AK47 in the world of product marketing and would-be buyers.

Best of luck to you. Your intentions as stated are honorable. Perhaps you'll have a banner ad on AMG someday!

Em
