Latest numbers
« on: November 15, 2007, 02:20:04 PM »
Normally, I kind of look forward to lab results.  I know it's strange, but I hate not knowing... I think it's the Aquarian in me!  This time, I was apprehensive about the results.  I know it take some people longer than others to achieve that elusive undetectable status, but knowing that still didn't make me feel like I was  progressing as quickly as I should ... or as quickly as I'd like, more accurately.  Anyway, I got my numbers today, and, although not as much of a change as I'd like, I'm not going to bitch.

Here they are, along with the previous lab's results:
   11-06-07 CD4 570 (30.0%) VL 140
   08-03-07 CD4 509 (31.8%) VL 370

There obviously wasn't much change in the CD4's, but the fact that I was getting a cold a couple of days prior to having blood drawn may have had something to do with that.  The important thing, to me, is that they're improving, and as long as that's happening, I'm happy.  I wonder if the fact that I haven't missed a dose of Atripla is helping.  Surely one of its strong points is its ease of being compliant.  Oh, and I was informed that I could stop the Bactrim.  I just refilled that, so I'll probably taper it down to every other day 'til it's gone.  It's done wonders for my completion, and I'd hate to get all zitty!   ;D

Hi David

I think your numbers are looking good...those precentage are great, just be patient, you are getting there, maybe not as fast as you would like, but getting there all the same...I always thought Aquarians were known for their patience... ;)

Believe me, my ex never let me forget the Aquarian motto.  Now, if I can just get my husband to realize this, along with the fact that we're generally pretty well informed (as in most always correct), I'll be doing good.  I know I must have driven my poor parents crazy with the constant why's and how's when I was a kid!

And Jan, I have no patience for jokes like that!   :D

I know exactly what you mean with that.  In between labs generally I don't think about them but the week before then the couple of weeks after waiting I just want to know!  Congratulations on the good results as well by the way.
