3 days of the runs.
« on: November 13, 2007, 05:45:05 PM »
I am on day 3 of feeling like crap (no pun intended).  I have had diarrhea every hour and cant seem to get it to stop.  I am staying hydrated by have no appetite, feel achy, and just feel blah.

I have taken that last two days off of work but I have to go in tomorrow.  Any advice on how to get it to stop (or slow down).  I have been avoiding anti diarrhea drugs so I can flush out whatever bug I got but that wont be enjoyable at work.

Thanks in advance
Pete

Pete,

You can't "flush out" the bug by allowing diarrhoea to continue unchecked. All this will do is leave you ill and dehydrated. Take the anti-poop pills.

Try eating brown rice and take fiber... it helped me... if it continues you need to check with your doctor... It could be your meds and it could be parasitic... also I eat yogurt... make sure it has acidolphilis... live active yeast... in the yogurt.

Should also try some yogurt or other quality probiotic products, on a daily basis. If your drinking alchohol , you should lay off of it for a while. Either way, you should still see a doctor. Make sure to drink plenty of fluids to replenish those lost.

Bananas and yogurt work better (and faster) for me than Imodeum.  I haven't tried Philly's popper regimen yet, though.  Good luck.
