World cup final here we come!
« on: October 14, 2007, 09:14:51 AM »
England made it to the rugby union world cup final yesterday by beating France in Paris.  It doesn't get much better than that apart from maybe winning the world cup against Australia in Sydney.......oh wait, we've done that as well!  ;) It was a real nail biting game though my nerves can't take much more of this!

OMG, England actually have a chance at winning something twice in the same century.  :D

Now, that would be a first.

(ps. I note that we pipped the Kiwis in the League on the weekend 58-0. I thought/was hoping they were a better team than that)

Be forgiving, be grateful, be optimistic

It would be a first Steve I'm not complaining though!  I think it might be one step too far next week unfortunately.  But if you'd told me after the 36-0 hammering we took against SA in the group stages that we'd end up in the final I would never have believed you!  I had a great day on Saturday though Cricket in the morning (let's not mention the result), then England's football team won 3-0, Super League Grand Final (St Helens took a hammering haha) then the Rugby union in the evening.  Everything got a bit hazy after that though haha.
