365 days and still ticking...
« on: October 31, 2007, 03:29:19 AM »
Well its been 1 year today since I was diagnosed and it has been without a doubt the roughest year of my life....

I still have my moments of stress, depression, and sadness but for the most part I'm dealing with it and have realized that everything will be OK. To be honest I think school, work, worrying about my future and other issues in my life are bugging me more than HIV recently...

I just want to thank EVERYONE who has given me support, insight, and advice which has helped me survive because I probably couldn't have done it without the help of this website, and I'm grateful too have been able to meet some of you in person..

Well I have a Dr's appointment and dentist appoinment to get my labs done at 8am today (its 3:20am) and I'm unable to sleep so I'm probably going to reschedule (no need to make October 31 a total drag). I'm not going to celebrate a year of being diagnosed but I will get totally shitfaced half naked and celebrate halloween as I do every year :-D

Just babbling and waiting for the "Valerian Root" Debra reccomended to kick in (its not working)

Happy halloween!  Glad things are looking up for you now (HIV wise).  Concentrate on your studies!!!!  That's your ticket to a more secure (and well insured) future.

Hey Josh,

I don't celebrate my diagnosis either.  And I can empathize on the working, and going to school.  I am doing both (just started working part-time a couple weeks ago).  I attend school full-time, so I know it's hard.  There are sometimes I would just love to quit, but I know what I'm capable of doing, so I make a decision daily to stick it out.  Just hang in there!

Josh I am right behind you, it will be one year for me this coming November. Along with it being my 40th birthday it will also be my HIV b-day two days after
Meds doing well so far.

Josh.....

I'm glad you're more worried about your studies and work because I just know all that will work out for you.  HIV is just a nagging reminder that nothing is ever easy but it helps keep you focused on what you can do.

robert...who has a not-so-nagging feeling that Josh is going to do some great things....
