Talk about growing old..ha..
Never did I think id last this long.
My lover died in 1992 and she was first diagnosed in 1986..
She died at the age of 39...
I thought I would die the same age as her...
I was crossing a busy NYC street and got hit by a car.
I got a huge settlement,...yes i settled cuz I didn't think
I had time to sit around a few more years and wait for my money..
Ha.
If i knew than what I know now..I would invested my money..
Instead I spent it like there was no tomorrow..
I went to Disneyland, the Bahamas, Arizona, bought my sister a new car,
Gave my nieces and nephews a 1000,00 dollars each for college,
and now Iam having financial problems..
Hey ..Who in the hell thought then that they could live another 20 yrs with Hiv..
Not I..that's for sure.. :o

LOL, I still live like there is no tomorrow. I do not see money as a thing to be invested, I see it for spending on adventures while i can still get away with it. Lets face it, will I be climbing volcanoes in Vanuatu when I'm 70? As long as I have my memories in my old age of what I did do, I don't care if I sit in a nursing home penniless. If I got sick today I would never say to myself I wasted my life.

I'm with you hudstar. I spend  every dime on what I want NOW. New home 4 years ago, new truck, trips and more trips. If I want it I get it. Sure I have to work my ass off, but what the hell, who knows what tomorrow holds for me. I could live another 40 years or stroke out tonight. I'm going to enjoy life, have fun, and have many memories...

Its never too late to start. (Saving money that is).  The stock market is volitile right now but invest in foreign stock funds...China is going to be bigger than shit.

Yes, Bear, but first I have to have extra money to invest! :D

Well, never too late to save if you're well enough to work, and can earn beyond your medical costs. Just saying.

If you've got money...Most people should not invest in the [US] stock markets...nor in foreign markets (I have done all of the above over 20 years). Made money in Japan, lost money in Japan. Made money with Worldcom for G-d's sake! No place is the right place if you buy at too high a price, or sell too late. I wouldn't take any stock advice beyond the first part of the next opening session. The markets are cyclical ("What goes up must come down...") The markets are always volitile, everywhere (That's how I make profit). Not for the faint-hearted, nor the Sunday Investor.  Really!
