Health Insurance for HIV+ People
« on: August 22, 2007, 01:39:34 PM »
Hello All,
Newbie to the forum and had a question I'm sure has been asked before.  An HIV+ friend of mine is looking for health insurance.  I know there are companies that will insure us, just don't know who they are (he's looking for an individual policy since he's an independent contractor by profession).  Anyone know where he might look?  I've sent him the Vimo.com link but wondered if there might be others.  Many thanks in advance.

Ask this question @ the link above. I think you will get a better answer there.

Companies offering insurance for HIV+ vary from state to state, and the rules and regulations concerning their policies vary from state to state.   The best thing to do to start would be to contact an AIDS organization in the state in which the individual resides.
