Ok still not on meds and my CD4 rocketed up to 880 at 35% I am still waiting for the VL tests to come back....is this common to leap from 500's to 800's without being on meds.
I'm going on 7 months since being infected.

Hey there, wondered where you'd been!

Yes, it happens and yes, it's not just great, it's fantastic. It means that your body is recovering well from seroconversion and learning how to deal with hiv.

Looking forward to hearing what your VL is. Keep us posted, ok?

And how are you otherwise?

Hugs,
Ann

HIV is certainly character-building. It's made me see all of the shallow things we cling to, like ego and vanity. Of course, I'd rather have a few more T-cells and a little less character. Randy Shilts

When I get the occasional nightsweats, I don't think of it as "being sick", I think of it as my body kicking the virus's ass. I would feel differently (and have it looked into by my doc) if they persisted more that a few nights in a row, but when they happen now and then, it's kick-ass time.

Both the tiredness and the sweating may also have been your body fighting off the throat infection. We all get ordinary colds, flu and infections from time to time. Don't forget that when stuff like this happens, were fighting more than one thing at a time, so tiredness is to be expected.

But the good news is - your numbers are improving and you feel great. Take good care of yourself, exercise, eat right, get enough rest and there's no reason to think you won't continue to improve.

And I'm good, thanks. ;)
