when i was in school, i had an apartment with windows wide enough to stretch your legs and sit in.  it was on the 5th floor.  there was a particular spider that had been menacing me in the apartment for some time, emerging from the ceiling to hang over my head and stare at me in that threatening spider way like they do.  he had a way of just being there  for ages until i took my eyes off of him- then he would suddenly be somewhere else  all of the sudden.  i had had enough and put in a call to the exterminator.

well...the day after the exterminator's visit, and as i was sitting in the window, the carcass of the newly dead spider fell from the ceiling down to the window right by my leg!  i immediately leapt sky high.  thank god i had one foot planted on the floor and only one in the window because it propelled me in the direction of the living room.  otherwise, i would have most likely fallen to my death- over a dead spider.

hence, i say all spiders are potentially deadly to me.

Darling, any illusion of you being a butch, country southern boy has been put to rest. Next thing you know you will be telling us you were involved with the drama department of your high school, performing some ghastly Gilbert and Sullivan number. Stop, before you destroy the last bit of fantasy the mo's around here desperately cling to.

*sigh*  I'm into Day 3 of this now, and I'm becoming one miffy little mo.  Here's the gripelist:

1.  I'm starting to stink.  I haven't been able to do the shower thing since Sunday night, and I am now becoming ripe. I am not amused.  >:(

2.  My facial hair grows really fast, and I already have what most would consider a full-on beard.  >:(

3.  There's almost as much salt as pepper in the beard.  >:(

4.  It seems like nearly everything I need is in another room and/or below waist level.   >:(

5.  Per my usual bi-weekly schedule, I'm developing a slight cough- and it hurts when I do that.   >:(

6.  I never did find that damn spider.   >:(

Jesus Christ Timbie, I'm getting worried, you just described ol' man Nelson who is right across the hall from my mom in the nursing home. Have you stopped solid foods?

Seriously, maybe it's time to visit the doctor? Sorry I can't be more of a help baby.

I've been down this road enough to know that the best that would accomplish would be a high-dose scrip of Ibuprofen.  I already have better pain pills from....well- I just have better, ok?  I know exactly what the problem is & it just needs time to heal up right.  I was just hoping I would have been there by now.  Meantime, you all just get to hear me gripe.

I used to have a gay landlord in Brooklyn who was obsessed with Essence of Man, and every weekend he'd flare up in the biggest heat of manly odor.  It was rather amazing.  I always had my suspicions though that it was greatly enhanced by what I've always called Tina Sweat.  What's worse is I'd use the washing/drying machines in their basement and often pass by a fully crisco'd up butt plug sitting up on the wet bar in the adjoining room.

HA!  Both the beard and the stink are history.  I managed to shave and shower.  I have also gotten laundry in the machine- through careful lifting from toes to hands without bending.

Vanity wins.

So I just threw my back out and had to crawl- yes, crawl- all the way from the kitchen to the bedroom & try to drag myself up onto the bed.  I can't get vertical.  This totally sucks.  I'm prone to having muscle tears in my lower back and they often come out of nowhere.  Today is one of those special days, apparently.  Could be anywhere from a few hours til tomorrow before I can walk normally again.

Damn it.

A good top can usually put me back together again.  My prescription for you: Take two and call me in the morning.
