I think I'm in love!
« on: July 22, 2007, 02:36:59 PM »
I break out into song with no provocation. I found myself singing, "I feel pretty" in the grocery store the other day.

And the subject of my affection? Actually, there are two! Yes, I said two!  :o

One is very colorful, the other somewhat bland. One is rather, well, "small," shall we say. The other is positively HUGE!

One is named Ray. Short for Reyataz. The other is Norvir.

I know, a sappy way to let people know I am doing well with the new meds. But, it did catch your eye, right?

I have had zero side effects from the Reyataz with the Norvir boost. Zip. Nada.

I am in heaven. No food restrictions, no side effects and my mind is finally clearing up!

God/Goddess be praised!

I am so happy I am disgusting, rather like eating too much of something too sweet.

I promise, I'll calm down. But for now, get over it, I'm going to be happy.  ;)

HUGS,

Mark

Hey Roddles,

Yep, I did! Unfortunately, it is growing in places I never expected and disappearing from places I was hoping to see it.

 :o :o :o :o :o

I guess that comes with pending old age?  :) ;)

Mark,

So happy to hear that you are loving your new meds.  I, too, have never had any side effects with the Reyataz/Norvir -- except a slight elevated bilirubin early on -- but it came down and I've never been yellow.

One thing -- when you say "no food restrictions", you do mean that you can eat anything when you take them right -- BUT you do eat something when you take them!  ;-)

I love happy posts.

Hugs,
Mike

Mark, glad to hear this is working out better for you.

I thinkl you were on a PPI? Does that affect your Reyataz dosing?  I'm on Pantoloc (Protonix) for reflux, and I noticed there is a warning about its effect on Reyataz absorption.

Glad to hear it's the meds making you sing in the grocery store instead of the cucumbers in the produce section.

Are you and your meds on the wedding gift registery at Target?

Hey Gang,

Thanks for the well wishes. Imagine, a three-way at my age!  ::)

RAB, you are partially correct. I take Combivir, Reyataz and Norvir. The member you are speaking of is taking Truvada, Reyataz and Norvir. Basically the same, though.

Bocker, yes, I am eating when I take them, or before I take them. Usually breakfast, something like two eggs, waffles (gluten free)  or hash browns, toast (gluten free), a slice of ham, a dish of fresh fruit and orange juice and carrot juice. You know, just a light breakfast.

Northernguy, yes, I was on a PPI. But, the pharmacist and my doc both warned me against taking both the PPI (Protonix) and Reyataz. So, I now take Pepcid at least 10 hours prior to taking my Reyataz. It should be OK, but I'll be watching it closely to make sure.

Oh, and more good news! I have been able to cut back from 12 to only four cups of coffee in the morning. This is a plus because it leaves more room for good things like carrot juice.

HUGS,

Mark
