How To Get Your Pirate On...The Sequel--Pictures Added!
« on: May 25, 2007, 05:46:58 PM »
Well damned if Abbey and I aren't doing it again...dressing up like pirates to see Pirates of the Carribean 3 at 7pm tonight! We're going to a brand-new cineplex in far South Austin.  Last time we planned to sneak in rum but at the last second lost our ride and had to drive ourselves, so no rum.  And I was glad of it, too, because with that many people in there someone would have for sure smelled it!

Hi Crieghton

I'm taking my grandson to see it on Wednesday night...I love the pirate movies and Johnny Depp is wonderful, not to mention very handsome...but we won't be dressing up.

I hope you enjoy the evening and I'm sure you will look dashing dressed up as a swash buckler... ;)

We're going to see it at the drive-in on Sunday night. It comes on after Shrek the Third. $8.00 a head and I can take whatever I want to eat, drink, and smoke with me.
No dress up though!

Well it was GRAND!  We were well received by patrons and staff, they loved our costumes as they did last year.  I even growled "ARRGGG!" to a boy about five and he curled his lip and growled back!

It's a long movie, almost 3 hours, but there's few dull moments.  Something is always about to happen if it's not happening already. Johnny Depp shirtless! Orlando Bloom kissing Keira Knightley's naked leg! Stone crabs, tentacles, the Flying Dutchman sucked into a whirlpool then resurfacing, the Black Pearl sailing through a massive sand dune, there was so much to see!

One of the greatest things is that you get to see pirates from all over the world. Chow Yun Fat was excellent.  The costumes were incredible...I smell a pirate Hallowe'en coming up!
