HIV Prevention and Testing > Am I Infected?

mutual masturbation

(1/1)

joe099:
hello all,

I visited a sex worker back in May 10th and I am worried that I might get infected. First she gave me a blow job (without condom) for about 2 minutes and then we had protected vaginal sex for another 5-10 minutes. She then gave me a handjob with condom on. I felt uncomfortable with the comdon on so I asked her to take it off and keep going with the handjob. I am pretty sure that her hand had some amount of vaginal fluid.

Is it possible that the vaginal fluid on her hand touched the tip of my penis and got inside my body? I remember that my penis was slightly sore from having a masturbation 2-3 days earlier. I am also worried about the blow job she gave me because of the sore on the tip of my penis. Is there a risk for getting HIV? Should I get tested??? Please help, I am worried and can't stop thinking about this incident.

If I decide to get tested, is this a good time to do so? It has been 6 weeks since the beginning of this incident. I did some research on the internet, some says should wait 3 months, other says 4-6 months, I am confused.  Any advice would be greatly appreciate, thanks!!

Joe, mutual masturbation is not a risk for HIV infection. Since you had protected vaginal sex, I cannot see anything in what you report that should make you worry about HIV. So you really don't need to test for HIV as a result of this.

Nevertheless, sexually active people should have a full STD checkup (which would include a test for HIV) once or twice a year. If it's been a while since you last had a checkup or if you've never had one, it would be wise for you to do so.

Please read our Welcome Thread.

Matty, thank you for the speedy reply. But the thing bothers me the most is that the tip of my penis was slightly sore. Isn't it true that in theory if the vaginal fluid touches the sore area, i might get infected. Thank you once again!

Nope, Joe it ain't true in in theory or in practice. HIV is a particularly fussy virus that requires particular circumstances to be transmitted. Mutual masturbation just doesn't make the grade.
