??? Where have I been?
« on: May 03, 2007, 09:46:22 PM »
Hi all:

I haven't written in a while, and many of you have sent me PMs: THANK YOU! :)

After I was taken off meds, I came back 6 weeks later, replacing AZT with DDI. The morning before I went to have some labs done and the results were

Dec 2006: CD4 432 VL:Undetect (taking SUStiva+combivir)
February: Stopped meds
April: Back to meds. cd 416 VL undetectable (without meds!!!!)

So, I came back to meds. However, muscle pain came back 4 days later, just like before. I wanna try to change Sustiva for something else, but My doc is out of town for like a month or so.

Anyway, I am coping with the pain again. I am happy with the dosing (once a day).

On the other front, the guy I fell in love with , and to whom I said goodbye in Buenos Aires called me one week ago. He calls as a friend, but I do not know If I am strong enough to see him again just as a friend.

Well, that 's it

Hi there,

those are good results. I'm a bit confused why you got back on meds with the 416/undetectable numbers? I'm not familiar with meds, so excuse my ignorance, but I'd be interested to know what was behind the decision of stopping for 2 months?

I'm sorry I don't understand :( You had muscle pain because of the meds, then you stopped them? Then why did you get back on them with those results? I'm sorry if my post sounds completely stupid, I hope i'm not offending you with my questions.

Hi Milker:

Not at all men!

The issue is my doctor did not want me to stop meds in the first place. So i stopped meds because the meds were the cause for muscle pain.

We had to begin to discard meds. So AZT is not the one.. we are suspecting about sustiva.

MIlker.....I think what he's saying is this: by the process of elimination they are attempting to determine WHICH med is causing the muscle pains.
So he stops meds and goes back on but eliminating one of the old ones in the process.
I may be wrong.

Thank you I get it, i'm a bit slow.

I hope they find the cause and can help you get this pain away then. Keep us informed, and about the love too :)
