first lab results...
« on: May 07, 2007, 05:54:28 PM »
i visited with my doctor today and here are the basics:

CD4: 514
Viral Load: 28,890
31%

not bad, right?  my doctor was encouraging...which is very helpful and answered many, many questions for me...i'll go back in two months for another round of testing.  and btw, i will go in two weeks prior to my appointment for the blood work...then will meet with my doctor to discuss the results.  this makes total sense.

also, i talked with him about being so exhausted all of the time, he though that it's a combination of stress, depression, depression meds, hiv, divorce, eating habits, exercise habits, custody, moving...his thoughts were to give it time and make small changes.  things will improve.  i felt comfortable with this.

so, the good fight begins!

Not bad at all, belief !

But what is very encouraging is what's following your numbers. Your post is very positive (no pun intended), and that's an excellent start. You will still have hundreds of questions and we'll be there to answer them. I'm glad that you're starting well and ready for the fight :)

i'm pretty sure i threw that out there a time or two.  things are slowly but surely getting better with all that.  i'm moving forward and that's about all i can ask for.  my ex (who is not a very nice person) has been begging me to get back together with him...which it has been difficult to hold my own - but i've stood strong and keep saying "no, not doing it."  i just can't.  nothing but stress going on here...but i've been seeing a therapist which is helping.  she just encourages me to do what is best and right for me - regardless of how it may affect him (ie: leaving him, moving, custody, not disclosing my hiv status...).  so often i find myself worrying about everyone else and putting myself in 2nd.  i'm done with that.

Good numbers!  You are dealing with a lot of stress.  Just remember K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid).  That always helps me! :-*
