Country night on American Idol
« on: April 17, 2007, 09:01:08 PM »
7. Sanjaya - not a country song, not a good vocal! terrible!
6. Lakisha  what a surprise, just awful this week!
5. Chris R. - I like him so much, but not his best vocal
4. Blake - not country, but pretty good
3. Phil - the biggest surprise for me - good choice of song and strong vocal perf.
2. Jordin - really good!

1. MELINDA!! MELINDA!! - the very best vocal perf.! She's my #1 for a reason! She rocked it!! I love her!

Rich!  We should watch together.....I ranked them the same as you tonight.

I was disappointed in Ki Ki.

My friends are all wild about Blake, but when I hear him sing, I hear a slightly off key note now and then.....I am not the most musical person in the world, but I have played piano all my life, and I swear it seems like he is just a tad off sometimes....but I still like him.

I feel the same way about Blake - the reason he might win the competition is because the three girls (Melinda, Jordin and Lakisha)  very well may cancel each other out.

Melinda got me up out of my chair and dancing!!! (: I loved her performance last night!! I would buy her CD's, not sure if that's true of anybody else...

I was so surprised by Phil last night - I thought it would be his last night, but now I think Sanjaya will be voted off (unless those Howard Stern "vote for the worst" people cast enough votes to keep him on). Geez, if Sanjaya and Phil are the next 2 to get voted off, that will leave me with a top five in which I like everybody!! That's never happened before! (I like Sanjaya, so Phil is the only one left from my "I don't like him" list!) (;

Hey, any big AI fans who want to come over and watch the show with me are very welcome!

Metta,
Rich

1. Jordin - quickly becoming my favorite
2. Phil - still think he is bizarre looking, but did a great job
3. Melinda - thank you Simon for telling her to get rid of the surprise look!!!
4. Blake - Just kind of doing what needs to be done each week
5. Lakisha - shouldn't be voted off but very well might
6. Chris - sounds nasally every week
7. Sanjaya - first time I have said this, but he has gotta go

I am actually starting to enjoy the competition

I thought Melinda was terrific! She is of a different caliber in my opinion.

Jordan did very well also.

Country music suits Chris' voice but I expected a better performance.

Alan, you are right about Blake being off key at times. He was struggling throughout the song. I still really like him though.

I hope Sanjaya leaves tonight. He's become the punchline of a stale joke and I feel sorry for him.
