Sweet... bitter sweet article.
How about this: what do you think? Is the next generation picking up the fight?

QUOTE from article:Patrick says this year's AIDS Walk, which starts at 10 a.m. April 28 at Positive Directions, 154 N. Emporia, will be his last.

He will keep raising money, but he'll be done walking. He says he is tired of his generation doing so much for AIDS.

"It is time for Pat Johntson to step back and let someone else take over."

Heartbreaking.

Hello,

Very emotional article. From that article :

"I've seen too many die, too many. I've held too many hands when family members wouldn't do anything because they were too afraid."

And now, Patrick is afraid, too.

He is afraid no one is paying attention to AIDS anymore.

"I'm tired of playing games with these people," he says of those who have forgotten to be careful about protecting themselves from HIV because they think pill bottles will save them.

Randy chimes in: "If you forget the past, you're doomed to relive it."

And then Randy wonders something out loud:

Why are two very sick people taking care of each other?"
