My latest test results!!
« on: April 11, 2007, 10:18:21 PM »
cd4 count: 486 (it was down at 53 at the beginning of last year)
Viral load: undetectable!! (:

Only problems: a slight case of neuropathy in my feet, and vitamin D deficiency (doc calls it "indeficiency"?)

Everything else was good. Blood pressure: 120/80! Cholesterol: 110! (veg/vegan diet is the reason)

Just wish I wasn't so tired!

(unrelated: my sister had surgery, she's been going through a cancer scare: they got ALL of it!! Ecstatic about this!!!!)

Jesus H. Christ, what a jump in those Tcells you've had since last year!

i'm curious about your vitamin D deficiency though....not enough milk products/sunshine?

Glad to hear about your sis too, somehow it puts things in perspective.

Take care,

Whoa - that's an amazing bounce. Congratulations. What was your % now and at the beginning of the year?

Sorry you're tired. I guess you're not anaemic and you've had your hormones checked?

Congrats again!

My combination is norvir, truvada and reyataz - 3 pills in all each morning. I've been on this combo for a year now.

I'm not sure why this vitamin D thing has happened. I've been on this diet for 16 years and this is the first time I've ever had this particular deficiency (or is it indeficiency?).

I was tested for anemia and my testosterone levels were checked, too - they both came back fine.

My doc doesn't seem to care about percentages; I asked him about this, but he has no concerns at all. I'm not sure what to look for in my test results - I get confused by all the different numbers and percentages!

As for the sore feet/neuropathy, he wants me to go back on painkillers, which I'm reluctant to do. I've been spotty on this; I don't like painkillers because I worry about getting addicted to them.

Great first year results Rich!  Sorry to hear about the PN.  Hopefully that will be manageable for you and ultimately clear up.  Good news about your sister.  Thanks for sharing.

[fingers crossed icon]

With all the massive respect I have for the meds, do you think this also has something to do with being a Buddhist? Do you meditate regularly?
