Prezista issues
« on: February 26, 2007, 12:32:57 AM »
Louie and I just found out that the Prezista (spelling) is on back order from the manufacturer and the pharmacy isn't sure when they'll get any in.

Now they want to call the doctor to see if he can try something else instead.
Because they can't handle the manufacturing demand, Louie has to now risk becoming resistant to the Prezista.

Hopefully the doc will have some samples or know who has some so Louie can get his refills.

This is just crazy that something like this is even happening!!

Just  had to vent, anyone else having this same issue?

I got my refill on 2/12 OK.  We'll see how it goes in 2 weeks.

This doesn't sound right. I got my Prezista refilled today with no problem.

You might try calling Tibotec's headquarters in the U.S. to find out what the story is. Their number (in Pennsylvania) is:  (609) 730 7500.

Michael -- this sounds like a problem with your local pharmacy, and NOT with Tibotec's supply of Prezista -- there is ample supply of this drug (we've checked).  Tibotec has a handy toll-free number to call with questions about how to get Prezista -- 1-877-732-2488.

Let us know if you find out where the bottleneck is.

Yes, I forgot about this thread.  I had no problem getting my March refills either, but since it's been a month almost since RevMC first posted about this one must assume he solved whatever problem he had as he's not provided any follow up.

I'm sorry everyone for not posting a followup.  Been kind of crazy lately.

The Pharmacy called us up a few days later and said they were able to get Louie's prescription re-filled with no problem.
