cut on penis.. help please
« on: December 02, 2009, 01:03:26 am »
hi well this is the question..
a few nights a go i been masturbating everyday 2 times or more...to the point of my penis not being able to get up alot because i guess lack of a turn on point im guessing..anyhow the last day i started to get an itch i didnt bother to look but i always clean my penis with soup and water after i masturbate..

3 days ago i had gay intercourse with the guy im talking to. im the top by the way.. i used a condom a lubricant.. after a while of "trying to do it" my penis kept turning off..so i pulled out and then back in when i pulled out the condom fell off and i didnt noticed.. i kept going for not even a minute until he started to tell me it was burning him.. and it was kinda burning me too..(i noticed the same condoms kept doing that with the partners i been with their canadian.. weird) i pulled out and it seem like blood was on my penis..i paniced and quickly went to the restroom to clean my dick with soup and water.. i saw a red mark on my side of my dick not on the head but on the side ..it didnt burn after i applyed soup so i thought it was maybe my pubic hair was being pulled while having sex... after that we stoped having intercourse

the next day we had sex again but this time it was short and with no protection i we jacked off for a while before having sex then i guess i came in him (i am clean so he didnt mind ) he felt the burn again but not so much as before as i used saliva as lubricant....

after having sex he told me he was HIV positive and i now im like going nuts.... i have never bottomed and yeah... i checked that day if i had a cut and i didnt but i felt i had a scab already as in the day before we had sex for the first time it was already healing.. i dont know what to do.. please help me....

thanks soo much :-[

OK. First of all, you need to stop having anal intercourse without using a condom. You can have as much sex as you want and with anyone regardless of their HIV status. But you need to do it the safer way which means everytime you have anal, whoever is the insertive partner is wearing a condom. No exceptions. And wearing a condom isn't something that gee, I just don't feel like using one this time. Everytime you have anal without a condom you are putting your life at risk. It's as stark and as simple as that.

Now, as to these recent incidents. The risk is less for the insertive partner but it is still a very real risk. So you do need to get tested. You can get tested initially at 6 weeks. Assuming you test negative then, that result indicates you will very likely test negative again at 13 weeks. But you do need to re-test at 13 weeks for a conclusive result.

You also need to drop using the term "clean" in relation to HIV status. HIV is a virus and not dirt. People who have the virus are HIV positive, not dirty. It's offensive to people living with the virus to use terms like clean and dirty.

Hopefully you will come out of this ok. The irritation you had on your penis did not increase your risk level. It's through the urethra of the penis or under a foreskin that HIV would enter and not through nicks and irritations on the shaft and such.

thanks and im sorry for saying "clean" in not really experienced in this.. and yeah i cleaned my urethra like the tip i opened it and made sure nothing was in there and cleaned with soup hope that helped a bit....and so the "cut" doesnt have nothing to do with getting exposed.. i mean it wasnt a cut i think it was like a cut like the skin streched like a night before and it was healing ..so it was already whiteish pinkish with no blood at all..from my penis

oh and im circumcised

OK. You're good to go without further concern. What appears sometimes to the naked eye as a fresh or open wound has actually very quiickly already begun to close.

Take a breath and get on with your life.

Cheers.

trip,

Yes, you should get tested but as the insertive partner in this brief incident, I agree with Andy and expect you to test negative.

You should try washing your penis with soap in future. Soup is food. :)

thanks :) i feel a bit better still worried a bit but gonna think positive but why is it that its harder for like insertive homosexual males to get HIV...like what has to happend.i was reading that HIV is weak and dies with contact with air.. i did take out my penis out alot.. and well washed it right after the first time i noticed my condom was out..and the second time i kept pulling it out.. and stuff and after "cumming" i pulled out and washed with soap and water like alot hehe.. and well yeah... i just thought the cut that was already healing hehe..it was already like white and not red maybe a bit not much...more pink and white like already almost healed i guess hehe

Trip,

It doesn't matter if you top or bottom, correct and consistent condom use will protect you.

There are only a very few, very specific cells that hiv can latch onto and infect. On the penis, they are found inside the urethra (the hole where you pee from), and on the inside of the foreskin, if you have one.

In the anus there are many of these cells present. Also, if any small tears occur during anal intercourse, this makes it possible for hiv to gain direct access to the blood stream.

There are many more of the correct type of cells present in the anus than there are in the penis. This is why it is more difficult, but not impossible  for the top (insertive partner) to become infected.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple! Read through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use them with confidence.

Now get busy with other things in your life. Doing that will make the waiting time pass much more easily than you may imagine is possible. At the end of this I expect you to come out ok.
