risk+symptoms needing advice
« on: July 25, 2012, 10:33:19 am »
Dear all,

i had unprotected sex with a women this year from may 1st to may 4Th. 3times...altogether, later i heard from friend that sh is quite sexually active, so I'm guessing it only means my encounter was 'high risk'

after 4days had a red spot on my penis, 8 days swollen groin nodes, which is still swollen now, i checked with the doctor on the 25Th that month, with a confirmed genital herpies  HIV neg result, so i went away, during June i have red spots growing over my body, some not itchy some are, usually very small like pimples (including face and head) diarrhea last-in 2-3days, muscle ache, and uneasy underarm as if its itchy or sore , i cant find a swollen node but maybe there is one? and a rash on my knee that just appeared out of the blue, and is still there now.

up to now, i have red spots all over my body not alot just here and there, and the ones on my face is still there after almost two months, and my groin is still swollen

i know the only way is to get tested, but i have been stressed like hell these past 2 months, cant sleep at night, if i close my eyes i see myself getting positive,

my question is its not 3 months yet, last encounter 4Th of may, if i get test now will the test be conclusive? i cant wait till 3 months because of work, i am going to a country where its very sensitive about aids, so i am afraid to get tested there,

maybe I'm just looking for some comforting words but regarding my situation and symptoms, can someone tell me the risk? I've looked up HIV on the internet for two months now and the more i read the more i think i have HIV..... :(

You have no choice about the timeline to obtain a conclusive test result.

yizy,

You can have a conclusive result this week. Your last unprotected incident was on May 4th and it will be twelve weeks since then this coming Friday. You can test any time this week and consider it conclusive.

thanks ann,

just 1 more question is red spots a symptom of acute phase?

i think out of all my symptoms these red spots are causing the more concern for me, i think bed bug/too much fried food/not enough sleep, and then i look at myself in the mirror and say aids...

Yizy,

You would not be having symptoms of acute hiv infection twelve weeks into the game. Red dots are not a symptom anyway.
