Title: Risky Exposures and Worried
Post by: ScaredPerson on October 19, 2009, 09:04:31 am
Hi All,
I am a Male 27 years old , married.  I have moved to a new place because of job transfer. Initial days were bit lonely as my wife did not come with me here. So I went to a risky area where there are prostitutes. Two times I went there within 2 days.

Since long time[5-6 years], I have the skin in between my legs irritated. There is some fungal/bacterial infection due to which it itches due to which the skin is scarred. It was not due to any type of sex contact. Often it itches very much and I sometimes scratch it till such an extent that there is some blood-crack.

I remember that at maximum 15 mins before , I had scratched this area. Then ,

1. First time , the prostitute wore me a condom.I rubbed bodies togather. But no vaginal or anal sex.
2. Second time , I went there, the main lady asked me to wait for sometime and after some time came with a girl. I was not wanting to have sex. Suddenly before I knew anything , the girl started rubbing my penis with her hands. I did not check her hands . I dont know if she was bleeding and what amount blood was there on her hands. I was feeling uneasy and so I left the place without any other sex.

So now I fear that the blood from her hands got in contact with my blood-crack infection mentioned above. Also does the blood contact with the penis tip or foreskin increase the chance ?

I read that existing infections/ std's can increase Hiv chances ?

I did not have other contact outside the marriage.

After about 2-3 weeks I got a heavy cough and throat infection and sore throat. Also I developed a new unknown lesion on my bums [not on my penis] which itches. Is this lesion Hiv ?I am also getting some sort of rash now.
Are these Hiv symptoms?

Did I get Hiv ? When do I get tested ?

Scared,

Nothing you did or had done to you was a risk for hiv infection. Hiv is primarily transmitted through unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse and you did not have anal or vaginal intercourse.

Having your penis rubbed by a hand, whether it is your hand or another person's hand, is called masturbation. Masturbation is NOT a risk for hiv infection, regardless of the presence or absence of blood. Not one person has ever been infected through masturbation and you will not be the first. You will also not be infected through your skin where it is irritated by a rash.

Hiv is NOT transmitted from objects in the environment and this includes hands. Hiv is a very fragile, difficult to transmit virus that is transmitted INSIDE the human body, as in unprotected anal or vaginal intercourse where the virus never leaves the confines of the two bodies.

Hiv does not cause lesions. If you're concerned about your lesions, see a doctor. If you're concerned about your cough and sore throat, see a doctor. None of these things have anything to do with  hiv.

You did not have a risk and you do not need to test.

Thank You Ann for reply.

So hiv blood contact with mucus membrain [I have foreskin] is no risky ? Also the presence hiv blood on the blood-scar / cut I got [I do not know what to call it in English. Hope you understand it.] because of the fungal/bacteria infection scratching I had done just before the contact  not a risk ?

Also does not std/fungal [not sure] infection increase hiv risk as I read on the internet several sites ?

Can I start normal relationship with my wife ? I do not want to infect her with hiv in any way.

Scared,

Masturbation happens OUTSIDE the body. You did NOT have a risk for hiv infection. Not one person has ever been infected through being masturbated and you will not be the first.

I did not have any sex with others after last exposure below. My wife is near me. But yesterday I tempted for sex. So I went to prostitue area. The lady touch my penis area. I am wearing my jeans and underwear.

Suddenly I understand that I should not do it. So I got up and leave place immedatly. I do not checking her hands . I really do not know if she is blood on hands. If the blood goes from my pant and underwear to my uncircumsised penis , is it risk ? At home I check my jeans. It got 2-3 wet drops. Not know if it is blood or what. Is it risk if the drops is blood ?

I read about 3 days PEP medicine. Today is second day after exposure. I want to ask if PEP medicine is needed. Should I ask doctor for PEP medicine  ?

Please help tell me the risk level and PEP medicine need.

Having somone touch you on the outside of your trousers is not a risk for HIV transmission. You do not need PEP, you do not need to be tested for HIV.
