Welcome to Do I Have HIV?

Welcome to the "Do I Have HIV?" POZ forum.

This special section of the POZ forum is for individuals who have concerns about whether or not they are HIV positive. Individuals are permitted to post up to three questions or responses in this forum.

Ongoing participation in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum (posting more than three questions or responses) requires a paid subscription, with secure payments made via PayPal.

A seven-day subscription is $9.99, a 30-day subscription is $14.99 and a 90-day subscription is $24.99.

Anyone who needs to post more than three messages in the "Do I Have HIV?" forum -- including past, present and future POZ Forums members -- will need to subscribe, with secure payments made via PayPal.

Needs an update

OK I am not going to paste the thread of this specific topic from a member named pozmd  ( oct 16 & 17 2007) which was claiming he was infected through oral sex, but his tests the he was talking about was very confusing...
I engaged in oral sex being the one perfroming, this just brought me into panic mode.  help!

It's good you didn't copy and paste. As for your risk of giving a blowjob, ZERO. HIV is transmitted via unprotected anal and vaginal sex, sharing works with other IV drug abusers or from mother to child.

IN his case, was it proven that he was indeed positive? his posts are confusing and some of his tests are negative and some are positive but he has a viral load.. I dont understand.
I find this very intriguing, since most of us who engage in oral sex get concerned, I want to reassure myself, and the rest of us worried folks that we are worrying needlessly over this guy's claim of way of transmission ( is he really hiv+ by judging his statements?)..

and I am surprised he never posted agan or even ran amok or whatever (Considering he claimed he was an HIV councelor) ..  pls give an insight to this.. anybody? Andy? Rapid? Ann?

His case remains open and insufficiently documented including as to whether he is actually HIV positive.

Of course you and other anxious readers seize on this totally unfounded claim to confirm their worst fears. Other contrary for-real and well documented information like the longterm study of sero-discordant couples, both gay and straight, just falls by the wayside. They had lots of mutual unprotected oral sex and only protected vaginal and anal intercourse. The results of this longterm study has been that not one sero-negative partner has become infected.

Give it up and get on with your life. Really.
