Hmm.. just out of the shower and I noticed two little spots that are like bruises under my right arm, I don't feel anything when I push them, they don't change color, it's greenish/yellowish like a bruise, but small, about 1/4 inch diameter..
I don't see my doctor before july. Anyone has seen this before? I'm not on meds.
Milker (who knows it could just be small bruises)

Maybe someone just gripped you too hard, Milkie...

Do blood lab test esp. platelets...........or just platelets if suspicious, it is a cheap one, but first see your GP , if you spot more of them, or if they became more often

Yea I was thinking the same thing......didnt you have monkey sex recently?
-
I know a dutch poz guy who had some trouble with his platelets*.
His bruises were persistent. So if they are persistant you must contact your doc.
* (That's how he found out he was poz. he had not a high vl but his cd4 was around 250.
Since he's on meds the platelets issue improved.)
take care!

Those aren't bruises honey. Those are KS lesions that you got from copious snorting of poppers.

I guess.. kind of strange place to have bruises tho.. but I've experienced strange positions, lately, so maybe.. for now they haven't changed much. I should stop smearing poppers on my arms :o
I'll check with the doctor if they don't go away.

;D I have had sexually acquired bruises in tender areas before...
-
milker, cruising spots from standing and modeling in the bars. ;)

Funny, I had one bruise there about a month ago.; Had the same concerns as you. It turned out to be nothing.
Hope you have a similar result. One question tho...is it raised?
-
No it's not raised, both little bruises have merged, it's a bit bizarre, i don't feel anything when I push on them. It could be that it's just a normal bruise and the platelets counts are low, i see my doctor early july, i will wait I guess, unless it spreads? Now it's the size of a quarter (or a shilling :D).

Milker, it's good that you pay attention and notice such things.
Sometimes we get bruises or banged around a bit without even noticing it particularly at the time. (OK guys, no remarks about that). Just notice if the marks fade or if you notice more of them. In all likelihood it's nothing important, just one of those life events that causes some bleeding under the skin that creates that kind of bruise mark.
Cheers,

I think we need visuals!

I'm not home, so no cam.. one has become red now and the other is still yellow/greenish.. very strange.. I'll make a pic next week if it's still there.. I'm sure you experts will tell me what it is !

Dunno... if it's really morphing like this I might personally go have it looked at. I'd have to see it to give any of expert advice. And because of my medical degree I'll have to charge you for this.
-
It is good that it is not raised and not purple. I'm encouraged. :)

I know I feel a bit foolish and i'm in Europe now and I don't want to call the doctor for a bruise, so I'm keeping an eye on it. It's just that the area where it is (under upper arm) is a bit strange for a bruise. Then again I've been a bad boy, so maybe I did something strange.. or banging something like Andy said :o.. I don't think I would worry, normally. Oh well. If it gets too weird I'll see a doctor. Thanks for your concern, guys (and gals).

Ah Milker, such a delicate flower!
I've had bruises in that particular place before and it was from being gripped by the arm by an over-enthusiastic policeperson after I'd accidentally kicked a window in. It was an accident, honest! :D
Anyway, as the others have said, if it persists, get it checked out. And stay away from over-enthusiastic police!

LOL :D :D :D Yes.. you got me... trying to be butch but doesn't work lol
I didn't think about that kind of grip, that would explain that bruise. Now that I think about it...it's totally possible that "over-enthusiastic men" grabbed me at one point.. :o :o or is it the sling.. :o :o Today it looks like it's fading, it looks more like a blurb than 2 spots. I need to know my platelet count!!!

Well, I'm shocked. Mild Mannered Ann on the Rampage :o

Ya know Milky,
I have found that I bruise easier, and cuts take twice as long to heal. I don't know if it is secondary to the drugs, or the disease. Things that would never have left a bruise before, now look like I have been ravished. I find little funny bruises fairly often these days.

That happens to me too but I guess it is because I am diabetic and it takes longer for diabetics to heal. I seem to get bruises after having blood work done. You just don't know how much I hate that. :'(

Well Lisa, I noticed that for a couple of years now, the bruises don't heal as well as when I was a 20 years old skater and hitting everything.. so it's not related to hiv, it's just my old age >:(
Ann was right, it was that grip, except that it was not cops (we will have to investigate why Ann hit that window and the cops had to hold her :D) My little bruises are fading, one is gone and the other one will be gone soon. Being HIV of course I panicked, but I'm not going to die of those bruises. Whew!

Well Milkie-
I could have told you...oops, I did ;D
Next time try padded restraints, they leave fewer marks.
