Djarimirri (For Daddy Tim)
« on: June 18, 2011, 09:49:36 am »
It has been just over a year since Daddy Tim died and I have yet to eulogise him in the manner he so richly deserves.

It is odd but I find myself uncommonly stricken by the passing of someone I never actually met.  I have no words to describe what I felt and continue to feel for him.

Every time I think about him, my heart breaks. The grief just overwhelms me.  :(

Daddy Tim and I were in many ways very different men but we shared some things in common; being permanently banned from these forums amongst them.

And the irritation our subsequent restorations caused our various detractors was pretty good too. We often chuckled about that in our telephone conversations.

Seriously, Tim was not perfect. If you ever got the impression he didn't like you, it's because he really didn't. It's not that he hated people, but he certainly harboured an intense dislike for more than one person around here.

Those people know who they are. :)

Another thing we shared was a love for the music of Gurrumul Yunupingu, a man of the Yolnu people of Northern Australia. Especially this song:

Djarimirri.

Tim really loved that song.

Rest well, Great Old One.  :-*

I remain yours,

MtD
