Goodbye
« on: October 06, 2010, 02:01:39 pm »
I just wanted to thank the people who have offered support and answered my questions regarding my son.  There are some very kind, caring individuals on this site and I will always keep you in my heart and prayers.  Unfortunately, there are also some not-so-kind people on this site who are so full of bitterness and hatred that they delight in insulting and humiliating people publicly.  I will pray for you also.

I wish everyone healing, physically, mentally, and spiritually.

Dunno what to say to this really.

Were those guys being major douchebags?  Of course they were and they know it.

Did you bring it on yourself?  Probably so, but you brought up politics and people get really upset with political ideas.

The bottom line is do you feel like this site makes you happier moreso than it upsets you.  If that is the case stick around and ignore the people you don't like.  If this site does nothing but make you dislike your time spent here then you are making the right decision.  I purposely refrained from commenting because I could see where it was going from a mile away.

The cabal has effectively stopped any free exchange of thought on this site.
If anyone has any helpful ideas or suggestions, they best keep them to their selves for fear of the hate and vile they will receive.
It takes only 7 bitter queens to destroy a site.
Since the cabal live on this site there is little that can be done unless the sponsors choose to act.

Lovely.  All this complaining about a supposed "cabal" gets so tiresome.  At least be original in your complaints and insults (your "seven bitter queens" could apply to anybody who participates in any topic). Name calling is really not acceptable in case you missed that, Missy.

Squaw, what was the real point of this thread?  To have people go at each other's throat?  To allow a couple of individuals to state how they feel so mature, high, and mighty when it comes to the supposed cabal?  To flame and call for additional comments from those who disagreed with you around one single topic?

Some of y'all need to grow up.  You with your complaints and conspiracy theories are the ones ruining this place.

Thus far 3 out of the seven couldn't help their selves...
They are all ignored and I care not what vile things they say.
With that said, I have received several nice private notes from the good folks on the site.

If we can find some way to remove the hate from this forum, maybe people will be willing to share ideas and good thoughts. Isn't that what this forum was created and funded to do?

Folks, let's just quit with the he said she said he said stuff. It's not productive and just leads to more snarkiness.

I'm leaving this thread open for the timebeing. Please don't make me regret that.

I can't see this one going anywhere beneficial for anyone so I'm locking it down right now.

Squaw, I'm glad you've found this website useful and of course you are always welcome back here if you need information for your son.

However, I'm sorry you've not found the forums entirely to your liking. Some of us here do have a certain amount of bitterness, yes, but look in the mirror. Your OP in your thread Don't Ask Don't Tell is very bitter and you set the tone for the thread - and that thread is presumably the reason for this thread.

You have also have set the tone for this thread when you threw down the gauntlet by insulting people then saying you'll pray for them. If that's not bitter, I don't know what is.
