LOL, funny how different what makes people happy can be.

I wouldn't have half of those on my list.  ;D

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important

The heaviest thing you can carry is a grudge..

One thing you can give and still keep...is your word.

Can't say it makes me happy, but riding around in the country and getting an occasional whiff of cow manure, and hay brings me back to earth, and nature   :) But I especially like the ozone smell, just prior to a rain.

RE: party poppers; I must contend there is a difference between a "smell" making one "happy" and the chemicals being inhaled making one high. Same thing with petrol/gasoline. Though I am one of the strange ones that actually likes the SMELL of it, not to huff or anything, but just the odor when I'm filling my tank at the gas station. An interesting odor.

This is your Captain speaking:

   Gotta disagree with #12. Babies?

Then again, after marinadiing for a few hours then baked with the proper seasoning, one imagines the aroma would be quite luscious.

Back in the old days when I was in gradeschool... I loved the way freshly mimeographed papers smelled.  It was always blue ink and when the teacher would pass them out to the class, I would say that over 85% of the students would immediately take a whiff.

Drunk teenage breath

I can't say I know what that smells like but it sounds revolting. Beer breath makes me gag anyway so I can just imagine it combined with decaying food stuck in braces.

My mother had a Sunbeam electric mixer that made this particular, kind of ozone smell. I always loved that.

Hehe - you dirty ol minds.  I never fucked underage and Im not even turned on by youth.

However, I did start to notice, when I was in my twenties and then again in my thirties, that teenagers have sweet smelling breath when they are drunk. Even beer breath. But more so hard alcohol.  You can smell the booze and smell the youth, and you kinda remember all your happy harmless drunks when you were young. (Forgetting the few bad smashed episodes, of course! Its Proustian selective memory!)

Come to think of it, I kinda loved the smell of keg parties and college bars when I lived them, too.

Sorry Mecch there is no such thing as sweet smelling beer breath...beer breath is beer breath, and smells quite sour at times regardless of age.

i have qualms about the beer breath, babies, burnt matches, rubber tires, puppy breath, and gas (ie petrol. this must be a European listing by it's spelling). yuck to all. however, i do agree that movie popcorn and cotton candy smell good. although I like the smell of coke fizz, but a gulp of it icy cold on a hot day counts into the best tasting things ever. as to best smells, forget the crumble and just list any freshly baked pie!

The smell of diesel exhaust, is powerful to me.  Anytime I am around any diesel powered vehicle, and I catch the odor of it, it instantly reminds me of the motor pool smell of the tanks, when I was in the Army.

We used to kid, "nothing like the smell of diesel in the morning".

Yes, that's a good smell. My car is a diesel so I am treated to that on a daily basis, I love the smell but I try not to inhale too much ;D

Very true.  Many foods smell good while being cooked.  After the meal however, the smell usually is no longer welcome.

There's a little dinner party trick... if you are running behind on the meal just sautee onions while your finishing the meal and the guests get all excited instead of miffed.

I don't know, I kinda think there is something sexy about beer breath.  When my partner comes home after drinks with co-workers, I think the beer breath is kinda hot.  This could be due to smelling car exhaust as a kid.  My brother and I use to smell the exhaust coming out of cars.  I think this was still when gas was leaded.  It smelled good, but I'm sure it killed many brain cells.

New car smell is nice, but I've read where that smell is toxic--all the plastics/electronics giving off fumes.  I think many recommend riding with the windows down for the first 6 months.  Most of the ones listed are my favs from coffee to grass.  There is nothing like a warm Spring night and the smell that has.  I actually like the smell of fresh paint, but I know that is suppose to be toxic, too.

Of course it does,  has a fresh sorta pungent smell to it,  I always wondered why my 2 kitty cats keep stealing my dirty jocks, and hiding them for me after they molested them with their own scent  ;)

even though I've gone 749 days w/o, I agree with this one! MMMMM ;D

I like the smell of someone smoking outside on a nice, warm day.  But, I don't like the smell indoors.  Strange.  Someone mentioned armpits.  I kinda like the smell of "dirty" armpits where no deodorant has been used.  Its those pheromones.

I can't stand the smell of a cigar.  It literally takes my breath away--just like going to the animal barn at the fair takes my breath away.  But, I enjoy pipe smoke.  That smells really good.  I recently found a pipe I had bought I guess around 1999 in order to try pipe smoke.  I had forgotten about it.  It took a lot of sucking to keep it lit.  Plus, a pipe at age 24 wasn't so cool.  I remember I only did it a couple times in secret.  Maybe I'll save it for when I'm 75.

My Father use to smoke Cigars and a Pipe w/ Cherry Tobacco, of course my Mother didn't like it, so he had to go outside on the Front-Porch or back-Yard, I use to go out with him at night sometimes, and I liked the smell of the CherryTobacco, it was kinda a male bonding sorta thing my dad and I use to do together, I couldn't smoke, I was too young as a boy  :)

I'm surprised that none of you queens has mentioned the delicious smell of leather (as in a man dressed in leather, not a barn, Willemina).

Mix it with poppers and you got me there, sugah.

PS./ I just saw that "teen breath" smell comment and discussion.  Weird.  Ick!  Le Kreepeh.
