Skeebo-

Glad that it all turned out to be a UTI   However, I'm not sure what's worse...  the UTI or the ball busting from MTD :)

Glad your balls have been tamed.

You prob should be drinking copious amounts of Grey Goose/Cranberry to help stave off those UTI's.

It ain't healing as fast as I would like, and I found out today why the doctor put me on bed rest.  I needed to get some dog food for the dogs and the venture did me in.   By the time I was done, my left testicle was more swollen and sore as hell.   I could barely sit in the car seat to drive home.

Cows can be very hard on the testicles -
in your condition, I would advise you stick with soft, furry animals.
Ask you doctor about it, I'm sure he would agree.

Man, I just can't imagine.  I wish we all lived closer to each other, so we could help each other out with dog food runs when stuff like this happens.  Woods, you live a few miles from me.  If you ever need anything, let me know.  My phone number is in my facebook profile.  Thomas, no one on here lives near you?  We were actually suppose to be in Florida this week for Spring Break, but decided not to go.  I would have come nurse your ball for ya.  I hope ya feel better soon.  From what the nurse said, many men have this happen regardless of HIV?  It does make a guy squeamish just thinking about it.

Rest your balls.  If you have folks in town, give them the guilt trip to come do stuff for ya.

yeeeeeeee  ikes!  Skeeb, I had something very similar a few years ago--caused mostly by Naproxin related stones.  Damn painful.

Hope your chumleys chill soon.  Rest is the key.  I even resorted to ice packs.

Funny story about my care for said mashed-taters:  I was in the ER where they constantly refer to patients by their presenting issue, ie. "Cardiac in curtain 4" etc.  I'm standing behind my curtain, disrobed as directed (not sitting--you KNOW why) and as she opens the curtain the nurse says" This is enlarged testicle in curtain 3".  At that point a nurse, female doctor and myself are all starring at eachother with my John Thomas and twins free for world view.  So I said, "Well, things are large, but I doubt they encompass my entire being.  HI, my name is Marco"  ;D  After intial exam she insists it's an STD, to which I state that I KNOW it isn't and ask for another physician.

Sometimes you have to use humor and still be forcefull if you want your tender bits looked after correctly  ;)

It's doing much better.  There is still a little bit of pain when I move wrong and while the swelling looks like it's completely gone I can still feel some in the anterior portion of the  testicle.   I see the urologist on Monday at 2 pm.  And yes, I have about 20 percs left.  They should come in handy for those late Friday night toothaches that hit making it damn near impossible to get help.

Sometimes you have to use humor and still be forcefull if you want your tender bits looked after correctly  ;)

The ER was staffed by nothing but women and I loved it!  The ER doc, a lovely lady, treated me with such dignity and told me there were a number of things that could cause this and that she was going to hit it hard to make sure all the bases were covered.  Because of the information I gathered here from hearing about epididmytis,  when those words rolled off her tongue-- I just knew, my wife left me because she was having an affair.   So I fumed for the first night over thoughts of everything she's told me.

Well, my doubters earlier in this thread left out a few other causes conveniently, like the fact that this can be caused by the backflow of sterile urine.  As the doctor explained it, I  already had the bladder infection along with the UTI, this just added to the backflow being more toxic I suppose.  This was all told to me on Sunday before release.

Backtrack to Friday night and I angrily told them to test me for everything.  The ER doc didn't think it was needed because of no discharge or something she said (this was after the morphine).  I told her no, my wife just left and I can't figure out the reasons.  At this point I started choking up a bit (blame it on the morphine), and she conceded.  Well, the results came back on Tuesday so I still can't confirm  what the wife's reasons are.

What she did while I was in the ER broke my heart for some reason.  I just felt so lonely in there, I haven't been that sad in a long time.    I think I cried over the phone with Trey (hellraiser) at one point but really can't remember, it may have been Danny (Dancerboy).  I'm grateful to both for showing concern, it really helped lift my spirits.

Ok I remember reading this thread with interest and horror at the thought of cumming blood.  Umm, yeah so now it has happened to me, starting last night.  I thought maybe I was mistaken so I took matters into my own hand this morning and again, blood.  My regular Dr is on maternity leave (selfish bitch)..ha, so went to a local urgent care.  I am in no pain whatsoever and the Dr found no blood in my urine.  For now he put me on Cipro just in case it is an infection but I am getting a scrotal ultrasound on Thursday. Of course as anyone would be, I am worried.  He mentioned tumor, possible infection, and epididymitis.  In addition he wondered if my scrotum was always so retracted..I was like, yeah especially when a stranger is viewing them under bright light in a cold room.  He was actually a nice Doctor which was cool.  In the meantime I am taking a vacation from jo!  Ok I am done venting.  Thanks for listening.

Joe
