I have a best friend. Her father -- one of my best friends -- just died. Of a heart attack, age 62. I'm flying from Iowa to Bombay, the fastest ticket I can get.
My computer is wet from tears. Oh but god, what hell it is to be alive.

Indeed, I am sorry for your loss. I have never lost a close friend but has lost my parents, biological mother and adopted father. When my best friend lost her father, it really almost destroyed her, but since I was familiar with the experience I helped her through it. Grieve for your friend but also celebrate his life. I honestly believe that even though someone is not here on earth they are still with you. Some even become guardians, which I'm sure your friend prolly will be to you. Bright Blessings...

I am sorry for your loss. My Dad died suddenly from a heart attack last month.
We had the family together, and tons of pictures with him and the family all over the livingroom. Then we had a party, told fun stories, as many laughs and tears were shed. It was a celebration, just as he would have loved it.
I hope you can find the inner strength inside of you, to remember and love, and move on. I'm sure he would want you to get on with your life!
With much Love,
Jeff
