Dear Brethren,
While I am glad to be here with you all, I am sad to give the news that Jerry's Father passed away this evening, quite unexpectedly.
He is still at the hospital with his Mother, and sister. He asked me if I could tell you all what has happened.
Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers, as his heart is truly broken right now.
He is inconsolable at the moment and needs our strength. Love to all...

Dad had a massive heart attack last night at 1230am. I just my dog out and noticed that my parents lights were on and thought that was strange. Went out and found my mom and dad on the floor and then there was the blood. After what seemed like hours on the phone with 911 and it was snowing the ambulance came and took him too the hospital. He was not responding I knew he was dead before they got there. My Mom is a total wreck. I just can not believe he went before I did.

Thanks everyone. It really means alot to read all the nice things you have all written on here. It has just been a stressful day. The funeral is on this Saturday at 100pm. It is just so hard to lose a family member, I have cried so hard and shed so many tears. My mom is very heart broken this being her second husband. I am just so tired have not been too bed since yesterday. It is just so fucking hard. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

I am so sorry to hear of this sad news. I was shocked when I read the thread title. This just isn't fair, at all. I know you must be so worn out and drained. Be strong for your mother as your father's passing has put everything into a tailspin.
Trust me, it will calm down some, but it will take awhile. Shed those tears, ask those unanswerable questions and get through the days ahead as best you can.
Its nice to see you posting some even through all of this, letting us know how you're doing.

Buried my dad yesterday.
It has been a rough few days which felt like a week.
Things went ok except for his ex-wife had to make her appearance at the funeral home the night of the wake. It had to get down to my mom had to call my step brother and ask for her not to be there for the funeral.
I had know my step father for 27 years and his real children would never take the time to come see there dad until it was already too late.
He was a great dad to me and my sister and mom for 27 years. My real father died when I was 6.
Now after seeing two dads gone out of my life has just been hard on my mom.
Things will never be the same again.
I can say only one thing if your parents are still living take time out if it is only too pick up the phone and let them know from time to time that you love them.
Just also wanted to say thanks to all of you my family here on aidsmeds for all the support and prayers it really means a lot to know that you really care. Just would have never thought something like this would have happened so quick.

Jerry, there is no way to explain how hard it is. The main thing is for you to be strong and stay strong. I'm sure your mom is going to depend on you more than ever now. You won't ever get over it, but it will get easier. You know where to get a hold of me if you need to.

My dad at the remaining days was special it was like he knew he would not be around much longer but had too much pride to not tell any of us what pains he was going through.
He put that water line into my home and put a new roof on my home and was really a great dad and friend till the end. :'( :'( :'(
He had planned to do a lot more but did not get to finish a lot of his projects around the home like he had planned to do.
He will be missed. :'(

I feel your pain as many of us do. I lost my parents too. My biological mother about 7 years ago and my adopted father more recently, going on 4 years ago. Reading your post made me glance at their pictures. I keep them in my bedroom and I still think of them to this very day. Stay strong..
