Agreed. They need to go ahead and bury him, instead of propping him up with a stick every night in front of the cameras.

Hopefully this means Andy Rooney won't be much longer on 60 minutes either..... I'm afraid his eyebrows are soon going to interfere with his ability to talk.  Sometimes when he is on there I think my cable has gotten snowy - then I realize it is his brows.....

See you Larry....
See you Andy...
and who else has stayed on tv beyond their welcome???

Ellen fucking Degeneres. God she's appalling. I mean I've sat through comedy monologues that could be described as tedious but hers are downright fucking harrowing.

Back to the fucking improv with her!

Matty, how dare you talk about Ellen  ;)

I'm glad to see Larry go.  After he gave Dubbya a hug, I never liked him much.  Plus, he was so out of touch.  CNN needs to let several people go.  Their ratings are sooooo bad.  I think many of their shows only average around 100,000 viewers.  That is awful!!  I've been catching "The View" and so glad to see Babs gone.  She took forever to tell a damn story and would tell the same ones over and over.  Plus, Babs is an admitted liar.  With Star Jones and Rosie, she admitted that she agreed to lie and say Star was leaving on her own and not forced out.  She admitted to lying about the Rosie situation.  She had heart surgery and is suppose to come back, so I'll stop watching then.

You all could respect the very old and experienced a bit more!
Larry King was super great, especially on radio, and then for years on TV, too.

There are skads of news shows to choose from, nobody forced you to watch Larry King in his twilight years, but he had his audience and he was QUITE the professional. If granny or grandpa liked to watch their Larry King, what's it to you?

Babawawa - ditto -  real pro. And she has been smart enough to gradually pull back more and more as the years advance.   I agree she is kind of two-faced.  Off camera she can be too regal around the "little" people.

I loved her interview with Calvin Klein, and a few other celebrities.  Richard Gere. She really has a inquisitive bitchy streak that can be amusing and revealing.

I've never watched an entire Larry King interview. I've seen web clips of him, because it's almost unavoidable, but I never watched his show.

I had no idea 60 Minutes was still on the air, much less that Andy Rooney was still alive.

I only watch Fox News, because it is fair and balanced.

I thought we had lost our Gymrat (is that really Shirley?) already! :D

Andy Rooney, for his 3 minute monologues at the end of 60 Minutes is funny and witty I believe.  Larry King, who my 88 year old mother watches I have no use for, or Wawa.

Then again since my mother used to make me watch Merv Griffin as a child I think I have a certain phobia of daytime TV. ;)

I love Larry, Ellen and Dionne...they all are so pro-GLBT.  :-*
Aww...why pick on them? They are like vintage wine; nice, smooth, mellow & sweet.  ;)

They had wanted to put Ryan Seacrest to replace Larry but something fell through. Maybe Paula Abdul is cheaper.  ;D

Oh, here's an idea -- LIZA!  I know she's only a decade younger than Larry, but imagine the laughs if they had Liza be the replacement if only for a short 5 year span.  The ratings!

Can't believe I missed this on the D-List.

And check Liza out on Home Shopping Network -- too much klonopin darling!  Put down the bottle!  lol... she betta werq!

Well since that other thread helped me realise I've become a lardass, I am very excited to learn of the LIZA HSN COLLECTION. All those sequins will bedazzle the attention away from my heft. And I'm sure its mostly stretch waist, if any waist at all. Seriously, those clothes look too fabulous, and so reasonably priced. I like the jewels too.
