Am I Infected? Are this ARS Symptoms? Asses my risk please
« on: October 20, 2015, 04:32:00 am »
Okay, so November 2 last year i had sex with a man.. he tried to penetrate my anal but he just can't get in so he stopped.. he just pushed his penis on the opening of my anus for about 20s but it wont get tru because i was so tight (it was my first time btw and never had anal sex since then)... about 10 days later i developed severe tonsillitis with pus and slight fever.. went to the doctor and gave me antibiotic and the tonsillitis went away in 3 or 4 days. then i feel fine..

so after almost a year, i search about HIV then the ARS symptoms came up.. so i remembered about the said incident and assumed to be the tonsilitis is as an ARS symptoms..

My questions are:

1. What is the HIV risk of the said incident? Will i know it if he successfully penetrated me? I just feel a slight pushing but not total pain on my butt.

2. Is the tonsilitis ARS symptoms? If they are ARS will they responds to antibiotic?

Im just feel sad that i didn't know about ARS back then..so that i've had tested earlier.

I think you would know if you were penetrated so I do not think you had a risk to test for so if you do decide to test do so for peace of mind only. You can read about testing here. http://www.aidsmeds.com/articles/HIVtests_5029.shtml

2. Is the tonsilitis ARS symptoms? If they are ARS will they responds to antibiotic?

Tonsillitis has nothing to do with hiv and we do not discuss symptoms anyway. If you are sick go see a doctor please.

Here's what you need to know in order to avoid hiv infection:

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together.

To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI.Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

Although you did not have a risk and do not need to test for this specific incident , anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv. Some of the other STIs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

There is no need to test for this incident unless its time for a check up anyway. No need to reply so you can save your last free post for another time.

it's me again :)

I just wonder if what i have in my tongue is oral thrush.

it's white coating behind my tongue that looks like tiny white dots and become hairy when i scrap them with tongue scraper.

i can't really seem to scrap them, when i try to its just some white liquid coming with the scrapper. after i eat something the white stuff comes back.

it doesn't hurt or looks red or inflamed when scrap.

i just discovered it accidentally.. i think i should really get tested now..

Hi , We DO NOT discuss symptoms , please see your doctor for them.
You stated there was no penetration, so if this is your only concern ... no risk.
If you want to test for piece of mind then do so.
