Dear expert !
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:50:19 pm »
i'm a male and i'm from china. i have a question and i need your expertise to help me on my situation! last week i went to the small STD clinic to get my Chlamedia and gonorrhea test. The Dr in the clinic took the Q_tip and inserted in my urethra to get some secretions of mine for the test. By that time i was so scared and nervous so i forget to check that Q_tip was new or re_used . when i get home i had started to think that the Dr in the clinic forget to change the Q_tip and he used that Q_tip from the guy just before me 5 minutes. My question is let assume the guy before me just 5 minutes is HIV+ and the q_tip have some of his secretions on it and  it get in back to my urethra after it was on the table ONLY 5 MINUTES. Was i at risk in this situation??? i'm so sorry about my bad English and i try my best to let you understand what i'm writting. Hope you understand and explain to me that i was at risk??? Do i need to get an HIV test?? thanks you in advance! ( let say the Q_tip had some HIV+ secretions on it)

You do know those are irrational thoughts and HIV is not transmitted in that manner.

Need,

A doctor is NOT going to reuse a urethral swab because it would render your swab test null and void. Just because you were too freaked out by the procedure to see him take it out of sterile packaging before he used it on you doesn't mean he didn't.

I suggest you seek counselling to help you deal with these irrational thoughts and fears. We cannot help you with that here.

You have NOT had a risk for hiv infection.

Need,

You sent a moderator report asking where your "reply" button went.

If you bothered to read the IMPORTANT UPDATE that appears at the top of each and every Am I Infected forum page, you would know that you are permitted three free posts. If you still feel the need to go on and on about your NO RISK situation, you'll have to pay for the privilege.

Do not attempt to create a new account to get around having to pay for our services - if you do, you will be permanently banned.

I suggest you also read our Welcome Thread so you can familiarise yourself with our rules.

Need,

By the way, the bottom line is - if you cannot bring yourself to believe us when we tell you that you had NO RISK for hiv infection when you were swabbed for other STIs, go test, collect your negative result and move on with your life. It's that simple.

Need,

You have sent yet another (three in total) moderator report to try to get around our rules.

I've already answered the question you posted in your moderator report. You  have NOT had a risk.

Because you have ignored everything I've written to you, you have left me no choice but to give you a time out. I can't see what more we can possibly do for you.

Again, I suggest that if you cannot bring yourself to believe us when we tell you that you had NO RISK from the swab, go test, collect your negative result and move on with your life.

And get some counselling for those irrational thoughts and fears. We cannot help you with that here.

Do not attempt to create a new account - if you do, you will be permanently banned.
