Latest Labs Just In
« on: October 19, 2006, 04:30:02 pm »
As I shuttled past the fax machine, it detected my presence and spit out a few pages - my latest labs.

I had no expectations, save that my CD4 would be increasing, since I feel well. Erm, so much for that idea! Dropped from 200 to 140. My ratio contiues to be quite low, which is no surprise at all at this stage. I'm telling myself that this drop in CD4 is the result of that phlegmy cough that was going around (at least in Eastern North America) during the early part of September. I still have the occassional tickle, but it's largely passed. I'll take my own advice and not dwell on a singal set of numbers  :o  Still awaiting VL numbers. They tend to lag a few weeks behind. I have a regularly scheduled appointment next week so I'm sure this will be discussed in more detail with monsieur MD.

On the good news front, with these last labs I also had my very first cholesterol test. I'm at 4.86 mmol/l which is below the reported 5.2 target. Triglycerides are also coming in under 1.71, at 1.32 mmol/l. So I guess my arteries aren't as clogged as I suspected they might be. Pass the butter.  8)

Hey Wellington,

Our numbers can fluctuate as you know it. The good news is that your percentage is remaining stable. If you have not already, start taking a multi-vitamin and grab some Omega 3 while you are at it. The exercise is a good thing as well. Please DO keep us posted on your progress.

Make the BEST of each Day!

If I swallow any more pills, I'm going to rattle when I walk. Sex will require ear plugs! Oh, perhaps you meant other forms of exercise. Will do.
