Hey Lucas,

The town where I actually was born smells like cows.  I never go there, but thee is one Forum member who lives there and I would never want to hurt her feelings.  The city where I consider to be my home is #6, Los Angeles.  Air quality was not so noticable in the South Bay Beach Cities but, it is where I got my HIV so it must be home.  ;D Have the best day

My new home of Charlotte as well as my original home of NY is also in the top ten.

What is most interesting is the top ten, and frankly I don't think it is a bad crowd to be associated with, don't you agree?

On a related (more related than you may notice) side note, Forbes has for the past 3-4 years reworked their web based news coverage to "host" stories by AP, Reuters, bloomberg, etc.  Look at Google news and you'll often find that stories with a Forbes listing are in fact authored by wire services and placed on the Forbes website, cross referenced and cross marketed for the most clicks and the most ad dollars.

There is a whiff of delicious irony in the most irrelevant and desperate of financial periodicals rating cities on a miserable index...or perhaps that is just me.

Oh well, they always have the Forbes 500 issue to keep the interest.

I also come from the most miserable town in the states. I have moved over 20 miles from the city. But I still have to go to work there each and every day to work. I must say it is a miserable place and well deserves the label.

I live just over the border in Indiana, so we're all pretty close (I see you are also Peter6836).  I've been to Grand Rapids before; and, as I've told Lucas, my parents are from Detroit.  We would visit grams there often.  (my parents moved to the small town of Niles, MI before I was born).  We should all have a festival or something.  Hell, Philly's offered a used dildo, a 1/2 can of Crisco and a 1/2 bottle of poppers! :D

The town of Guerneville has an approximate population of 1200 to 1300 people year round residents while, the County of Sonoma estimates an additional 250 homeless.  One photo is Main Street,( just past the stoplight).  The second photo is a marker erected because the early Pomo Tribes considered the area to be unholy.  Have the best day

It looks like where we live, except we don't have a stoplight, or a stop sign, on our mainstreet.  As a matter of a fact, we don't have a stoplight in our entire town! With a population of about 1000,  livestock outnumbers people 100:1.

We have one stoplight which is ignored by the visiting heads of state enroute to Bohemian Grove (once each year).  We have two parades each year with the same people in the same floats and in the same order.  We also know... If all three networks come to town at the same time, we are going to have a flood.  ;D  In terms of livestock, we have a bar called Rainbow Cattle Company.  ;D ;D ;D  Have the best day
