« on: May 28, 2012, 08:41:32 pm »
The opening day of the International Aids Conference is on the 22 of July, and that just happend to be my 64th birthday and I get to spend it at the opening ceremony at the IAC.

I have been asked to represent the Women of NZ again and also this year I have been asked to help out the Asian Pacific Network, I'm really looking forward to that

We are sorting out my dates now but I should be at the AMG hotel on the 27th.

looking forward to seeing you all again.

I knew that as soon as winter reared it's head down your way, you'd find a way over here!!  So happy I'll be seeing you again.

Now -- enjoy that snow!!

Great news!  And the women of NZ could not possibly have selected a better representative....our gain as well!  So pleased we will see you again in Washington DC.  Check the threads and see if you can get onto the White House tour that is being organized.

That's swell of the Conference to mark your birthday on opening day, Jan.

I am going to be working at the Conference all during the week22-27. After that I am on my own. I have the thought to stay an additional day/evening as the op to see you all seems too good to miss.

Will you be doing anything in DC on the 28th where I could meet up with youz? Luncheon? Dinner?

RSVP.

Hi Andy, that is great that you can stay over in Washington.  I don't think we have a final schedule just yet but July 28th is a Saturday and this year I believe we will have our always very moving memorial/celebration of those we have lost over the years on that day.  After that probably a nice meal and some of the sights of Washington if no one plotzes from the heat.  Some of us are also planning a White House tour if we get one.  You might want to go there Andy before Mitt Rommel takes over by the way, oy vey.

Jody :)

Hi Andy:
It would be great to finally get to meet you in person. I will be getting in on the 26th ----- so, I am sure we can arrange a time among everyone to meet up after you are done at IAC.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Andy, it will be great to see you again.  I believe the meet and greet is scheduled for the evening of the 28th, but I could be wrong.  (see Dennis' thread)  The hotel info is in the hotel thread, but the date to get our ridiculously low rate may have just passed.
