Lymphocyte Transfer Study at NIH
« on: June 17, 2010, 04:48:22 pm »
FYI......I'm scheduled to go through the admissions process at NIH on thursday, June 24th.

My hopes are to qualify for the protocol for the Lymphocyte Transfer Study. I MUST be HLA B*57 POSITIVE in order to satisy the protocol. That will be determined with a blood test next week.

In summary, lymphocytes have been harvested from Elite Long Term Non Progressors (Donors) and will be infused into 3 recipients. I will be a recipient in this case. There will be a total of 3 infusions, about one every three months. I'm hopeful to find out what kind of effect this would have on the virus that I carry.......if any.......I'll keep you posted........

So I've got my fingers crossed that this will "pan out" for me.........

NIH will also be assessing my current regimen to possibly recommend changes to my PCP.......
