Well after being publicly slapped down over a post, I was prepared to gracefully retreat. However, to receive this message from one of the mods, I'm sad to say I'm out of here:

If that is the kind of contempt mods feel towards posters who cross their perceived lines, then this isn't much of a community.  Nice to know things are so black and white in mod land.  I often wondered why posters generally seem to come and go so quickly here, perhaps this is why.

See you all, good luck in your struggles with HIV and thank you for those who have been so helpful and supportive.

Northern, you're absolutely right to be offended. You have my complete apology. I can only say I had mixed up two separate circumstances when I wrote this comment in haste. It was  after a long day of appointments when I was trying to hurridley trying catch up on e mails.

That's only by way of explanation and not an excuse. You would understandably have been hurt by such a remark. If you know my communications in general you know I am actually quite consistently respectful in my comments.

Nevertheless this was a huge dumb on my part. Mea culpa and I hope you will accept my sincere apology.
