The old truck just got better
« on: December 09, 2007, 08:14:47 am »
Yesterday i tried a cassette adapter for the ipod in my old truck.
My truck like my Harley is like a old friend, i just love the damn thing.Small cab with a four speaker stereo, Warm and cozy.
Yesterday the sun was out and i needed to get out and clear the old noggin.Stopped at the gas station got a large coffee, hooked up the tunes.Had a smoke (the Queens brand, nuff said) the watched the road flow under the truck. Talk about a antidepressant folks. a light coating of snow to make everything pretty. just wanted to keep on truckin.

Luv Harley's, Lucas.  Actually, I used to "run around" with an old motorcycle club in my hometown.  I was dating one of the members, but alas, he ended up going to prison for drug dealing in Florida.  That motorcycle club (The Jokers) was disbanded by The Hell's Henchman, who were disbanded by the Devil's Disciples etc.   Gotta luv cruising around on a bike, listening to some good 'ol Edgar Winter. :)

Lucas,
I had an old Ford F250 for about half of forever. My favorite thing was to do exactly what you descrbed, but I also liked to take it out into the desert at night, and just sit in the bed or on the hood, have a smoke ;) and watch the stars come out. Sherman finally had to be sent away when he broke to the point that I couldn't get it fixed (249,000 miles). I now have a new old truck. Another F250, Ex-cab 4X4 '97 model, with only 150,000 miles. That 460 will run 'til Hell freezes over. I also have bikes as well, but the one I will remember best was Roscinante, my '82 GoldWing. I managed to rack up over 300,000 miles on it in 6 years. If machines could talk, that bike would have been speechless. I got it stuck on a 4X4 trail in Utah way up in the mountains. You should have seen the look on the faces of the hunters who picked me up while I was walking out. The trail was so crappy, it even gave their Bronco fits! Make lots of memories with your truck, and enjoy
