Hello,

I am a gay man and I have some question about the safety of some things I have been doing that make me have some troubles and worries.

I often have been meeting with other men for pleasure, but do not ever have sex or give oral.  

I do only masturbate with these men and we rub each other penises with each another - like holding them together and rubbing together.  I am uncut and often have some chafing on my penis if i am masturbating too much.  I am really worried about precum from this penis to penis rubbing and it getting into the scrapings on my foreskin.  

I was thinking I was being safe but now am very very worried as I have had some annonomous sex with some few men of which I do not know their status.

I enjoy this type frottage but am afraid of the chaffing on my penis being a place for hiv in precum?

This is my only risk as I am new to having sex with men. I do not ever do oral or anaul or rim.


please could i ask if this actions mean i need to test

Michelle, nothing you are reporting is in any way a risk for HIV transmission. Rubbing and mutual masturbation, no matter what details you throw into the mix, are not risky activities. In fact the only confirmed risks for HIV transmission sexually are unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. As long as condoms are used every time you will be well protected.

However, other STDs can sometimes be transmitted through skin to skin contact, so if you are sexually active we do recommend that a having a full STD panel done at least once a year is a good plan.

Thank you kindly for this.  I hope that I can continue to enjoy life with the actions I do.  I just wanted to make sure I understand this - when u say details this is ok with the scrapings and chaffings on my penis and some precum from the other men maybe coming to contactÉ
Also the kissing - if it is deep - not just a kiss is this okÉ

That's right, none of those things you are worrying about are risks for HIV transmission. Period.
