New Blog keeping diary on HIV meds.
« on: September 05, 2012, 07:50:21 am »

'm a 31 year old guy, very optimistic in character and with huge dreams! So far my life has been amazing! Then last year I found out I had HIV, I wasn't to surprised since I had been engaging in some self destructive sex- patterns, though it did hit me quite hard and I lived in denial for over a year. Then recently I decided to face the reality and deal with it. So today I will start treatment, and I decided to make this blog as a way to keep a record of my new commitment. I will take one pill of Stocrin and one of Truvada before I go to sleep in about 2 hours, I am scared but optimistic and at the same time grateful to all those that make it possible for me to at least have this option. I am scared of the side effects it will have on me both physically and mentally, yet I will from this moment on try to think about the good things, and not the possible bad. I will get through this and if the scary side effects occur I will deal with them.  But every night before I take my meds I will think positive thoughs, remember who I am and what I want in this life! This disease will not kill me nor will it define me!

Wish me luck tonight.

Good luck EuroLove.  I wish I had kept a blog or journal like so many on here.  I have my original test papers. I thinks it is important looking back.Your positive attitude is important.  Hugs Bobby

Hey man, THAT'S the spirit! Don't worry about side effects unless they actually occur and live your life as close to how you lived before your diagnosis as possible. You are healthy and that's all that matters.

And if an asshole rejects you because of your status then he didn't really love you to begin with. There will be others.
