The Presidential Advisory Committee on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) is the top advisory body to President Obama on the epidemic. Its membership includes people living with HIV, and it also includes long-time allies of CHAMP and members of our HIV Prevention Justice Alliance.

And, thanks in part to your efforts demanding community involvement in the National HIV/AIDS Strategy, PACHA members are currently reviewing a confidential draft of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy.

We want to make sure you knew about their next meeting, which will be conducted over the phone and is open for public participation.

Please note that only eight outsiders will be able to give public comment, using the process outlined below, but others can call in to monitor the meeting.

We'll be LIVE-BLOGGING during the call - meaning you can log into www.preventionjustice.org and send your observations and comments as the call is in session!

Meeting of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDSSUMMARY: As stipulated by the Federal Advisory Committee Act, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Service (DHHS) is hereby giving notice that the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS (PACHA) will hold a meeting. The meeting will be conducted as a telephone conference call and will be open to the public through a conference call phone number.DATES: The meeting will be on June 29, 2010 from 4 p.m. to approximately 5 p.m. EST.CONFERENCE CALL: Domestic: 888-455-2653. The Council was established to provide advice, information, and recommendations to the Secretary regarding programs and policies intended to (a) Promote effective prevention of HIV disease, (b) advance research on HIV and AIDS, and (c) promote quality services to persons living with HIV disease and AIDS. PACHA was established to serve solely as an advisory body to the Secretary of Health and Human Services.The meeting will be open to the public through a conference call phone number provided above. There will be a limited amount of open lines for the public; early registration is highly recommended. Individuals who participate using this service and who need special assistance or other reasonable accommodations, should submit a request at least five days prior to the meeting. Members of the public who participate using the conference call phone number will be able to listen to the meeting but will not be heard until the public comment period. Pre-registration is required for public comment. Hi YakaMein...I got it via e-mail from Champ and I've been getting e-mails from them for a few years now, I just thought I would paste this over here.  I have been to a couple of their meetings so if you contact them let me know why it wasn't posted yet to their website.  Thanks.
