Title: 4 week combo test
Post by: rico83 on April 29, 2009, 07:29:36 am
So 2 weeks ago on a friends party I played orally with an escort girl... First I made her cunnilingus for about 2-3 minutes, I licked outside, and put tongue about 1cm inside, maybe even not inside, maybe those were her lips, dont remember exactly. Then she made me blow job unpr aswell..

At first I felt very good, but after hour my mind started to going crazy, what If I got hiv... Now all this situation, when Ill think about her and this day make me sick, I felt slugish that I played with such womens.
I didnt have any other sexual experience in my life except this so Im scared now... For two weeks I cant normally function, think about it all the time. I wake up in the morning and feel terrible on my mind, with anxious, fear and black thoughts... I really dont have much power to deal with it more and more...

roco,

Cunnilingus is NOT a risk for hiv infection. Getting a blowjob is also not a risk for hiv infection. Not only is saliva not infectious, but it also contains over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv and render it unable to infect.

You need to be using condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, every time, no exceptions until such time as you are in a securely monogamous relationship where you have both tested for ALL sexually transmitted infections together. To agree to have unprotected intercourse is to consent to the possibility of being infected with an STI. Sex without a condom lasts only a matter of minutes, but hiv is forever.

Have a look through all three condom and lube links in my signature line so you can use condoms with confidence.

ALTHOUGH YOU DO NOT NEED TO TEST OVER CUNNILINGUS, anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to hiv testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start. As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine hiv tests to return with negative results. Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than hiv.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid hiv infection. It really is that simple!

I real all those comments but their go thorugh my head just like that and I calm for 10 minutes but then black thought and anxiety come back...

rico,

Yes, I'm SURE that you don't need to test over this incident.

When you become more sexually active, make sure you're using condoms and you'll be just fine where hiv is concerned. Read through the condom and lube links in my signature line so you know how to use them correctly. We're not born knowing how to use condoms, so get reading.

If you have a problem with hiv related anxiety, you're going to have to get yourself some counseling. We will not address your mental health care needs on this forum. - we only give transmission and testing advice.

You had NO risk of transmission and you do NOT need to test for hiv. There's nothing more to add.

rico,

If it were possible, there'd be cases. There aren't ANY proven cases, in over 25 years of this pandemic.

Go and test if you feel you need to in order to put your mind at ease, but don't expect to use this forum to fret about your NO RISK incident.

Thanks Ann, so would you put "=" sign between getting BJ and giving cunnilingus ?

Like Ann I don't see any risk for HIV transmission during the incident you are concerned about. Theoretically anytime you have sex with another person there is risk. But in the real world of HIV we know that the ONLY confirmed risks sexually are from unprotected vaginal and anal intercourse. So as long as you consistently use condoms for those activities then you will be well protected sexually against the virus.

From what you have written it seems you are new to becoming sexually active. That's exciting and can also bring all kinds of other emotions as you find your way through what is right for you and what isn't. What you've written about some of your feelings seem to me as if you're being rather harshly critical of yourself. You're a guy with sexual feelings and you're finding your way. Just try to stick with what feels ok for you. It takes time and experience and from my viewpoint it is a lifetime learning experience.

Just remember about the condoms. No exceptions.

This time I don't see any need for HIV testing nor for further concern on your part.

Cheers.

Thanks Andy a lot :) What you wrote could be true because after this incident I dont feel the same as before in mental way... You know I feel sth changed, Im not boy of my parents anymore, who they wanted to grow him well, give money for education etc.. And now I feel I cheated them by moving from them and especially with such girl.. Im so feared how I could dissapoint them, what would they say If I would become infected.. How can I help myself, this stress and anxiouty eats me alive and I have bad notes in school now because of that I cant learn

Also could you please answer on my specific q above, would you put equal sign between receiving BJ and giving cunnilingus in terms of risk ?

rico,

Getting a blowjob is not a risk for hiv infection. Cunnilingus is not a risk for hiv infection. So yes. Getting blown=no risk=cunnilingus=no risk=getting blown=no risk=cunnilingus=no risk ... ad infinitum. NO RISK.

Keep posting about this NO RISK incident and you WILL be given a time out. If you read the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) before posting like you're supposed to, you would have read the following posting guideline:

Quote
Anyone who continues to post excessively, questioning a conclusive negative result or no-risk situation, will be subject to a four week Time Out (a temporary ban from the Forums). If you continue to post excessively after one Time Out, you may be given a second Time Out which will last eight weeks. There is no third Time Out - it is a permanent ban. The purpose of a Time Out is to encourage you to seek the face-to-face help we cannot provide on this forum.

Please consider yourself warned.

Thanks, I dont want to pass your forum guideline... Im just angry that I cant accept what You write. I do not mean that you write not true, I think its true ofcourse but that I cant accept it and go on with my life... I just keep thinking and thinking and stressing and my mind keeps poping new and new scary thoughts about it..

When I had other medical problems in my life I just talked with pro or check on forums like this, get calmed that everything is okey and thing disapeared from my life.. But now Ive read pages of rational arguemnts but my mind keeps ignoring them playing his game in my head.

and btw 83 is not my born date, im 17 in next month

OK. So you're new to active sexuality and you're having all kinds of second thoughts and self-attacks about what you chose to do and whom you chose to do it with. None of that of course has anything to do with real risk, as we have clearly told you.

If you can't let go of all of this self-torture about it then I suggest you see a counselor or other professional and get some help sorting things out.

Cunnilingus is not any riskier than getting a blowjob. Question answered.

Title: 4 week combo test

I had oral episode with girl of uknown status (made her cunnilingus and then she gave me oral).
I know its zero or close to zero risk but I needed to test for peace of my mind.

I went for a test 4 week (exactly 27 days) after this episode. It was antibody and antigen p24 test. Result came back negative.. It calmed me down for a 2-3 weeks but now anxiety came back to me and I start to read and search net over again.

What are the chances of being negative at all after getting neg at 4 week test ? I heard around 90% for antibodies and even more for antigen part of the test. Is it true ?

Were there many cases when ppl tested neg at 4 weeks and then positive at 3 months ?

I know my risk was very low or there was no risk but I want to ask about effectivness of 4 week test ? Somewhere I even read p24 at 1 month is around 98% but dunno if its true, so I ask here as I can see there are experts.

Do I need to test again after 3 months?

rico,

I've merged your new thread into your original thread - where you should post all your additional thoughts or questions. It helps us to help you when you keep all your additional thoughts or questions in one thread.

If you need help finding your thread when you come here, click on the "Show own posts" link under your name in the left-hand column of any forum page.

Please also read through the Welcome Thread (http://forums.poz.com/index.php?topic=220.0) so you can familiarize yourself with our Forum Posting Guidelines. Thank you for your cooperation.

Re-read your thread. You've already been told repeatedly that you didn't have a risk and you don't need testing. Your test result is NOT going to change, you ARE hiv negative!

Don't keep posting about this NO RISK incident. Your time out warning still stands.

Ok sorry. I didnt want to be rude..I know what Ive been told here, I pointed it in my question that I want to ask about effectivness of 4 week combo test. Because I see there are well informed people and I meet different information about it on different sites.

For example doctors on medhelp say that its impossible to be infected and have both antigen and antibodies negative at 4 weeks, its very strong statement and I dont know is it true ?

Also how are the statistics or maybe you know cases where people tested neg at 1 month and then pos at 3 months ?

I know you can say why you ask this when you had no risk but it will help to calm my mind when I will know 1 month test is strong evidence Im neg.

It's time for you to move on. You have been given the same answers in two forums. You were never at risk.
