Jeez.
« on: November 24, 2008, 10:49:11 am »
I know this is sort of a vanity post but I was just going through my Photobucket today looking at old pictures and deleting ones I didn't need and I came across an old picture of me and I realized how much I've changed.

This picture is me when I was fifteen and really when I was just getting to know a lot of you. I hadn't started testosterone yet or really any sort of physical transition and I was looking even kinda young for fifteen. (Also, hairtastrophe):

And this is me yesterday, a year and a half on testosterone, eighteen years old and still sort of bad hair:

Aw sweetie, I have photos of you at that age that are so much more adorable than the one you posted.

You certainly are growing up to be a handsome young man. Oh to be 25 years younger... oh, yeah, and a guy... :D

I've been meaning to ask you... with all the (very admirable) extracurricular activities you're involved in, are you actually getting your schoolwork done? ~ducks~ Well, somebody  had to be the wet blanket and ask, and I am a trained mother/nag. LOL

Hugs,
Ann

Don't worry, I'm getting it cut tomorrow. Never again will you have to be seen in public with someone sporting emo hair.

Where have those years gone Mouse, it seems just like yesterday.

All I did was turn around and our little one turned into a young man, and a very handsome one at that..just not sure if that makes me happy or a little sad.

I can think of at least two people for whom that will mean a lot to. <3

I've been scratching my head over your comment for a couple days now - I'm not sure what you're referring to. If it's my age, you're out by six years. If it's your GPA, then WELL DONE! You always were one smart cookie, even if you do  have stupid emo hair. ;D

About the drawing Moffie posted, I've got that one in my archives too. Are you still in touch with the intrepid Ar... what was his name... Arped? Last I remember you mentioning him, he had been accepted to some fancy art school. I hope he's doing well and still drawing. He's good!

And I'm actually at Arpad's house right now. xD As I type this message.
He was accepted to MICA and SCAD and stuff but he couldn't afford to go even with the scholarships he got. So he's going to Pitt for Biology.

PS: Ugh those pictures. I look about 12.

Yay! I was hoping you were talking about your GPA. Well done, you're making all your aidsmeds aunts and uncles very proud indeed.

What a shame Arpad didn't get to go to the school he wanted. I'm surprised to hear he's doing biology - maybe he can have a career doing biology text book illustrations. He's really got quite a talent.

And yes, you did look young back in the day - you still do a bit. Why did you think we dubbed you "baby-boi"? LOL

When do we get to see a photo of you now that you're allegedly sans stupid emo hair?

HA! I made more rainbow spiral tie-dyes than you could shake a stick at back when I worked for (and ran the dye room) at Not Fade Away Graphics in NY. I still have a couple tie-dyes I wear when I'm feeling hippyish.

Now about that hair, young man. Looks like Emo-80s Fusion. Oh dear.

Nevermind, it will grow. ;)

I just bought a tie-dye shirt a few weeks back.  It's quite stylish.

Jaser, don't worry so much about hair, as my sweetie always says; it will grow out.

I still don't know why I didn't dye my hair pink when I was still in my thirties, so now it's thirty years later and 60 year old men don't dye their hair pink, especially in Republican Arizona.  Bleah.....

Jeffery, just because you live in the only Democratic stronghold of the state, doesn't mean that the whole state is that way.  Hell, when was the last time you were held in front of a Glock handgun because you were trying to promote democratic government?  Yes, Ann is right, too many Republican Mormons here to try anything considered too far out.  I think Jaser knows about CONSERVATIVE neighborhoods also.  :)

If you're going for an 80s look you need to do it properly.  I had this doo in 1982 but it was more shaved on the sides and back, and teased up a bit more on top.  You need some Queen Helene pomade/styling gel.
