Title: Oral sex with Shemale(HELP)
Post by: anturion on August 19, 2014, 02:53:55 pm
Some time ago I did oral sex on a shemale. Her penis was not hard and I sucked for about two minutes. I stopped and rigth after I washed my mouth with water. I am extremely distressed. What risks do I have? My mouth has no problems or injuries. Please help me out.

Oral sex is not a risk for HIV infection.  HIV is a very fragile virus and when exposed to air, changes in temperature and pH render the HIV unable to infect.  The mouth is another barrier in that it contains proteins and enzymes that also make it so HIV is unable to infect.

The risk factors for HIV are ...

Sharing IV drug needles immediately after use.
Unprotected anal and vaginal sex.
Mother to child during or shortly after birth.
Very specific healthcare situations.

Anyone who is sexually active should be having a full sexual health care check-up, including but not limited to HIV testing, at least once a year and more often if unprotected intercourse occurs.

If you aren't already having regular, routine check-ups, now is the time to start.  As long as you make sure condoms are being used for intercourse, you can fully expect your routine HIV tests to return with negative results.

Don't forget to always get checked for all the other sexually transmitted infections as well, because they are MUCH easier to transmit than HIV.  Some of the other STDs can be present with no obvious symptoms, so the only way to know for sure is to test.

Use condoms for anal or vaginal intercourse, correctly and consistently, and you will avoid HIV infection. It really is that simple!

I'm freaking out. I am taking medicine to stress and anxiety since that happened. I do not have any symptoms. Do I have to worry about the risk for HIV? Should I test for HIV?

You did not have a risk and if this is the only incident that concerns you, you have no need to test.

Thanks for the answer.
This is the only possible exposure that I had. But I can"t stay calm. I don't know anymore what to do in order to take this fear of my mind.
I know there is no proved case of HIV infection by oral sex. And I sucked for a sort time, I think that there was not even precum, her dick didn't got hard. I stopped before.

If you cannot move past this issue, you should consult with a professional.  You need to work with someone to help you overcome your irrational fear of being infected.

Best of luck.
