Dear All,

Just want to let you know that after giving years of great yeoman service as moderator and account approval wiz, Jeff has decided to go back to regular member status. He will still give an occasional hand in AM I INFECTED.

Joe K will now be co-moderating with me.

Big cheers for both Jeff and Joe for their unstinting quality service here.

Cheers,

Andy

Um, don't forget about me!  I know I'm not around a whole lot and will work on that.  I have the flu right now so am sleeping a lot.

I was shocked when Jeff texted me and was trying to think of a good way to shame him.  No, he knows I love him.  He will definitely be missed.

Three cheers to Jeff and many thanks for all his efforts!  He seems to have been tireless, so good for him to take a well-deserved break.  Thanks, also, to all the continuing moderators.  This forum would not exist without you and the generous contribution of your time.  You are all fantastic!

i don't think we can ever say thanks enough to all the moderators (past, present or future - once a Mod always a Mod). Many people have been educated about their sexual health, more conflicts than we can count have had some sort of resolution (even if it was by having a thread locked), and numerous spammers and snake-oil salesmen have been deterred  - all these efforts have given us a great place to meet, greet, and discuss all things HIV for well over a decade and a half (or is it closer to two decades?!?)

Thank You to ALL the Moderators  :-*

Jeff,

What are you going to do with your retirement?  Golf?  Moving to a condo in Del Boca Vista?  Seinfeld fans will get that.

I know it takes up a lot of time for the moderators.  I certainly appreciate the time they all give, when there's dinner to be made, work to be done, grocery store trips to be made, calls to dispute some bogus charge on a bill, etc.  Speaking of that, it does seem like y'all should at least get your internet bill paid by the forums.  I realize there probably aren't funds for that.  Perhaps the money made from "Am I" should go to help pay the Internet bills.  There's probably not enough revenue from that either.

Thanks for your service.

Jeff,
After reading the others posts , it came to me what a demanding
Job this was for you , especially with having to help take
Care of your mom . You did a great job and deserveve a
big pat on the back .

Sometimes when things got a little too to serious, or tense
you always managed to work in a zinger to crack every one up , and
offer great advice at the same time. Now you can do that
at your leisure with out having to weed out the wing nuts ,and spammers ,trying
To open new accounts at the same time.

I'm keeping this about you so you don't report me !
Oh and when I first read this I thought you and Ted eloped !  LOL

Your help and understanding was so very appreciated.. You guided me through some of the darkest times of my life.. Thank you

Love, hugs and wishing you the very best..

Jeff,

First, I will simply say thank you!

I will miss your moderating here but you know that you can continue to try to moderate me offline as you have. It never works but I think you enjoy trying.

After working endless hours of doing much more than meets the eye here you deserve more time to yourself. Trying to figure out what you would like for a retirement gift. Hmmm...

Best wishes to Andy, Joe, and Betty in continuing on with a few more bricks in your backpacks.

Hugs,

Why does all the drama happen when I'm away, oh wait! there was no drama, well apart from Jeff threatening to report Leatherman, but Leatherman mentioned *past* Mods, and that included me so I'm good with that, Jeff was just being a meanie because that post wasn't ALL about him.  ;D

You did a great job Jeff, but sometimes we just need to take a break from it all.

I will hopefully hear from the horses mouth very soon.

I always found pleasure in telling Jeff privately, what a great job he did moderating the forum.  But really Jeff, you did an awesome job of keeping the focus on this being a place of support.  It didn't matter if you were some guy who grazed a toilet seat with your penis; afraid, and alone with your fears because you have a runny nose.

You might even be a guy who wakes up in the middle of the night-- with a figure standing above you while your pet cat offers no help.  Jeff will treat you both the same.

It takes special people to perform like this.  They only come from the South, and small little islands surrounded by sharks, or royalty.

I despise the song Love is in the Air, you should too.
